  1. You'd think that, but not consuming EB stacks doesn't mean infinite 70k DPS - the heart of the bug is despite being stuck at 4 stacks, the Energy Burst activates at the 1 stack level only for damage, and using abilities to force set your stacks back to 4 don't do anything. The only work around if it triggers on you is to manually click off the energy burst stacks from your buff bar and then rebuild them.
  2. I did not mean 80% of all players are bad. I mean 80% to get an insult by other players = bad, angry players. My misstake. I was angry becasue other players get's stomped/stumped or whatever its called. I have also insult other players, then I see how bad player I am and make other players angry. So best way is to be calm and help, give tips.

    (sorry for bad english)

your accidental statement was more correct than anything else you've thrown around in here, the vast majority of the active playerbase in both regular and ranked PVP is awful.

  3. I'm really starting to think thats what it is in this case.

Who cares who has some 224 gear. It's not like there is a reason to show it off or even give a rats arse about what some other gamer got in a raid of the week.

EV is the raid of the week. Is it a easier? Sure is. Enjoy.

there are no elitists left in this game, the elitists quit when NiM ToS/Rav was scrapped.

the people you see complaining are simply slightly to moderately better players than you and are experiencing what you'll hit in about a month - boredom. The content is easy, the repeatable incentives to play it aren't there, and none of it is a fresh experience because much of it is just as easy now as it was pre 4.0 with some of it being even easier. For those who actually find it hard you can pay credits to craft the ***** crystal that will number crutch you through nightmare.

  4. Yep, its like I never believe the 20% RE chance prior to 4.0. At 20%, I should really have had to make about 5 items to statistically get 100% chance, but it was always more like 15. Now stackables, yes, 5 usually always gave me a crit, but non-stackable items, no way.

that's not how statistic work, friend.

  5. is this a bad thing tho? If anything it means there will be new ops early next year that will require 224 as SM, IF not, then I don't understand BW's thinking.

I sincerely doubt we'll be seeing an operation release in the middle of KOTFE season 1 chapters. I could be pleasantly surprised, but at this point Bioware has earned and deserves no trust on the operations content release schedule considering they left us in DF/DP for so long, then lied about never doing it again and left us in ToS/Rav for a near equally unacceptable time period.

  6. he adopts and embodies an idealistic interpretation of the Sith Code -

Fundamentally he envisions and works towards an empire built on upwards mobility based on meritocracy and ambition, with the fundamental assumption that each person working to better themselves will better the society as a whole. His philosophy and action is devoid of the usual backbiting of other Sith, living instead by the mantra Might makes Right. This is seen in things like how he handles the Wrath's ascension (conflict between Wrath and Baras, whoever triumphs in combat is clearly correct). That being said he also subverts this ideal when it is in the best interest of the empire (dealing with strong idiots, he is distraught at the damage pointless in-fighting does to the empire).

He is also, uniquely, limited in his ambitions on the dark council. Though clearly the dominant force he declines ascending the emperors seat, whether out of an understanding of his own severe mortality or a desire to not give other council members a more clear target to compete for and against is up to interpretation.

Lastly we see his dedication to fighting in our short personal experience with him in chapter 1. Dedicated to fighting at all costs, he shows defiance even to the point of his death against Valk/Vitiate. Overall he's the sith with the most developed character and dark-side personality that remains accessible to light/neutral characters.

That being said, I find it a shame they couldn't retread Darth Jadus, who philosophically was a much more dark-side oriented leadership figure.

  7. i dont know if you can call it being a cry baby, putting your highest impact items in the game (224 mainhand and relic) into one of the easiest pieces of 8 man content in the game (EV) in the third week of your content's release is, to say the least, an amateurish design decision.

we're talking handing out NiM push level gear to players who will never see nightmare content because they don't have to and don't want to. They have literally no use for the items either, unless they really need to shave time in their star fortress solos. All casual content is either bolstered (planetary heroics, events, PVP, SM ops, all group finder content), or severely undertuned (HM ops).

Its nothing against the players who will take advantage of this, more power to them. Its honestly just a reiteration of their design philosophy when they did the 204 mainhands with CM -> difficult content is exclusively for cosmetics.

Unfortunately, there were not enough updated cosmetic and deco drops added to the NiM or difficult HM content to incentivize what little high end raiding community remains as any group that can clear the current NiM's was already farming them pre 4.0 and has a full complement of decos, mounts, and the now removed shiny gear skins.

In general I would not be surprised to see the long term removal of remaining NiM content, or its complete nerfing into irrelevance, as its playerbase continues to evaporate. In general this will also trivialize existing SM and HM ops content as the gearing process will no longer be an incentive, and the HM and SM cosmetics are easily farmable and lacking in variety.

So we end up looking at a design decision that indicates no actual plans to develop or sustain a good repeatable end-game content model. This means your only content of quality is KOTFE chapters, and i'm sorry, KOTFE was too short. If the first 9 chapters are any indicator of the length we'll be getting going forward, KOTFE in its entirety will struggle to match the longevity of many indy game RPG's, and will pale in comparison to titles even decades old now (old Mass Effect, original KOTOR, Dragon Age Origin).

they've also fully embraced legacy armor of popular old shells in a non-CM format, a decision which I find questionable at best when the CM will become even more of your revenue share as KOTFE is not good for subscribers.

Overall I think the long-term impacts of this xpac will be the continued marginalization of SWTOR as a game, I foresee very little sustained increase in population from the movie releases as SWTOR matches neither the period nor aesthetic and storyline of The Force Awakens.

TL:DR the highlighted HM op of the week indicates one of two things - either the devs have simply abandoned the idea that an MMO needs sustainable end-game content that feels challenging and rewarding, or they're too incompetent to realize the secondary and tertiary consequences of this action. In either case, I find myself unwilling to support them and hope this project can get wrapped up so the star wars IP can be taken by a better team and we can finally get a decent game in time for the eighth movie.

  8. Give it a couple of months until they actually realise this and they'll probably release 228 gear or something around that ilevel for NiM only ops, to me the Highlighted Ops make sense, it's a great way to get people to play some of the older content more. Let's face it who would want to do EC HM for gear when "easier" Ops are available!

EC HM is easy, the only fights that are still even remotely "hard" in hardmode appear to be Coratanni, Revan, Master/Blaster. Everything else has either been improperly scaled (HM DF/DP) or improperly scaled and mechanically outdated (Most of SnV, TFB, EC, EV, KP).

  9. Well Disney is the IP holder now so yeah it was Disney.

I was actually hoping for discussion of the topic, not pilpul about minutiae contained within my post.

when that minutiae implies your initial point is grounded in a lack of understanding of how and why the EU was being abolished overall its relevant. Disney tossed the EU because it gives them and the people they hire complete creative license to develop films and content for the time periods going forward. It also separates them from a body of work that is largely below the standard of polish disney has insisted on for many of its recent projects - the EU was a haven for low tier writers who build careers off of star wars IP, using lightsabers to mask bad character development and poor writing while also alleviating the need to do anything like world-build.

  10. Instead of taking the time to confirm that the server is , indeed, down... or typing up vaporous ETAs on restoration, perhaps the devs are busy working on the problem. Their silence is encouraging if you ask me.

implying every active worker at bioware is a trained participant in server diagnostic and repair, this is when CM's are supposed to do their job and manage the community. Eric Musco has no business working on server repairs, but he absolutely does have a responsibility to acknowledge the outage and relate the status of the repair being done by other people. If the CM's arent going to do this why are they even employed?
