  1. Obi wan held back on mustafar. he was a better duelist, he got the high ground. he didnt want to kill what he saw as his little brother. youd have reservations too. and his stupidity is still him, he would still have arrogance and stupidity against anyone else.
  2. what room are you talking about? a room of padawans? while he had a fleet of storm troopers at his back? and why does GL say my argument doesn't matter? was starkiller not canon? anakin spent his youth fighting droids. and as stated before sidious didnt teach him ****.

I used nothing but canon lore.

  3. As cool as Darth Vader is and as strong as he is in the force, he lacks knowledge.

As Anakin Skywalker he was trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi who had only just himself become a Knight when taking Anakin as his first padawan. Anakin was never recognized as a Jedi Master before turning to the dark side. Anakin's experiance as a padawan and knight mainly center on the clone wars; killing lots of inept droids and fighting only two Sith.

When Anakin turned to the dark side, Darth Sidious didn't teach him anything.

As Darth Vader he was defeated by Obi-Wan Kenobi and crippled. Darth Sidious rescued him and set him up in a partial cyborg body and continued to not teach him anything* but rather just treated him like an errand boy sending him around to assassinate stray Jedi who avoided the purge. Darth Vader never gained any real knowledge of the dark side besides "ANGER = STRONG, RAWR!!!".

Lastly, I'm relatively sure Sidious ensured that Vader's suit was vulnerable to Force Lightning since a few seconds of lightning broke Vader's respirator. We'd probably have to ignore this in any "vs" argument just to level the playing field though.

    * Sidious had no incentive to teach Vader anything about the dark side because he never intended for Vader to become the master, rather Sidious would resurrect himself using the Force and clone bodies and become immortal. Vader was a throw-away apprentice as we see when Sidious trys to recruit Luke.

    Pretty much this ^

  4. No Idea what you're talking about, huh?

Obi wan beats Vader on mustafarr. obi wan lets vader kill him in new hope. This isnt a REVAN IS ALL POWERFUL fan boy post. but the fact remains, vader gets beat by a lot of people. at any point. to fight revan, who was a force user, not a slave to light or dark wouldnt be much of a contest imo.

his apprentice (starkiller The force unleashed) beats him at the end of the story. sidious doesnt even really kill him, he sacrifices his life force to subdue the emperor. though i guess that part is up for debate.

  5. Vader got beat by his old jedi master. Kenobi would, and did wipe the floor with anakin. Obi wan was old in IV, plus vader was more machine then man, on top of the fact, that obi wan knew he would continue to train once he became one with the force. so he didnt put up a fight. if he truly lost the match, there would have been a body.

Vader would get demolished by revan. case closed. even his apprentice puts the beats on him. Vader is over rated.

  6. Like I said, I checked out the synthweaving trainer and looked at the stuff that we can craft all the way up to level 49, so yes, those 5 unique chest pieces with hoods on are all we have to look forward to for us crafters. Maybe there are other rare drops along the way that look different and have hoods down, but the fact of the matter is currently there is no sign of hood-down chest pieces in the foreseeable future.

it is the beginning of a game, not even an expansion. rest assured, these "recipes" will be added too.

  7. You can't work for something that isn't there.

I am genuinely asking whether hood down gear exists for Guardians AT ALL, at any level. It's not a matter of asking for goodies at the door, it's a matter of whether there any goodies in the entire house.

If these armors, with the hood down, are in the game at any level:

    http://www.swtor.com/media/screens/miraluka-0

    http://www.swtor.com/media/screens/miraluka-1

    I'll be okay with that.

But I also disagree with you that your point applies to a hood toggle. People with helmets can look at their character's head easily. There is a hide helmet feature included. People with hoods cannot.

This game is almost a third cut scenes with close ups. I would like to not look bald under a hood in every one, as that is not what I selected my character to look like. This thread is not about wanting the coolest gear now, it is about wanting my character to look the way BW suggested he would during three years of marketing, and wanting a feature that smugglers, BH's, and Troopers have with the touch of a button.

Do you know what level those models where? what content they were being shown at? its impossible to know whats entirely in the game at this point. not to mention expansions and such. i cant comment on the toggle, as i too would have enjoyed the option. but you cant hold it against them for having certain quarks and such. wow didnt get an appearance tab till last month. DCUO did do a great job on styles, but game play, environment and many other aspects are lacking. its an mmo in its infancy, thats performing at levels surpassing others. be patent, if in three months we cant find you a hoodless/down piece somewhere, ill eat my hood.

  8. Can i ask, who here is at end game? or even past level 35 for that matter? gear is something to be achieved in an mmo. Complain about aesthetics later on, in end game when content has been explored. don't expect all your goodies right out the door. this is an MMO. go work for it.
  9. I have been silently waiting in the shadows of this thread. Though i never posted, i feel connected to you all. with that said
