This. It has nothing to do with the lore, this is the simplest and most likely answer. It's not because Luke was untrained and Vader was old, it's because 40 years passed. The reason the prequel fights are like that are because of the way cinema has changed. People keep saying that lightsabers are weightless. Provide a source that lightsabers are easy to wield, because everything I've read suggests the opposite.

Indeed. George created an excellent trilogy of movies that made an indelible impact on pop culture and cinema. He certainly had a right to go ahead and make more films. But being the creator does not excuse him from editing his already celebrated works more than three decades after the fact. Once you release something like that, a movie, a record album, whatever, it ceases to be yours and now belongs to the people who find joy in it. That would be like Paul Mccartney going back and recording overdubs for Beatles songs. While admittedly most of the changes to the new editions of the first trilogy are minor, I certainly can relate to people who are quite upset about it...especially such instances as the Han and Greedo scene (which, by the way, just looks sloppy and poorly implemented). Though George Lucas can console himself by saying "it's mine, i made it, it came to me", that does not make the original works any less sacrosanct or precious to those who love them. For someone who claims to be so driven on creating things for children to enjoy, he should understand that.

One of the major things that I feel is missing from that chat UI options is the combat log. If I miss the numbers popping over my head when I get a critical hit, I'm not going to have any idea of how much damage I actually did, and that kind of thing is a bit important to me. I can't go back after I get wasted by an elite and see what happened, or where exactly I went wrong. I've scoured the options menu for a combat log toggle, but I'm not seeing anything whatsoever about it. This is baffling to me, because literally every other MMO (except planetside and UO) had a combat log. How could they not include this (in my opinion) essential feature?

It's when you activate an ability and it takes at least 1-2 seconds to actually start. Like I'll target an enemy on my Sith Marauder and hit my charge attack, but it will take WAY too long for my character to actually move

Always thought Yoda should have had more compassion in that scene in EP3 rather than just telling Anakin "don't mourn for the dead, don't miss them. accept it and move on". For someone who's been training young people for 800 years, you'd think he'd be more perceptive of Skywalker's mental state even with his diminished ability to discern with the force. Even acknowledging Anakin's obvious grief would have gone a long way towards steering him away from anger I think

I'm definitely going to see it. I used to hate the prequels, but now that some time has passed I can watch them with amusement and even entertainment.

I understand how the technology might not have advanced very much in a couple of milennia, but the fact that the fashion and style of things in the SW universe has not changed is absurd. Speeders look nigh identical to the ones in the films, republic soldier armor is incredibly close to the clone/stormtrooper armor, the style in imperial architecture with the metal grates with lights behind them, and so on. I can understand how they would want to maintain a sense of continuity, so people know it's star wars, but to be the fact that the aesthetic style of the universe in this game is the same as the films is totally absurd and immersion breaking, considering the 3000 year gap

Just saw some videos on youtube of atmospheric flight in SWG. I can't believe they added it in! All those years we had hoped for it. If I knew they had added that in I definitely would have resubbed. Imagine the possibilities that could've been if there was atmospheric flight from launch?
