  2. Ive noticed the same thing in the SandV operation. I have no issues healing in the same BIS gear that I had before the expansion. Thats the whole reason I made this thread actually lol
  3. I dont know man maybe your right I just dont see it :/ Ive looked over all the avaiable gear and it seems like it will be like before. Buying the same item piece multiple times so I can pull only the mod out to put other pieces to get the optimal stats. Im not so much being obtuse its just the way the gear looks stat wise it just doesnt make sense to me what bioware did. But when does it ever make sense I guess lol
  4. So crits dont happen all the time and surge is pretty much dependent on crit right? So your telling me I should bank on more crits happening over the amount of 33 seconds to make up for the the lack of power which is the base strength of my heals? I would say maybe alacrity is just not for every class? Because I have been healing as an operative since the begining of the game and even with an additional 33 seconds over 5 mins losing hundreds of points in power to gain endurance and alacrity just doesnt make sense to me. I think Ill just be picky with my mods and enhancements, get my crit back up to where it should be without sacraficing power for alacrity.
  5. LOL if you can really notice a difference between 1.5 seconds and 1.35 seconds Ill give you a *********** cookie. Untill I see some concrete math I will just say this is another attempt at bioware doing stupid **** and calling it gear upgrades.
  6. OK me and you are on the total same page brother!! I just dont see the point of alacrity at all!! Surgical probe is instant, RN is instant, Kolto Probe is Instant. Infusion and Injection are the only casted heals that we use and the time it takes to cast them has never been something I cant deal with. To drop from 1.9 seconds on an injection cast to 1.5 seconds at the cost of a **** ton of power is not worth it IMO. If 2.0 gave us anything its just another HOT that comes with Infusion other then that I dont feel I should change my stats. Someone please correct me if Im wrong?
  7. ^^^ Do you really notice the energy regen difference from the alacrity? The only long cast time heal is Kolto Injection? They made so many of our heals based on instant cast HOTS now I just dont see the point of the alacrity boost? What gear are you buying to get the proper stats?
  8. Not sure if this has been posted yet but I would like to ask whats the best stats now for PVE healing gear in 2.0? Pre 2.0 it was all about POWER and now that im level 55 and looking at all the new gear something isnt adding up for me? It all has higher endurance, more crit, more alacrity and HUGE drops in power for just about every piece.Can someone who was on the PTS that has done some healing in the new raid give some advice? Is alacrity really that worth it now? Is it needed now to really start stacking more crit? Should I stay main stat heavy instead? Is that much endurance really needed. I just have a ton of questions and before I go spending coms and dropping my primo power and cunning stats I need some info?   9. So Im a fully geared PVE operative healer who has cleared 4/4 Denova HM many many times. Even after the buff on RN I still NEVER EVER use it. I find I can heal bigger and faster with KI, KP, SP and Cleanse then wasting energy on a AOE heal that only heals 4 people, they have to be in a certain range and in all honesty it just doesnt heal that much over time compared to the energy cost. Now one of my guild mates who I have a ton of respect for has a Operative who I have helped turn into a great healer. Well we had a big debate the other day to the actual effectivness of RN where he swears by it and I swear its a waste of energy. Ive searched the net trying to find the math on weather or not its actually Energy Efficient / Healing effectiveness. So I wanted to make a post to get some input from some other PVE Operatives about this subject. Please this is not directed to PVP in ANY WAY so please do not post about its effectiveness in pvp cause I just dont care. If this topic has already been discussed I apologize I just have not read much info about it since the change in 1.2. I appreciate any feedback PVE healers might have on this subject.

