  1. +1. That's really all they added. And if you check how they marketed it, they were totally honest. All they pushed was the fact that it has a story line and the whole thing is voiced.
  2. I'm a Sith. Of course I'm going to speak in absolutes.. Maybe there are just some people who never get bored of reskins of the exact same thing over and over, and if so that's fine. I like games for innovative gameplay though rather than rehashing of what I've already done time and time again.
  3. This is what I'm saying. And taking it a step further, is $15 per month and time worth waiting for a little more story-line? As I said before, if I wanted a really good story-line, I'd just read a book and stimulate my brain instead of staring at a screen for hours to get bits and pieces of a story.
  4. No, I don't know what 'more' is and never claimed to. I can say that I was expecting more without having a point by point list of what I wanted. I suppose by 'more' I meant something more unique. Forgive me for having such high expectations that I would actually expect a company to make their own game instead of copying what's already been done. Silly me.
  5. Actually, you've just proved that you don't know what trolling is. If I was a troll, I'd be seeking attention. Instead, I'm telling you to leave if you don't like the post, but you're voluntarily rambling on about things that have nothing to do with the discussion. And you didn't ask a question that warranted an answer.. It was rhetorical.
  6. I thought it was very stable for how young it is after launch. But I agree, leveling is a tiny part of MMOs. There's a monthly subscription fee. It's supposed to be a long time thing. Leveling is the very beginning of an MMO, and hitting 50 should be when you start to explore even more. Instead, the one unique thing in TOR (the story-line) ends at 50, and we're left with not much else.
  7. I know that it's not a waste, and I know they'll continue the story-line. But paying $15 per month for over a year to get settled in and just wait for another chunk of story-line? No thanks. And if they did nothing original beyond the story-line in the game at launch (which they spent years working on and millions of dollars), I don't foresee that changing in a content update.
  8. Perhaps you didn't read my post. I'll just quote myself and you can read that. "...(and I'm aware most of this existed in other MMOs before WoW was even around)..." "...A lot of TOR "fan boys" will surely accuse me of being a WoW 'fanboy,' but I quit WoW years ago and have become totally sick of it..."
  9. I have no idea. Until I land any sort of position where my opinion affects how a game is made (which will be never), my ideas are not relevant. Record labels sign crappy pop artists because they know they'll sell a million albums with something tried and true. Signing an actual artist is a risk. Same with MMOs. A game company almost always is going to take the safe route because they don't want to risk massive losses.
  10. Fair enough. I'm still glad I tried it, and like I said, I still think it's a solid game that a lot of people will enjoy. It's just not for me.
  11. If you think I'm trolling, then the proper response would be for you to leave instead of "feeding the troll." But I have no intention of eliciting any shocked reactions, I just posted this to see what people would say about it (knowing and accepting that 99% of it would be typical internet crowd comments).
  12. Yet you read it. If you truly think this post is so useless, then you shouldn't be wasted your time here.
