^^ This. I couldn't *not* equip him with Torchy, he was just so happy!! So he's been using it ever since we got it back. But I secretly miss the way he looked with the rifle. I found a few moddable orange rifles in my travels and stuck them in cargo... just in case I give in. Also, the blaster doesn't look quite so good with the white heavy armor. I actually put his armory-armor into cargo, and gave him more medium looking armor. I like how Torchy looks much better that way. Still, I miss the heavy armor-big gun look. A funny: Last night I got the convo about (very minor spoiler) . And then, in just the next quest as I'm snapping screenshots with Fraps, my computer lags. And what do I capture? A picture with my girl bending over to fix something, and Corso standing behind her very definitely enjoying watching her back.

You can also re-keybind the companions talents to easily useable keys instead of the c+f1, etc. There's a couple of skills that are usually kept off (AoE, high threat, etc) so that they don't use them regularly and get you in trouble. But those skills can be very helpful in a pinch. (added: I'm gunslinger/sharpshooter, and I love it. But I've heard from those who don't like to stay in cover that the other two trees are more mobile. And you can respec, you just can't change your AC)

lmao! I just started a sawbones with these exact intentions. I'm also trying out the jedi knight, since I hear they have a good story and am intrigued with what I hear/see about Doc. I'd really like to pick a class from the dark side of things, but nothing has really clicked yet. (Also, I did flashpoints/heroics all night tonight and didn't get in any Corso time! Withdrawals!!)

Now see, I would picture him more as a Bo or Luke. He's just a good ol' boy, never meaning no harm I seem to like the rather divisive Bioware characters, Alistair & Anders being the top two. They both have very vocal lovers & haters. And after DA2, Anders probably has more hate than love. I try to stay away from those debates. I also liked Kaiden, I think he gets a bad rap. And Sten too... although I wouldn't want to romance him. Actually, I loved pretty much all the DA:O characters. I can't really speak to many of the other romances in swtor -- I started out with Corso and haven't been able to play another class long enough to get to a romance point. I miss having the farmboy around, he brings a smile to my face as I'm playing. I keep hearing good things about Quinn, so maybe I'll try and level up on the Sith side inbetween all my smugglers.

Aldaaran has been my favorite world so far, it's so pretty! Maybe he can be talked into switching locations And dammit, I hate having to work when I want to go run around space with Corso! I know I'm getting close to the final quests! Also, I constantly use esc to see the other responses but not actually use them. Sometimes I use fraps & video the jealous response, then esc & do the good one

lmao - Add me to the dork club! I found myself talking to him last night as I was starting a mission, "Hey Corso, time to storm the prison. You & me against the army!" And then I go a few steps into the building and he says something like, "Nothing I like more than an Imperial prison break." I near about fell off my chair in happiness Biggest dork moment: Once I got on board the ship, and all of a sudden Corso had a quest marker over his head. He'd never told me he wanted to talk!! So I had to actually *leave* the ship, and walk around a little just so I could hear him say he wanted to talk to me... in private. THEN I could go back into the ship, turn Fraps on, and esc out of the conversation a million times to hear all the responses

I agree with this too!! The way his voice lowers when he says it... gunh! Sometimes before I sign off, I'll click on him until he says it, just for the last thing of the night

Oh no! Now I'm wondering what happens with him, and if its more than I already know. I really like & have fun with Darmas. Corso gets so cute when I'm talking to him. Not that I've given him a real reason to be jealous on my gunslinger -- I was too afraid to take a lot of the flirt options with Darmas originally, not knowing if it would affect the Corso romance. My scoundrel might be more of, well, a scoundrel.

I agree with all of these points! Very good. Especially #5. If you do too much of this last one, there's a chance she might enjoy playing... but not playing with you. We had several girls in my last guild who ended up there because they were tired of being told what to do and how to do it by the person that introduced them to the game.

There's some good advice here -- but it really depends on the person. You have to know what aspect will draw her in. Some really get into creating how the character looks, or creating a rp story about their character. Some girls actually love killing things (it's a great change of pace from having to take care of everyone all the time and be nice). Some are very social and then vent/chat would be nice. On the other hand, a lot don't enjoy being thrown into a "room" full of people. That would really depend on if she's more outgoing or more shy. I really disliked getting talked over, so hardly ever join vent/mumble/etc. (With the exception of a WoW guild I was in... but that was all girls) And if you do get her playing, remember playing is more fun than watching, and no one likes to feel stupid so don't make a huge deal over mistakes or take over because she's not doing something right. I had the opposite problem myself -- my ex would never game and made fun of all my sci-fi TV shows. We would either watch his tv shows, or he'd do something else while I watched mine (inserting jokes about either sci-fi or the show everytime he walked by). In an effort to bring him into sci-fi, I once read the entire book of Ender's Game aloud to him on a cross-country road trip. He loved the story (I picked it because I knew he would be able to relate to the character), but he never picked up a book on his own or got into the genre. Some people just never enjoy sci-fi/games. I can't really blame him. I never found his interests... well, interesting. As an aside, I got into gaming myself. My sisters & I spent countless hours playing on the old NES system back in the day and were proud of our thumb callouses!