  11. Anyone that played SWG knows what real WORLD PVP is like!! YOu could build your own cities and guild basses. Rebs would come to try and destroy them and you would have to defend them. You could Flag or Un-flag and get into awesome battles over control of Anchorhead and such. Instanced PVP is what kills it cause its the same thing everytime and not even being able to choose which battleground you want to play is just plain dumb. No diminishing returns is ridiculous, getting stunned over and over and over again in Huttbal is extremely frustrating and just makes it not fun! That needs to be fixed. To be honest I bought this game in hopes it would be something close to SWG with its Flexabilty to actually defend the Empire from Rebs. Well theres none of that, its no where close to SWG who are we defending the galaxy from a bunch of rebs on Illum tryig to level valor faster? SWG was hard, leveling was hard most of it you had to do solo grouping wasnt normally a viable option. SWTOR was easy mode leveling no challenge at all, it reminded me a lof Dragon Age where all you have to do is hit map and the game tells you where to go. Remember in Vanilla wow you would have to either A) ask someone where to go or B) look it up online from a guide. I dont think its so much that people power leveled to 50 I think it was just that easy to get there. PVE I think is fine do they need to fix boss bugs and glitches YES (Invisible lighting balls in EV hard mode is dumb, also in that fight I can get tossed in the air and then when it decides to drop me I land on a lighting ball that explodes and kills me? *** is that ****? Or Im being pulled to a mind trap just to be pulled through a lighting ball that explodes and kills me?) If that is per say the way the fight was intended to be then thats dumb doesnt rely on mechanics and only relies on luck. Gear there is literally a couple points difference between Columi and Rakata *** is that **** you work hard for 1.3 gear to get 20 more hit points? I know they say they plan on fixing that but when? Nightmare mode theres no difference in gear drops between hard mode ops and nightmare? Whats the point of even playing nightmare then? Tier gear needs to be re-evalutated to be based off the difficulty of the FP. Graphics, the engine is crap! why you would use a 5 year old engine for a new game is beyond me. Im sorry if they would have speant half their money on better engine rather then paying celebrity voice overs this would not be an issue. Since the engine is so terrible world pvp isnt even an option the game it self couldnt even really handle it which is quite disappointing. I bought a brand new computer speant almost 1000 bucks just so I could play this game on peak settings just to find out the game hardly even supports multiple core processors? What kind of ******* programed this game I mean *** people from 2006??? Its 2012 and they couldnt progam this game to the standards of our current times in electronics. Storyline, its amazing well thought out its fun and engaging. Is there a bit to much dialouge sometimes? probably? but all and all I loved the story line for my class and most of the optional quests. Going forward will I stop playing the game? HELL NO!! Vanilla wow had tons of issues that took years to fix in some cases. Someone said in one of their other posts that because wow was so good all other MMO's are held to that standard which is true and theres nothing that can be done about that. I am how ever disapointed at the Dev's and CS's responses to our claims. I dont think its a good thing at all that they dont talk to the community cause that just makes me feel they dont care. All and All I love the game I will continue playing, I will be patient and sympathetic to the fact the game is new. Theres tons of stuff that needs fixing and they cant do it all in one patch. But for god sakes DEVS let us know your even there, its feels like we are just talking to the wall. Anyway thanks for readin my rant again I love the game, my points of view above are just my opinions and probably will differ from many of you. Just take into consideration there are MAJOR issues with this game that need to be addressed. Thanks

If someone has 2k of health no smart ops healer will use a kolto probe, they would use a surgical probe which is a energy free cast (Is spammable If under 30% and re-grants TA) that can be spammed over and over until that target can be healed with a Kolto Injection. People say Ops dont have an OH **** button well we do its called surgical probe which is free and instant. Now that my stats are fixed (Crit/Surge/Power/Alacrity) My FREE Energy sugical probes crit for 3k and up. I have had tons of times where the tank is taking tons of spike dammage where if you tried to do a 1.5 second cast its a wipe. I just spam Surgical probe over and over until we get to a point where a 1.5 second cast can be done. I have had my sorc healer thank me numerous times for my surgical probe. For saving the day in the raid where he could not cause his bubble is on cool down. (IE second boss in Karraga hard mode which is the most healing intensive fight I have ever done and pretty much takes 3 healers) If you get groups that understand their roles then Sorcs and Ops healers can work together using both of their stregths at the right times. Dont get me a wrong a 4k dammage midigation Bubble is VERY important!! But so is a 3k surgical probe crit on a tank being spiked where a 1.5k cast wont work and the sorcs bubble is on cool down. They made the classes different for a reason to give the player choices and to make it so the healers can combine their strengths. This thread just pisses me off because of the title of it. What if a new player is going to role a healer and reads this thread? None of you ****s should be turning NEW players off to any class that they might want to play. What gives you all the *********** right to say "Well your just wasting your time playing any other healer then a sorc!" You people dont do things to help build the desire to play this game by pigeon holeing healers only into Sorcs only. What if evaryone took your advice and everyone only rolled sorcs? How *********** boring would that be? Personally they should just delete this post cause most of you are just haters of anything that doesnt have a bubble. The only thing that needs to be fixed for ops is our AOE heal needs to cost less energy and needs more potency thats it! Cause in its current state its kind of pointless.

  14. Im tired of you... you are a fool and your claims are false. You re-rolled sorc cause your a terrible player and you wanted an easy mood healing mechanic admit it. I re-modded all my ops healing gear last night and now Im doing crit heals on Kolto Injection for 6-7k if thats not enough output on healing then the dps and tank need better gear and more hit points!!
  15. From one fellow Ops healer to another dont let these fools ever tell us we arent viable!!! Also you are right bud cause Ive dpsed hard modes with a Sorc healer where the Tank and DPS suck and they have just as many issues as an Op healer as far as keeping the group up.
