  1. Absolutely not. This game is on par with Lotro imo and Lotro is FTP plus i prefer Lotro lore. Have fun yall in Tor
  2. Lol - yeah wow is dead... because you logged on to your friends accnt and checked three realms. Why even post? This is irrelevant to Tor and a poor attempt at a moral booster.
  3. you win. I posted in the wrong spot. Dang this is a tough crowd...
  4. General discussion.... i thought this was, yanno, general discussion... I could talk about wow, and rift, and how something about the graphics is messed up. or about a LFD, recount, macros, interface, addons... but i thought we had enough of those.
  5. I'm sure Jania is completely wonderful, but she isn't part of the six movies so i don't consider it lore. There has to be a cut-off when it comes to star wars lore... there are so many authors that is has become one big fan fiction fest. So that is why i stick with the movies.
  6. Wow Star Wars Lore is really all over the place isn't it... and Luke defeated Vader and his emporer. Sure, vader pushed the emperor over the cliff - but those are details. Vader would have never done that without the influence of his son. Ergo, Luke wins!
  7. guys, guys, guys! - wow hk-47, jania solo, harrison ford? /sigh i am speechless.... totally thought there would be more Luke love out there...
  8. Hey I love Han Solo. Be he isn't a Jedi He does at least as much for the rebellion against the empire as Luke does. But this is a thread about how Luke is the best Jedi EVER! (Plus Han would NEVER be a Jedi - he doesn't even believe in the force)
  9. So in all my my thread reading, and I admit, I do a lot, i have not come across this subject once. I mean once! That is a thread saying that Luke Skywalker is the B E S T jedi EVER! So this game has motivated me to watch the trilogy again. The trilogy is pure poetry. Lucas didn't even know what he had! I hated the prilogy when it came out but i will accept it as cannon. As for all the other stuff concerning star wars - if it isn't one of the six movies, I don't count it. It is in the same realm as fan fiction to me. So, yeah, Luke is awesome. He gets like a month of training from Yoda about how to be a Jedi, is basically self taught, and still manages to all the awesome stuff he does! He could have killed the emperor in episode 6 if Vader would have allowed it. He most defiantly could have killed Vader multiple times if he chose to (but he couldn't because this would turn him to the dark side, and he knew it). In his final stand he throws down his weapon to prove to the emperor that he WILL NOT BE TURNED. Yeah, coolest fight scene in the whole series in the final fight between Vader and luke. Luke Skywalker is awesome! The best Jedi in the history of the star wars universe.
  10. lol thank you for bashing me . I don't consider this a moral dilemma, just a lack of enjoyment. Whereas the choices use to be meaningful to me, the restrictions on light/dark side and gear has made them meaningless and detracted from a unique feature to this game - meaningful choices. It is a good thing no one is moderate politically... where would the world be if we all compromised? *shudder* Sitting in the middle doesn't mean lack of decision...
  11. I was merely pointing out the lack of spec change was making me not to want to play the game (burnout on re-rolling so fast in such a short amount of time). Mostly the light/dark thing irks me because that was the catalyst for me re-rolling in the first place.
  12. I suppose i read your post wrong. sorry about that. I agree with what you said about being evil but not doing anything evil. I just want to be in the middle (sometimes evil, sometimes good) and still get the in game gear bonuses that i would if i went all light/all dark. After all am doing the same amount of work that everyone else is doing. I just picked non linear choices.
  13. oh i know how math works It is when you have 1000 light and 1000 dark with no progression in sight that you start to get bummed. *happened to me*
  14. Sith warriors first companion (vette) hates all dark side choices. Weird companion choice if you ask me. And Jedi Inquisitor's first companion hates light side choices...
  15. So in episode 1 we have qui-quon-jin cheating.... light or dark side? Then Obi-wan goes against the wishes of the council and trains Anakin... light or dark? Episode three Anakin kill those alien guys for killing his mother. Kills them all in cold blood. He is still a Jedi though.... light or dark. Episode 5 Yoda is just down right nasty to Luke. I know he is being wise and all that, but it is done so with swift judgments. I love yoda, don't get me wrong. I am just trying to prove a point. Episode 6 we find out that Obi-wan lied about Luke's father and tells them the force is viewed in "their own point of view" Quote: Many of the truths that we cling to depend on our point of view. So all of these things make me see the force as a spectrum. Obi wan was maybe more on "the light" side of the spectrum than Qui-quon but both were trained as Jedi and are after the Jedi order. Anakin himself was trained as a Jedi then used the dark side of the force to draw his power - then why can't a Sith lord, trained to use passion and emotions, tap into the light side of the force to draw his power? TL:DR The force is a spectrum. If Jedi can go evil (vader), then why can't sith go light or even just chill in the middle?