How about if you close that box out to think about a good name, and it pops up later while you're in the midst of typing? You don't see it since the the UI freezes up, and when you come back there's a random word entered permanently as your legacy name? Or if you've made a simple typo and since you didn't get screen showing what your name would look like, you now have a typo'd name for ever? Or what if you thought you could delete all the characters and start over with a new one, and choose a new name? Nope. Once a name is chosen it's chosen for that server forever. The only place I've read about *that* little tidbit is here on the forums. I don't think you should be able to change your name whenever you want, on a whim. But I do think they've gone about the system badly. If you don't choose one immediately the screen pops up constantly. There's no confirmation window (or at least, some people are not getting one). And it's not explained just how very lasting this name is. It's a server name, really. I love the game, but it's absolutely ridiculous that they won't or cannot change a legacy name that occurred due to bugs, mistakes or typos!

I'm not quite there yet, as things keep interrupting my game play! But during an earlier scene on Balmora, he had me smiling like a goof. I think someone mentioned it before, but it's a reply he makes after someone hits on your character. I really love his responses, they're just so cute. And funny. And cute. :rolleyes:

I was wondering it changes at all too, but I'll probably never get around to finding out, except maybe through youtube videos. It does get better once she's an official member of the crew, I'm actually starting to like her. A little bit. Sometimes. Eventually my fem!smuggler and Risha reached an understanding, but I am sure glad you don't get +/- points for those conversations that happen before she officially joins! On another note, I didn't get a lot of play time over the weekend, and didn't advance my story at all. Corso withdrawals!! Good thing I videoed some of the conversations, so I can take the edge off

I actually took a lot of time to ponder my name, and had not entered it yet due to the fact I wanted to pick the right one. Since their pop up screen makes its own decision on when it'll pop up, it opened itself up when I was in the "who" screen. My UI froze up, and the next thing I know I have a random name entered as my legacy name. There was no "are you sure" box, no warning -- I didn't even see the legacy name window, since it happened with I was resetting the UI ! But too bad, I can change servers and start all over if I don't like it.

If you did this, wouldn't you lose all the special items from your pre-order?

Not only not replied here, but they've started either deleting or completely ignoring my CS requests. My legacy name was entered through a fault with their own buggy UI, but will they even help with that? Nope. So a warning to all -- if you're closing out the legacy pop-up screen to give yourself time to think of exactly the name you want, be careful! If the UI flakes out, you can end up with a legacy name of whatever you were typing when it did so.

^^ LOL. This is exactly what I was thinking of. The mustache and white shirt and tight pants. Corso doesn't have any of his smarmy-ness.

Not really a tip or a trick, but a warning about Legacy names -- If you aren't ready to create your legacy name so you're closing down the pop-up box when it appears, be very careful!! If for any reason you get a UI/mouse problem, it's possible to type into the legacy box without knowing it and when you hit "ctrl u" twice to fix the UI, whatever you typed could become your legacy name!! Even if you delete all your characters from the server, if you create a new character it will still have whatever you typed in. And, they won't fix it unless it happens to be something that breaks the terms of service.

They responded to me with an auto form-letter type response. Basically saying, sorry, you're out of luck. There's no changing of names no matter what the reason and we can't say when or if you'll ever be able to change it. So even though it was their buggy program that gave me this legacy name, they won't change it. And deleting all the characters from the server won't help either. Either I hide it unto eternity, or I leave the server for a new one. :/

There should at least be a button to confirm your legacy name choice. I've been closing out of the screen for a week while deciding on a legacy name. I wanted to take my time, since I knew it couldn't be changed. Then today, as I was adding a friend on to my friends list, the screen popped up and mouse went buggy and as I tried to escape and cntrl u, the *friends* name was put into my legacy! I'm completely disheartened.

I loved it three! I really really wish we could have save points, so I could go back and play the best lines over again. I try to grab a video with fraps, but I always forget because I'll be too involved Guess I'll just have to scrap these other alt ideas, and roll smuggler again

Actually, no... he gives you *two* guns, the sweet boy! Flashy is the first, and Sparkles is later on in the story. He's so very quirky about his weapons, but it just makes him cuter. @phyreblade - The BH relationship sounds just about right! I may give that one a go next.
