  1. I run as an op healer and here is the build I use: 31/3/7 I skipped the diagnostic scan points because I can keep enough TA going to where I don't have to use kolto injection that often and dont need the energy regen. I use debilitate whenever I can, and the 30% run speed increase is often enough to get me away from a burster.
  2. Started with The Swiftsure and enjoying it. Ive seen pops decrease, but according to Torstatus and the server status on SWTOR, we have the second largest US pvp population. Compared to other servers, faction balance is pretty good, in fact I've played more huttball against pubs than imps in the past week. Most lvl 50 players are competent, and we have some pretty good pvp guilds. Plus the pvp community is actually pretty courteous for a pvp crowd, lots of grace offered to recruits and most people are willing to strategize before a match. Still takes around 5-10 minutes to pop warzones during non prime time (I play 2-4 AM EST) and I hope it will be one of the free transfer servers, but currently population is stable enough for me to have a full MMO experience.
  3. I did the quest at around 33-34 I think, I had just gotten Surgical Probe which helped a lot. Kaliyo died on my first run, had no idea what to do (used cloak screen to pop out of the fight). As everyone has said, interrupts are key, but what I figured out helped a lot was the fact that I had Kaliyo geared pretty well. All I did was heal Kaliyo and myself the whole fight. I used debilitate when I could (to interrupt and then stab) but there were a couple of times when he pulled off his spell. Fortunately Kaliyo was able to survive and I could heal her up, but it took forever. What I did notice, is that if you jump over the rail from the right to go up to the platform instead of walking up the stairs, the bug wont always happen. The first fight is the worst, once you figure it out you just need to make sure that you make as few mistakes as possible. It does make sense that the battle with an immensely powerful Sith lord who was able to deceive the whole empire should be difficult to take on, but I agree that this is a very challenging fight primarily because of the bug. It is possible, and everyone gets through it eventually.
  4. Quick overview, I play my Op healer on The Swiftsure and mainly PvP. Almost have full battlemaster, so I don't have the most warzones under my belt, but I've had enough success and I know the mechanics of the class well enough to be of help. I personally thought the same thing about RN, until I started using it a lot. My issue was that I treated it as my best healing skill (since it was on a cooldown and cost the most energy) so I only used it in low health situations where it obviously did not do much. I find it very useful, especially with the 15% crit boost from the PvP set, in countering aoe damage and giving people the edge in a 1v1 fight when I hit a group of 3 people or more. It allows you to still focus the tank and yourself, and since the rest of your team is usually not being bursted, the 1k-2k heals they get is usually sufficient and helps keep them from being targets because of lower health. I try to keep 2 sets of KP's on myself and the tank, I usually have a couple more floating around. If I have full energy and am not being bursted, I use KI and add more KPs. I try to save my TA's for when I start getting targeted and need to run around. Don't be afraid to dps if you realize that your healing is being unproductive, often times more dps to take down the enemy is more important than topping everyone off. Here is my build for pvp (31/3/7) I have a couple of controversial points spent, so I will explain them in detail. I decided to not spec into diagnostic scan, because with stim boost up, and energy free heals from SP, I rarely have energy issues, just need to be careful with spamming KI. When I do drop, adrenaline probe is usually up so Its only a slight annoyance. The two points in sedatives are actually very useful in pvp, especially since people rarely notice the debuff. When defending nodes or attacking, I try to always start off with a sleep dart, and since people will try to make up for the lost time, they often blow their best skills before they notice their drop in dps. If you can stop 50% dps of a target in the 1st ten seconds, that's a lot of healing that was saved with little effort on your part. I specced into med shield, because I almost always pop shield probe when I notice I am being bursted, which I then promptly begin healing myself. 15% boost for 15 seconds combined with shield probe will often bring you back up to full health quickly while discouraging the burster from focusing you. The two points into slip away doesn't seem like much on paper, but on the field it is a tremendous help. When used correctly, debilitate can be a great defensive tool. The four seconds let you pop off two KIs, or the 30% boost lets you escape and/or rush to your next target (especially useful for Voidstar). Being used to the 45 sec cooldown, I couldn't believe how fast it was up, and it has saved me multiple times (curse you sentinels/marauders and your bottomless reservoir of interrupts), and as an Op, you need all the survivability you can get. Hope this was helpful, good luck with your Healing op.
