[Trooper pvp leveling]

I am doing the same and started a few days ago. Only level 14 but I've tried Combat Medic and Gunnery and definitely prefer Gunnery. You can heal pretty well as even at my low level I was able to pop off a few 175k healing warzones. I just didn't enjoy it much.

 

I'm probably going to go straight Gunnery till 50 and then tinker with the build.

I was hoping to be sort of a affliction warlock with my balance build sage but the DoT damage just isn't very good. Unfortunately, spamming telekinetic throw while throwing out DoTs here and there is the best bet for damage in this spec I've found.

That isn't a bug. It's an advantage of holding a turret node.

 

I did however hop on to a speeder last night and proceeded to fly around in circles the entire warzone without landing. I couldn't join the fight, but I had a really neat view of the warzone the whole time.

Everyone hates on the Sage for wearing his Space Pope hat and bathrobe to intergalactic battle, but you have to admire the sheer manliness that it takes to strut out into a warzone filled with lightsabers and blastered armed and armored with a toga on your chest, a peacock on your head, and an endless supply of rocks.

 

When you die to a Sage in PvP, I want you to look real hard at the man who killed you. That man is naked under there. He just stepped out of the shower and that ridiculous thing on his head is only there to keep his hair straight as it dries while he kills you over and over with his magical Goku powers. He didn't even bother getting dressed for this fight. You are nothing compared to him. He couldn't care less about this fight. He's going to crush your mind with visions of his pantsless thighs, throw some giant rocks or droid parts into your face, then go get a wax job from some droids on the Pleasure Level.

 

Sage is a real man's class. Don't hate.

I'm not sure that fixes anything. Clicking on the warzone symbol on the mini-map is the ONLY way I queue. Not to mention I always uncheck the requeue option after each warzone(since I almost always run with premades).

Some classes like Jedi Knights are late bloomers, but at 50 you can top the charts with any AC.

PvE is about twice as fast for me, but you can level decently in PvP. If you try to level through PvP exclusively though, you are probably going to get burnt out unless you REALLY love warzones.

I think the mission is bugged. I've completed it both times I've tried it(barely), but as stated already the ship you are escorting magically loses 80% of it's health once you clear the asteroid field.

Agreed. If it HAS to provide character gear, how about on-level stuff? I know it's partially my fault for not reading the item level of the box, but what good is a level 50 boots going to do for my level 28 Consular?

 

/Maybe I just missed the lower level boxes. Still, I want to spend fleet commendations on STARSHIP items.

I'm on Twin Spears as well, Republic side. I think things will be a bit better in a couple months when most people are at or near 50. I'm not going got lie though...right now it's hard to not get frustrated.

I read somewhere on here that a full PvP set only gives you a ~10-12% increase in damage/reduction in damage taken. That's not exactly enough to make a PvE exclusive player all of the sudden "good" in PvP.

Is that the infiltration spec? You don't seem to be doing as much burst DPS as I thought a level 50 shadow would. I know that my 13 Shadow crits for about 2.5k with Shadow Strike.
