  1. I found it more efficient to take my first character through Onslaught as you say and then do the weekly for Veteran FPs using the random option. That's 5 FPs with a weekly reward and 5 times the GF rewards. Those crates you get from those also drop gear. Then instead of going on, send your best gear to your next level 75 alt and do the weekly on that alt with the same rewards. Then go to the next alt until you're out of alts.

The added rewards of the crates of the GF, the weekly and Renown as well as the eventual conquest reward (doing the weekly for FPs pretty much hits the conquest target) makes it go faster while rotating your best set of gear until you hit 306 gear. Then you don't have to send gear around anymore and you can put as many characters in that rotation as you can fit in a week.

But any new character at 75 should be given your best set of gear as to give you a better baseline. So if you have 306 gear, just give the next alt that 306 gear and do some FPs. Within a couple of FPs they'll have their own set of 306 gear already or close to it. That way it goes much faster.

What if you rarely if ever do flashpoints unless they are solo flashpoints. Can you still gear up if you don't do group content?

  2. I tend to agree, another cap raise so soon after the last seems perfunctory and will either mean another talent tree redesign or rebalancing of skills to account for the five extra points.

I hope if it does come to pass sooner than expected they tune the xp gain waaaaay down and provide a bit more levelling content than we got on Makeb, as 50-55 was so quick and easy it almost felt pointless.

It took me almost 2 months to level from 50 to 55 on one character. I have something called a life and do not sit on my butt all day to get to 55 the quickest. What you speak about are power levelers that race to end game and then come to the forums to whine and complain that there is nothing to do. From your post I gather you are in that particular category.

Fact is that the vast majority of gamers are not power levelers and are quite happy with the speed of progression as it is now and was with Makeb. Of course this is just my objective observation.

  3. I know a bit of a weird title. I will not be dropping my sub and jumping ship to ESO just yet. The lack of raids and the general clunkyness I feel with the combat imo is putting me off. If however, I feel any that their are any improvements I might reconsider but for now I am staying

So I just wanted to know who is planning to stick around for this game better or worse.

I was in the beta for ESO and quite frankly was not impressed even in the least. The character movement is so outdated, the combat is clunky and unimaginative and the story wasn't impressive at all. Crafting was just the same old boring thing every MMO lately has been cranking out. SWG was and is the only MMO that had an innovative crafting/harvesting system and no other company has even aspired to go that route.

Gamers want a challenge and something innovative yet all these new games come out with is the status quo which is the same old boring crap that every other MMO has done. It is no wonder they go stale within months and start losing subscribers. I don't see ESO becoming more then a niche game with a small group of loyal fans just like this game has.

  4. I understand man I really do if you cant handle it thats understandable the controls are just well the worst Ive ever seen.

However I have overcome them in a couple matches and made do. At first the combat seems so fast and crazy with the controls that youll never get the hang of it but, when you do you realize the whole battle is slow predictable and full of people making mistakes.

I hope you can come back and give it a chance and go through the right channels and get support rallied with the rest of us for proper controls.

    Sorry you dont like it!

I agree with the OP about the expansion, I still love the ground game though. They really should have invested more time and added in joystick control. I have a basic keyboard and mouse and it is impossible to play the expansion with that setup. The control scheme is a head scrambler for sure. Not sure why they have over complicated everything with GS.

I will probably play the expansion once they add in PvE content and improve upon the controls but as of right now the expansion is a NO GO for me as well.

  5. A fairly old pc will run it. But running it well due to the engine is an impssibility with random makeb lag and pvp and raids nearly impossible on monster pcs due to its horrible lack of efficiency when processing more than a few things at a time

I had to LOL at this. I custom built my pc and even before that I had a dell which ran the game with ZERO lag. I have never experienced lag in OPS or FP's or even back when open world pvp was on Illum. Yeah the engine is not the best one but it is hardly the worst one. Most people that experience bad lag have something in their system that is bottle necking somewhere or they have spyware or a virus on their system.

  6. My buddy built mine with my help but now I got no f****** clue what parts we used as he's the one who suggested them and he doesn't remember so all I know about my custom computer is it glows blue and can run just about anything with no problem. Sometimes I've had 2 mmos open at the same time although the speed goes way down if I do that. Although this comment probably has very little to do with this thread.

You ever hear of running DXDIAG? Try it.

  7. The military is a brotherhood, even more so when you get out

When u meet other vets we always have that thing to click or bond over

It's pride but more so it's a part if who you are

I may be a fireman now and maybe one be something else but I will always be an infantryman from the 101st

Hey I served in the 101st during the Persian Gulf War (first one back in 90). I was in the 1st Battalion 502nd Infantry. Nice to see a fellow Screaming Eagle.

  8. In the gaming community? We are a minority when it comes to this game, but what you said about it being the gamig community is nothing more than a baseless statement.

Not really, I should have said MMO gaming community and it would have been true. I have played nearly every MMO that has ever been released and PvP players are always in the minority.

  9. Been like that in all pvp for a good while

Yep if your a commando like me you are NOT wanted in PvP as we are completely useless. Who would think a heavy weapons/heavy armor class would be more squishy then a robe wearing class. I only PvE with my commando. Heck I don't even PvP anymore. It is nothing but a bunch of people stroking their egos anyways.

  10. I just became a member just now!!!!!!!!!!!!:p:);) So what do i get and what new stuff can i do? Also do i get to go to lvl 55 now? Is the DLc like hutt cartel come with a membership or no????????????

Instead of my fellow posters being rude to you they could have just simply answered your questions.

First off congrats on becoming a subscriber..

Now for your questions, as a subscriber you have unlimited access to all Warzones, Arenas and you no longer have a cap on medical probes as they are free. You are no longer facing mail restrictions, chat restrictions or any other restriction you had as a free to play account. Without Rise of the Hutt Cartel you cannot progress to level 55 (however it is becoming free to all subscribers very soon if not already so you do not have to worry about that).

Good luck to you and most of all have fun.

  11. I got this last "expansion" for 10 bucks

That wasn't a full fledged expansion, it is what is normally called and adventure pack which only adds a small amount of content to the game. Look at EQ2 as they do the same thing. They have both full expansions and adventure pack type expansions. The adventure type ones typically run around $10.00 also.
