Definitely doesn't seem like a connection issue. I have a decent internet connection. There's even a point where the player I'm attacking will stop and look at me in confusion as to why I'm not doing anything. That also doesn't explain why switching to a different character lets me attack again.

I'm playing carnage and the problem is mainly with ranged attacks (devastating blast, vicious throw, dual saber throw) . My ping is usually 50-70 and I'm playing the game on high graphics running at 60 fps. I've got a logitech G600 gaming mouse. Anyone else having this issue?

Just had a good 20 seconds of being unable to use any attacks in my last wz. I love pvp so this is incredibly frustrating

Looking for a guild that always has 1 or 2 pvp groups going, but isn't lame enough to talk **** to other players in pvp/gen chat. Imp or Pub side. I'm a decent player. Not A+ but I can hold my own. 2k-5k dps depending on the wz and how objectively I'm playing. I don't really have much of an interest in ranked. I've done it before and I do decent, but there's a culture I can't stand associated with players who que rank too much.

Are there actually any decent ones? I see a few with funny names that are pretty good - Forceskin, girl with a broken mic, Scare Bears, to name a few - but everyone else seems to either be ****, or too large and has a bunch of bads along with the goods. I thought Wildcards and Backpack were ok, but I've run into some pretty sub-par players there too (although it could've been people learning to play on alts). Is there a truly dominant pvp guild around these days?

I'm Mara he was a Sniper. Nah no dvl just a mutt mix of blues and greens. Probably just hit 70. I'm not complaining. I still have fun regardless of other people's gear. Just curious if anyone has any answers or has seen something similar.

I know these are minuscule differences and I don't really care about gear too much. I realize skill will almost always beat gear in this game. I just want to know why he gets a better bolster.

It just doesn't make sense. Why would his gear bolster better than mine? Shouldn't my gear below 232 be the same as his and my 240 gear give me a slight advantage in stats? This guy had 3k more health than me and 500 more mastery. He was valor lvl 10 too, so it was a randomly geared new toon.

I know I'm beating a dead horse here, but I'm confused as to how bolster works. I know you get bolstered to 232 and I'm cool with that. But I was in a WZ and saw a toon in blue and green 208's-220's (just a mix mash didn't seen like there was any order to it) and he had better stats than me even though I've got 7 240 pieces and the rest T1. Does each piece get bolstered? Does it take your average gear rating and bolster from there? Sorry if another bolster thread angers you for some reason, just looking for some answers.

Totally agree. A good player is a good player regardless of gear, bolster makes sure of that. I just returned after a couple years to 5.0 and couldn't believe how bad the gearing system was. At least with 5.1 you get unassembled gear component-things so you're making some progress. I like how they put the bolster down too. I don't want gear to matter too much, but I want it to matter a little bit so I have something to look forward to at the end of the grind.

I just boosted a character to lvl 60 to do the expansions, but when I start them it takes away all my abilities. Is this supposed to happen? I can't really attack or dps without them

I've still seen players with near identical gear clocking in 5k more augs or not. Other people have been posting about this too, not just me. Players with toons identical on pub and imp and one has the endurance bug.

My health also stays the same in and out of wz's, something that doesn't seem to happen with anyone else. Anyone know anything about this? Am I just an unlucky bugged player or am I doing something wrong? That extra 5k health sure would've came in handy in some of the close ranked games I've had. I know this is a known problem so far, but being one of the ones affected I'm going to post it in caps in every forum I can. I don't disagree with you. I'd love to win every time but that's not going to happen. In that game I simply couldn't kill their healers/tanks and not enough people were focusing them other than me. I didn't get any objective points because I'm a sniper and it's not very smart to stand in the point zone if you're ranged. That's what's stupid about the OP, it's hard to say if someone's damage is pointless or not, cause you're most likely not paying attention to what they're doing. You look at that game and it may seem like I was tunnel visioning at pointless targets since I racked up 930k dmg with little objective score, but really I was focusing healers the whole game while also fending off attacks on myself and trying to pull for my healers. I'm not saying that you have to do a lot of damage every game, but you have to be CAPABLE of putting up high numbers if the situation calls for it. In my experience if you're complaining then you're probably bad anyways.

I'm not saying the best dps wins. I'm saying that you should be able put up high numbers in this game or you're kinda useless.

If anything it shows good reflex and micro. But I'd rather do 250k and win than do 1 mil and lose.