  5. Right now there seems to be other things that Bioware needs to focus on (like ranked wzs and end game content), but you have some very good suggestions. In fact Bioware has already talked about including pazaak, and I remember the devs saying that they might make colour crystals work with mounts (different lighting) so some of these are spot on. While space combat is a fun minigame from time to time, SWTOR needs something more, and swoop racing would hit the spot. Right now there are no community building mini games and this would do just that. I have been dying to customize my ship, and they could make some cool editions, like choosing a different ship droid or have your choice of star wars music playing in the background when you get on (I want to hear this sith opera that everyone talking about in game). I have never though about hangar signs, but that makes total sense, would make spaceports more convenient to get around and they have all of the material in game already. I would suggest this in the weekly developers q&a.
  6. Perks sound pretty cool, hope it makes PvP viable for leveling.
  7. I'm not even sure if there is one on Corellia, I'm going off of what I see in the forums. However, I am guessing from torhead, that this cap would be on Corellia, since thats also where the matching chest-piece is. I assume that it would be a random world drop. Rigorcord Helmet Rigorcord Cuirass
  8. There are a couple available, unfortunately a lot of the cool ones are unmoddable, but you still have some options. The first chance you get is on Balmora where you can get these: Imperial Coordination Prototype Jacket Hooligan's Prototype Jacket Heres a picture of Temple wearing the chest-piece coupled with Imperial Coordination Prototype Leggings to complete the look (its a hand me down, but I still love the look). I haven't found them yet, but apparently there are other orange Officer uniforms that are drops on Corellia (have a little more red in them, but look almost the same). I think I saw a purple one on the forums too, cant remember where. Also check out this thread to get a taste of some of the cool gear offered to IAs. Good Luck! Edit: Its actually on Voss, not Corellia. Corellia has some really cool unmoddable uniforms, but I do not know of any oranges on that planet
  9. From the tooltip, it looks like the Rakata Field set with a hood. If that is true, I really hope its in game.
  10. Thanks for the catch, I forgot that medical therapy reduces the energy by 4 (shows how much I use it lol). I think I'll use it instead of surgical probe when I can catch enough people and no one is being focused. At 26 energy, I think Its affordable enough to cap people off during the initiation of a fight and I will put it in my rotation accordingly.
  11. The White one I have is unfortunately not moddable, I like to use it on Dromund Kass or whenever I have an official meeting with Imperial Intelligence. Plasteel Battle Jacket I don't actually own the other white piece, I'm going off of this helpful post by Yodascooby in this thread. This is the one I assume he is wearing in the picture. Rigorcord Cuirass There is also another one with the same name, but the tool-tip is a dark purple officers uniform. This has piqued my interest.
  12. It seems to me that Ops use DS as mainly a energy regen skill with the added benefit of some healing. I personally keep up stim boost at all times, and usually when I'm out of energy my adrenaline probe is back up from cooldown, so I rarely have energy issues. This could be a whole different story in the lvl 50 bracket, so I think I'll check your spec out. For now, I almost need the med shield (I pug a lot and NO ONE peels), and the 50% damage debuff from sleep dart is invaluable in 10-49, especially when so many people blow their best skills right away. I think that my problem with RN is that I often use it when its too late, I need to try to find a better place for it in my rotation (using it as a flyby heal on a group of 2+ seems like a good idea) instead of treating it like an Oh S*** skill.
  13. Tatile, I think its a reward for finishing your class quest on Nar Shaddaa, however there's a white one with gold accents (think General Thrawn) that drops from mobs on Corellia.
  14. I'm getting close to level 50 with my medicine operative, and I am following this build for PvP healing. (31/3/7) Any tips or suggestions would be much appreciated. I also feel that recuperative nanotech isn't working out too well for me. Maybe I had my hopes high because in 1.2 it was improved, but I still feel like the healing isn't worth the 30 energy. I'm probably not using it in the right situations (usually when I don't have enough time to cast a Kolto Injection and I'm out of tactical advantage), so if some veteran OP healers can give me some tips on using this skill effectively, that would be great.
  15. Some really cool pictures out there, drooling over a couple of outfits (mainly the vendetta set). I'm currently torn between two looks; imperial navy officer, or trench-coat backstabber. I really like the white version of the imperial officer outfit, wished it would have been paired with yellow instead of red, still looks fantastic IMO. Agent Lorenz Me and Temple, sporting our imperial garb Really like this gun, an elegant triple barreled shotgun I never made any of my helmets visible until I found this one. It was a reward for one of the 2 man heroics on Belsavis. Paired with the trench-coat, it makes me look like a futuristic noir assassin. Green is a nice touch Up close In the ship I have to say, as much as the developers seem to hate us, we get a lot of love from the design department. Maybe they feel sorry for us:D. Keep it coming guys.
  16. I noticed a couple of times, that the debuff would get bugged (lightheaded) and wouldn't turn into the explosion debuff. To fix this I changed instances on the planet, however I think there needs to be more than 100 people on the planet for there to be two separate instances. Maybe logging back in would work too.
