    Your play is a lot smoother than mine.. what video card setup are you using?

     

    I had to laugh at your empire ilum 1v1 ... same on our server except its a mass empire zerg in central.

     

    That gunslinger that was highest ranked valor looked to be DF... surprised he lost with LOS..

     

    Why no scrambling field (or did i miss it)

    Ilum.

    From a republic side ilum is being outnumbered and lagged, trying to do the daily by picking off slow people before the MASSIVE zerg kills you.

     

    I preferred the old ilum.. it sucked, but it was quick.

  2. For straight up dmg per energy I dont think you can beat SS... but imo you trade it for reduced movability, less aoe dmg (although X flyo is still awesome no matter what spec).

     

    I have not really used a high sabo spec except for pvp and it lasted an hour or so :p

     

    DF, done some hardmodes/pvp. It is hard to manage energy but once you get the hang of it is pretty potent, very mobile etc.... I pull aggro more on DF though than SS.

     

    I suppose it just depends on playstyle.

  3. It is clunky in PVE as well, I go DF its just a small dps loss (imo) with the ability for movement (trick though is energy management).

     

    In PVP cover is clunky... but its cool thing that defines our class... imo it just needs to be tweaked.

     

    I like the idea of auto-cover if ability is used... but it should be an option (like cover bar).

     

    I do think some skills (the aoe pulse/knockback) should be removed from cover..maybe speedshot as well.

     

    Another option is to remove cover from all abilities, but give cover a range bonus if used :)

  4. I have found DF to be better for me in PVE and PVP at the moment (especially for movement fights).

     

    Cover is clunky but works ok, they just need to remove a few talents required from it and smooth the transition from person/cover/ability fire (and its annoying camera lock?)

  5. I run a heavy DF build... sucks for changing targets though, energy cost is high....

     

    I ran a full 31 SS build and with rapid fire (which you dropped) it was a very bursty (but not mobile) spec.

     

    I have yet to do a full sabo spec for any great measure of time.

  6. I didnt realise it moved your energy... dissapointing... might be better then to get themal grenade cooldown.

     

    I also dont think the 2pc champion "dodge" bonus is working.

     

    ATM I have 3x champion and 2xfield tech (thanks PVP bags).

     

    The flyover bonus is awesome in pve... in pvp i find it mostly useable on objectives or on myself to persuade melee classes to leave me alone... most people know to avoid the animation now.

  7. So I have not thought about it so it might be stupid....

     

    Personally if it were up to me, Id remove most of the abilities from cover requirement, but that if in cover increases dmg OR range of attacks by %d (or you can go reverse, outside of cover has a -% penalty).

     

    Or restrict hard hitting shots (aimed/charged) as cover, rest off it (personal peeve having to drop into cover to knock people off of bridges in huttball).

  8. On the champ enforcer I don't notice dodge actually being extended that 1 second.

     

    I will probably go champion to start with for pvp for the 115 energy in DF.

     

    For PVE, 2pc field tech for the flyover dmg :>

     

    Thanks to bags and doubling up on loot, i have almost the same field tech items now as champion.

     

    Also, some items dont seem to have field tech equiv (ears/implants/wrist?) or im blind :p

  9. I am level 50, and it is a clunky mechanic, and too many abilitis (SS in particular) is required to be used in cover... which if you have done any hardmode is not good.

     

    PVP, its also clunky.

     

    They just need to smooth it out between cover/abilities, and maybe make some abilities work inside AND outside of cover (not even all, id be happy if i had to use cover for aimedshot/charged burst).

     

    Edit: Although sabo/DF are arguably not as restrictive, its sad when you have to choose a spec not because of playstyle, but because its less "buggy" :p

  10. Im a casual pvp er... valor rank 14, 50 for 2 weeks, do ilum daily/weekly... and buy bags sometimes.

     

    I have champion ear, feet, legs, wrist, belt and 2x centurion implants from the centurion tokens from bags.

     

    Ive doubled up on feet/legs (companion wearing them).

     

    Waiting on helm/chest weapons and any relic better than my matrix cube.

     

    I think I have been pretty lucky...

     

    A mate of mine has had 5 lightsabers.

     

    RNG is bad, but i think they should balance it a bit... allow you to maybe trade unwanted items in for centurian tokens or fix their math.

     

    On the other side, im starting to lose surge rating in favor of expertise!
