  1. Great idea Icesis. I think week nights would work better from the players' point of view, as you avoid conflicts with things like weddings. In regards to prizes, I think it would make sense for each team to pay an entry fee. I also like Mosus's idea of a 2nd and 3rd prize. Also, apologies to the viewers if the Grand Final was a bit anticlimactic. Especially the VS debacle, which we were all pretty embarrassed about. Having never played seriously together as a team before, we were very disorganised (something I suspect most teams experienced). Which is why it's great there is so such renewed enthusiasm for ranked - plenty of opportunity for practise! Jackysparrow PS Icesis, not sure if u remember but I used to PvP with u on my my PT Bronxx in lowbies
  2. Great idea, done. Hey thanks a lot Meds! We are definitely interested in ranked games in the future, will be in touch. Ditto. We're keen for as much practise as we can get. We'd be willing to help out with practise games. Noone in our guild really cares about rating so we'd be happy to sub in alts and new recruits to balance the teams.
  3. Love it! Kudos to Proxxii for making that his sig! Thanks again for all those who organised it - fantastic event! It really livened things up on the server and I'm pretty sure will encourage many more competitive ranked games in the future. Also, congrats to Midian - definately the best team that won. Jacky (I'll figure out a sig eventually)
  4. I actually have to apologise on this. Presh has told me he received more of a private inquiry from one of his mates in Add Coins. I was quite incensed by what was being said and was way too quick to jump on the situation. So apologies to Mosus and those involved. Also, Presh has told me the inquiry was made in confidence, which I didn't realise. So apologies to Presh and his mate.
  5. Hey Jump, thanks for the civil response and the congrats. As I have first-hand knowledge of exactly what happened, as well as the fact that Tinkle is now my guildie, I feel I kind of have the right to respond in his defense. If you really are just trolling, maybe just take a step back. My impression is that the comments have been a bit closer to bullying than trolling. Anyway, I've said my piece so I won't respond to any more posts. Otherwise it'll just keep going back and forth.
  6. Not sure if this is a trol or not, as we explained to you what happened. We lost First at the start of the match, the client black-screened and so he couldn't even get on the speeder (eventually timed out and was removed). We weren't sure what the protocol was so we kept playing but Resk (the game organiser in our team) instructed us to drop and reQ.
  7. Wow, the amount of venom being thrown around is really disappointing. Especially when its based on misinformation. I'd like to correct the record if I can: For starters, Not Entirely Stable had lost half our team, namely Ophium (bubble spec heals), Valar (Scoundrel heals) and Presh (Shadow tank/dps). Like I suspect most of the guilds participating have had to do, we asked as many people as we could to try to fill the spots. We couldnt find any healers and were literally on the verge of pulling out of the competition altogether when Thrash mentioned that Black Sun were pulling out: (Tinkle 11pm Thursday night) Unfortunately for Black Sun, every single player on their team was no longer able to make it, except Tinkle and Chieftain. After much convincing, Tinkle agreed to help us out. I still wanted to play dps on Elendil so we kept asking around for another healer (ie Celestiny and Nkbe, we couldnt get in touch with Deanh). Unfortunately we couldnt find one and so we picked up Chieftain to dps and I agreed to heal on Jackysparrow. Ok so this is where I get really confused: (Mosus at 3pm today) Thats some harsh stuff. And based on misinformation. Tinkle has informed everyone as early as he can (ie 2 days ago) that Black Sun have pulled out. He is only playing with one team, there was never any suggestion that he would be playing on two teams. In addition, Jump posted this at 10am today: Again, very harsh and just as unwarranted. Now, in regards to the guild merger (not that it is anyone else's business whatsoever). After Tinkle agreed to help us, I asked him and Ciraf if they were interested in a guild merger as obviously both guilds were short on numbers. They were both keen. Tinkle joined us straight away and Ciraf joined us on his alt. Ciraf said that before he joined on his main, he wanted to run it by the rest of the guild first. As far as I know both Ciraf and Chieftain are currently planning to join Not Entirely Stable in the near future. So in regards to comments like "cover it up with a merge back story" and "tell tinkle to stop covering his cowardice with bs lies", both Mosus and Jump are really out of line. The proposed guild merger is legitimate and as far as I know Tinkle hasnt even tried to use it as a reason to justify anything anyway. I really find these sort of comments of name-calling just plain petty and immature and it takes away from a great event that some people have generously put a lot of work into. In my opinion, Tinkle is owed an apology. Anyway, I hope everybody has fun and enjoys themselves. Jackysparrow PS thank you so much to Icesis and co for organising the event!
  8. I know right. I couldn't believe it when I read this. The imbalances for DPS Sorcs/Sages and Mandos/Mercs are ridiculous. Especially when compared to lolsmashers.
  9. PvP balance is horrendous at the moment, the two main offenders being lolsmashers and lolbubble sorc/sages. It's a bit of a joke that BW has taken this long to address such a severe imbalance that most knowledgeable people saw coming before 1.5 even hit.
  10. Hi, the title kind of says it all. I want to min/max my Rage Jugg as I gear him up with the best possible augments. I had assumed that Overkill augments (+18 Power) were our BiS because the extra damage we get from Power outweighs the extra crit we get from the Strength in Might augments (because so much of our damage comes from Smash which auto-crits). However I've seen some people claim in the forums that Might augments are better. Can anyone please verify?
  11. When you hover over the accuracy stat in the character window, it breaks it into "Basic Attacks" and "Special Attacks". Do "Basic Attacks" refer only to the following basic attacks:* - Flurry of Bolts/Rifle Shot (Smugglers/Agents) - Hammer Shot/Rapid Shots (Troopers/Bounty Hunters) - Strike, Zealous Strike, Sundering Strike/Assault, Battering Assault, Sundering Assault (Knights/Warriors) - Saber Strike (Consulars and Inquisitors) Or do "Basic Attacks" also include all melee and ranged attacks, ie those attacks that hit with white damage. Do "Special Attacks" refer to all attacks except those listed above, or only to tech and force attacks, ie those attacks that hit with yellow damage. Thanks in advance
  12. Trying to work out what combinations of WH relics are BiS for PvP Scoundrel healers. Here they are: War Hero Relic of Boundless Ages +41 Endurance +57 Expertise +113 Power War Hero Relic of Ephemeral Mending +41 Endurance +57 Expertise Equip: Healing an ally has a 50% chance to restore an additional 470 health over 3 seconds. This effect can only occur once every 20 seconds, and shares this limit with similar healing effects. From the description, it seems that 2x Ephemeral Mending is redundant, so the options are: 1. 2x Boundless Ages 2. 1x Boundless Ages, 1x Ephemeral Mending Can anyone show some maths to demonstrate which combination is stronger please? I'm fairly certain that Power grants 0.17 healing per point, so Boundless Ages would give 0.17 x 113 = 19.21 additional healing per heal. However I'm not sure how this applies to our HoTs. Is it 19.21 healing per tick of SRMP/KP and KC/RN or is it 19.21 healing over the full duration. Also from a math perspective, does EMP/SP get the full 19.21 healing, given it is instant cast? (I know that in other games, instant cast would sometimes get a fraction of +healing while casted spells got the full benefit) Thanks in advance. A simple "this one is better" would suffice but I'd also love to understand how the math works in swtor
