A LFG tool is needed and desperately before the community dies off. Doing group quests or flashpoints or wold bosses at the moment is a chore of flagging yourself and endlessly spamming channels or whispering people until you have a complete group. Even if you got a list of just the people who were looking for the same quests/flashpoints as you that would be easier, although personally I would like an auto match system. Before someone slates me saying LFG tools kill communities. They don't. I have never seen any evidence of this. I had in the past enjoyed playing with people so much that I gave them my realID so we chat across servers. What killed the communication in dungeons in WoW was being able to endlessly faceroll through 5 mans without any sort of co-ordination. Yes people may act like idiots and think there are no repercussions but people are just as likely to do this when you randomly pick them up from general. That's why games have /ignore!

Anyone want a side of 'I WIN!!1!!1!' button with their troll? Why would anyone want to experience all the content gradually gearing up their characters and skilling up with their friends? In fact why bother leveling at all! Why don't we all just pay our sub, log in and get an instant level 50 character with full epics and a massive I Win button so we can all solo the hardest content in the game. In fact why bother with the game at all. How about Bioware just emails you a certificate saying you are the greatest player in SWTOR and you don't even have to bother logging in!

I've yet to see a convincing argument against damage meters tbh. The closest is that elitests will use them to run their epeens all over everyone else- those sorts of people will find some spurious excuse to do exactly that. "Hey look at my epic gear I ninja looted from being carried through an instance" "Ohh yeah I've killed <insert end game content>, no it was on my OTHER character. No I can't give you the character name it's on a different server. No I can't give you the server name because I'm too awesome and you might stalk me...." "Well I only play PVP and I do great at that!" Contrary to popular belief the absence of addons will not magically remove idiots from inside a game, you'll just have to rub along and ignore them as best you can. However damage meters do provide a good tool in identifying those idiots before they wipe you 8 times. To that person who says: "My epeen is so big I can darken whole continents in the shadow of it's epic dps!!!1111!!11oneone!" you reply "Then why does my meter say you're doing less dps than the healer?" Apart from that they do actually give you a quick easy tool to see how your gear/spec/etc is working for you. Hey if you don't want to use it fine and dandy by me- but why deny it to other players? Just because someone might think their body odor is so fabulous that they never need to wash again doesn't mean they should go on some sort of holy crusade to ban soap from supermarkets....

People are going to be level 50 by the time I log in? Excellent. One less person to be competing for the same quest item spawn, mob spawn etc etc For anyone who remembers WoW TBC launch you realize why BioWare are doing a staggered launch. If everyone piled in to the same areas at the same time it would be literally unplayable- server queues, lag, server crashes etc. Do I care that someone else made it to 50 before me? Nope. Will it make them a better player than me? Nope. Just a hint guys. It's a video game: not a race. Enjoy the journey and stop worrying that someone might get to the finish before you.
