  1. Dumb idea. It solves nothing. There'll be complaints about level 49s, 29s, terrible queues, twinks, and the fact that expertise is now completely worthless as it no longer provides the advantage the players were striving for. Yeah. Your idea sucks.
  2. You're seeing it on the forums, because most of the ones that enjoy it ARE ACTUALLY DOING IT INSTEAD OF POSTING ON THE FORUMS. Unfortunately, I'm at work.
  3. Force Charge itself is a unique ability to the Marauders....and more useful than one would think. Especially in Huttball. Think about it as a counter for knockbacks.

    Healing?

I think all posts should start out with this so that we know not to read the rest of it. Correct. Unlike WoW, it doesn't take a raid group to kill a healer.
  5. I would totally have Sudden Death do the following: - Remove the speed debuff from ball handling. - Have the arena being shot up with random laser that can kill any players, regardless of gear, level, or class ability. - Stop the fire traps. - Fill the pit with that acid in the middle. - Make passes able to go twice as far. EPIC.
  6. Your post reminded me.... ....what happens to these crybabies outside the WZ when they're NOT bolstered? Anyway, that's actually a great idea. Might need to tweak the scaling of expertise, but giving that low level gear expertise might actually help with survival a bit.
  7. WoW didn't always have "XP off" options when there were twinks. And now that the twink brackets aren't always "alive" what do they do? They join. Play. Farm the crap out of your team and /afk out before the end.
  8. WAHHHHHHHHHH! I GOT KILLED BY A LEVEL 50! ....while the ball carrier walked right by him untouched. So yeah, just by being me and my low level, I got us a point. We went on to win. Yeah, I get killed by 50s. But I still find a way to contribute to the team, win or lose. I'm having a blast. Too bad the crybabies want that taken away.
  9. You think they started the game at level 50? Nope. Most of them paid those dues, just like the rest of it. You want that advantage? Earn it. Don't ask for it be spoonfed to you.
  10. It's not supposed to be easy and it isn't. The whole point of the WZs is to complete a set objective by working as a team. Most of the QQing on this forum is because someone wants an "easy mode". Premades are going to be tough whether they're 50 or not. Premades are premades. They do have an advantage and rightfully so. However, there's nothing keeping you from joining or creating a premade of your own. I don't have the link, but there's a video somewhere of a mid-level premade just rocking the WZs. No complaints about gear, no complaints about level 50s, just straight up working together to beat the odds. Easy? No. Possible? Oh hell yes.
  11. Possible, but those'd have to be some pretty huge brackets or the queue times will absolutely suck. Someone mentioned a system that would check a quote of level ranges per game. I liked that idea. Still one big bracket, but neither team would have any more of one level range in it over the other. Most premades would STILL work, too. It would just have to alter the quotas a bit. So if a group of 4 50s join, the quota would be 4 and 2 and 2 for both sides. It sounds reasonable enough.
  12. That's not what I was saying. The OP stated that a bracket system would balance PVP, when in fact, it would not. Again, WoW is a PERFECT example of this. I'll ignore your asinine childish troll comment and chalk it up to your mistake.
  13. I 100% agree with the OP. I've been saying this for some time now, but no one seems to be grasping it. WoW became so unbalanced BECAUSE of the bracketing system and the more they tried to "fix" it, the worse it got.
  14. In Huttball, knock the carriers off the ledges and force them to pass to a lower level player or if they refuse, keep whittling them down to dead. In Turrets, train them away from the turret (they'll chase, they ALWAYS do), have a teammate grab the turret. Then keep interrupting when they try to take it back. In whatever that other one is called, see turrets. It's been done several times. It's not impossible.
  15. In MMOs there is always going to be "Best In Slot". That's where twinks come from. If torhead actually had all the gear listed accurately, I'd link some more, but they're kinda behind it seems.
  16. I like to think of the current system like the Star Wars movies. In the movies you had your Stormtroopers/Republic soldiers, then you have your Shaak'ti/Darth Maul, then you had your Darth Vader/Luke Skywalker. Naturally, Darth Vader isn't going to die to a Republic grunt, nor would Skywalker die to a Trooper. Shaak'ti could easily handle a trooper, but not when zerged by them. Darth Vader could destry Shaak'ti. Now: Vader/Skywalker = 50 Shaak'ti/Maul = 30-49 Stormtrooper/Republic grunt = 10-29 It actually makes sense.
  17. Remember how they got around that in WoW? Leave before the game ends. Take the debuff, requeue. They'll never go away. Eventually, they were able to turn XP off, but that didn't work, so they went back to 'Queue, Quit, Requeue'. The debuff did so little.
  18. Well, yeah. I mean, the proof of what can (and will) happen is right there in WoW. Why would anyone want that? The terrible queues, the twinks, the severe imbalance and how it affected PVE, and all the while, the nonstop QQing on those forums. They actually want resilience to have it's own queue, as if it wasn't already bad enough. I think the problem now is that people are thinking "NOW! NOW! NOW!" without giving thought to the long term damage that brackets do to PVP. That, and most want the challenge removed and want gear handed to them with no effort. Sounds familiar, right? It should, WoW did the same thing.
  19. I don't think that he's in favor of twinks. I just don't think he realizes that there is a capacity to twink....if there's a bracket system.
  20. That right there is EXACTLY what's going to kill this game. Because they leveled to 50 and you didn't, they should get a slower queue. How does that even make sense? There is nothing stopping you from getting to level 50.
  21. Here's an example: http://www.torhead.com/item/8sWi0Dn There's more, but not all of it has been listed yet.
  22. Actually, there is gear available for twinking. My Powertech BH has some. After investigating several people of my levels, I'm decked out in superiors while they have maybe some blues, lots of greens, and orange with moderate enhancements. The comparison between my gear and theirs is pretty drastic.
  23. The only time my low level (again, level 16) has ever been berated was by a couple of elitists BEFORE THE GAME EVEN STARTED. After they finished QQing and left, it turned out that our team didn't do bad at all. We lost, but we came very very close. In fact, it's quite the contrary. I've actually been COMPLIMENTED on my ability to play to my strengths in PVP. I've even gotten quite a few MVP votes. Not bad for a low level. I've also had some higher levels give me a part in a strategy BEFORE the game started, and we'd gone on to win. Sure, I can't take a level 40+ on my own and I'm fully aware of that. But I know how to handle them. I'll usually have help nearby, or I'll call out the inc to my team. You know, those other players that are PLAYING ON MY SIDE. This all works really, really well. So yeah, level doesn't have much to do with it. There's no level requirement for the most important abilities of all: the chat function and using your brain.
