  1. In that case I apologize and shall direct my bile towards the appropriate target.
  2. Attemped to deactivate AVG still no luck on that end, so the game is fubar for myself and several others, and as somebody mentioned, some of us are paying subscribers and we're paying for a service that is currently not functioning. What kind of compensation can we expect for the lost time? Because now it's been days. Edit: attempted one last time and magically it works, so at least I can play again, I am still however very dissatisfied with this turn of events. Considering AVG is a fairly popular anti-virus program how did this latest patch completely break things? where was the quality testing?
  3. Fun fact, I did those already. So you can forget the condescending attitude and me needing hand holding. I have also attempted reinstalling the game. If it's important, the game becomes completely unresponsive once it hits the loading screen, I have to use task manager to actually close it. Also, Customer support outside of the game is actually terrible. There is no clear path to any sort of support outside of the game, just a link saying "go to EA!" which when you go to, just tells you to either use in-game support, or phone them, and I refuse to pay out more than I already have and do on this game for a service that should be free. Also, also, there's no E-mail before you bring that up. And Yes, I am angry about this state of affairs. I the fact that a new patch has issues isn't what bothers me. It's the state of out of game customer support that bothers me.
  4. Honestly, bioware stopped giving a damn a long time ago. I also have to agree with the whole rage against the omni-story if that's what we're calling it now since it completely throws out every other hero character from the other story lines. Whereas the original game all the heroes were doing their own thing perhaps around the same time, here they're just magically gone. "where's the commander of havoc squad?" they're just gone "where's the empire's Wrath?" they're just gone Any hero character you're currently not playing just vanishes from the galaxy, as if they know how terrible the writing is.
  5. Exactly as the title says, the game won't load up. It just freezes on the loading screen and won't do anything. Since there is no actual way to contact any technical support for assistance in attempting to fix this, I figure I'll just ***** here about it and shoddy customer service in general.
  6. You are aware that I did argue for increased rewards for those with level sync active correct? I do agree with the idea that those whom go for the additional challenge should get a reward beyond those that don't but that doesn't change the fact that the crates are a neccessity to progression, removing them from non synced players just defeats progression entirely and enforces a certain mode of play. I have also said that I am of two minds about the level syncing as it does enable the enjoyment of older content with a suitable challenge, but if this is what they are going to do then why not allow players to reset their storylines for their epic'd out characters so they can replay for the sheer enjoyment without having to go through the trouble of leveling all over again. Give it some purpose other than some false balancing act.
  7. I can solo them easily myself on all my end game characters. It doesn't change the fact that it's a daily grind and if WoW has taught anything, an enforced daily grind just gets boring and annoying, it creates resentment and is just fake padding. Do I want to get them without effort? sure if that's an option, do I want to put effort in and be rewarded for it? Definitely, but as things are it feels like a cheap way to force long time players to go back and do the grind on planets we may have seen many times over already. For myself, I will create and level a character, just to experience the story over again if I particularly enjoyed it, then delete it because it isn't one of my main characters. Your response just makes you sound like an elitist tool whom has not thought through the effects this may have on long time players and the game, I and others have put the effort into the game, we have hit 65, perhaps several times, many of us have invested money into the game and not to boast, but I am a pre-purchaser delux edition owner whom was subbed for some time and still subs occasionally when I have the disposable income. I don't pay for the privilage to perform near mandatory chores in a game. I pay to show my appreciation and enjoyment of the game. The main problem I have with the system is that it's forced and it drags out encounters that could be done quickly and efficiently so you can get on with doing things that are enjoyable. Some people may well enjoy the grind, Some days I do, some I don't but irregardless of that I don't enjoy playing content over time after time that I have already done so when there's no story behind it. To use the WoW example again, I rather like the area story progression it uses as it shows "yes your efforts are actually affecting things" It's a disguised grind perhaps, but at least it furthers a story. Here I see very little tangible reward for my efforts. Credits are easily farmed, as are data crystals at a push. In essence, I suppose that I just find this backward grind to feel very lazy, so why should I put the effort in?
  8. kind of defeats the purpose of bringing down the daily grind honestly since the crates are the only reason to run them at end-game. I'm personally against enforcing any form of playstyle like this on players just to fulfill some apparent need for fairness. It's not particularly fair to end gamers to be forced to run these heroics daily at a gimped level which can take a while, especially for multiple characters. Perhaps have an increased reward for level-shifted players, sure I have no problem with that, but to remove the basic purpose of doing them full stop is just plain stupid.
  9. To add my views on this, I think have it optional once you A) hit level 50 and B) complete the base storyline for a character. In other words, make it a legacy thing. I have conflicting feelings on the whole things since on one hand, I do enjoy being able to play content at all levels and have it be challenging and rewarding. However on the con side, when I'm 65 and just want to get my daily grind done for x number of characters, I just want to breeze through them
