  1. Akaavi, I once lost 438 affection with her simply for not killing somebody
  2. That may have to do with the fact that smugglers are the least played class on most servers. they are slowly becoming more popular as alts. In the Course of 1 EV and 1 KP run I managed to get everything but my boots and my belt for my columi and rakatta set. it drops and often times even in Pug's I'm the only Smuggler
  3. as far as your cool under pressure? how much do you solo? As a gunslinger you don't have a heal, so when soloing I have found that 6% to be useful in big fights or if I get an unexpected respawn
  4. Sometimes it will tell you to go back to the spaceport to get to your ship. I had this happen on Hoth. I went to the transport and selected to go to my ship rather than go to the space terminal then my ship. so i had to go back to the terminal to talk to Guss then to my holoterminal then to port nowhere
  5. you have to ask yourself do you want to heal? or do you wants to rock faces off? Gunslinger is a bit more of a DPS ranged attack. Where the scoundrel is more like a rogue with healing abilities. It's all about your playing style. My gunslinger works for me because I have times when i prefer to solo so i can use corso or bowdar as a tank and then I just stand back and throw bombs and shoot it up. the scoundrels attacks are closer ranged so you run a great risk of taking hard hits unless your companion keeps some sort of taunt to keep the agro off of you.
  6. Maybe I'm one of the few who Corso hasn't gotten to crazy with. But early on I kept the flirts to a minimal. I shot him down at the first "captain have you ever thought of giving up the adventure to settle down?" around 30 I started flirting a little. But I saw the crazy jealous tendency when I first got to the cantina on Corruscant. So i knew that if I didn't play it carefully I would loose too much affection with him. and the greater the affection they have for you the better they do with your crew skills. It's all in how much and how often you flirt that determines how crazy he will end up getting
  7. Are you burning through it even if you use "cool head" usually i can pop that and on big bosses it is ready by the time I need it again
  8. It really depends on how you spec yourself. I have gone with a hybrid spec, I can't heal but I can do plenty of damage and I haven't had an issue with running out of energy. that's what Coll Head is for, and if you add points to your talent tree for it then you get a little baby healing bonus to boot. My gunslinger hasn't been the easiest toon to get use to. at first I was actually kind of regretting my smuggler. But i stuck it out and I learned the smuggler play style. If you need to equate it to another type of toon think of it ore as a hunter or a ranger from other MMO/RPG's. Not neccesarily the most important, but you know when they are there
  9. When it comes to my smuggler I was always all about the credits...HAHA
  10. What level are you? I initially got the first portion of the quest (which will not show in your quest log) around 21 then around 25 he told me he needed to speak with me and he had gotten more info about somebody who could help find her. but the quest is able to be completed before you finish chapter 1
  11. Go into his skills and turn off the EMP that will prevent him from breaking your CC. I miss harpoon too, but I am learning to adapt
  12. Puddle of Mudd - starship Seriously the ultimate smuggler song
  13. I really enjoy my gunslinger. you don't have too many melee attacks but you can do a ton of damage from afar. I know somebody who went Scoundrel and since you heal you get more melee attacks The one thing i have that they don't is more crowd control. Or if they have them they don't know they have them. With my gunslinger I have been known to take out mobs of 4-5 that are 5 levels above me. I can't say if that is because of the fact that I have been gaming for too many years or the advance spec. However it does come in handy when I am soloing.
  14. I would be happy if we could just get a kessle run
  15. I agree with this. look at it like this you are playing Han's ancestors. It is a different world than it will be when Han comes along. However from game play experience i would say Gunslinger would be your closest fit. Han was excellent an ducking behind things to save his backside from a blaster round. He was all about getting out unscathed which is what the goal of your gunslinger is. You blow things up you do some damage and when the oing gets tough you find a way to distract the enemy to get away. if you look at it when did we ever see Han heal himself? He didn't. you know why he didn't have to. He did the max amount of damage that he had to to get out in one piece While you do build some blasters with arms teching most of it is weapons mods. At least in the level I'm at currently. It makes sense though that he might make weapons as a form of currency. When worlds are at war and you need to negotiate yourself out of a sticky situation having a case or two of blasters around could help you out.
