  1. (Still feel a little offended by the double negations..) Anyways, this was back in November, I hope they have sth. to offer with the upcoming GU 2.8 . I am going mad if they just remove the Tome or add another vendor up there, but I will go through everything I've tried so far again when 2.8 hits. If anybody got any ideas that haven't been tried by now, please share your thoughts. And BW, pls tell us at some point if there is sth. out in the Outlaws Den or not.
  2. Tried that "stone" [called "Counterfeit Murustavan Ruby"], and some other stuff in my inventory, no success. I guess we have to kill the Sarlacc then, jumping in its mouth with tremendous Courage, waiting with unbreakable Patience for the inevitable digestion and gathering our last sparkles of Hope to survive this horrible nightmare...
  3. Funny coincidence, we came across those crates too, but from the other side of the mountains. Some pics of that trip: https://imageshack.com/a/ZwOb/1
  4. But there is no logical reason why they couldn't give us the simple "Yes, there is a puzzle / No, there isn't a puzzle (atm.)" - this guessing game should be about the actual puzzle, and not about whether there is a riddle or not. So I personally think this is again more a lack of actual "Customer Service" if you see the commitment of several players to the cause and not even bother to tell them, though highly requested, if they are wasting their in game time or not. And btw - has anyone found "Sandclaw" yet?
  5. Thanks for the detailed recap of what you did @Tyminator. I honestly don't think that BW would actually lose knowledge about ingame "stuff" by sacking an employee, unless he created the ("we don't know whether there is one") riddle in the Outlaws Den all by himself and has never told anyone else about it, which would be rather unlikely, but not impossible tbh. And if I recall it correctly, hadn't CDW first received the White Crystal and then afterwards was seen stalking the Womp Rat in the Den? So I don't think they are necessarily related.
  6. This. They only need to feel embarrassment if they currently actually felt embarrassment without the need of doing so - a simple factual statement to the question quoted above is required, nothing more. I know what these guys are capable of, so this should be quite an easy task for them to accomplish. Anyways, since I have yet seen no reason to stop trying to solve this "mystery", a question @Tyminator: You said you "checked out" the balloon in the SE ez. North to Mos Ila. http://imageshack.com/i/5nxwr5j http://imageshack.com/i/f3nza2j Given that there are no screens of it, question is - have you actually managed to get ON the balloon? or at least get close to the spot it supposedly lands and tried to jump on?
  7. I don't want to spark the fires of the mystery machine again, but this response of the CSM could very likely be a result of e.g. me writing several "Bug-Tickets" regarding the Tome back in June, after not having received the simple answer whether or not it was a bug or remnant of some sort to my requests. So it could possibly have landed on the "bugged" list, which the CSM might have looked onto and responded to you - Because removing this so suspiciously placed item entirely and probably taking away the secret (if there ever was one) so we can buy it later in the CM would be too sad for me to believe. So I personally stop thinking things into this (where probably are none at all) as soon as a CSM/Dev has responded in here that there is only blank nothingness and time wasting to it.
  8. Indeed, but I still wanted to point out that there could be sth. about that Rat we haven't tried yet.. (e.g. a special item in the inventory (like the Ilum Force Ghost Crystal thingy required) or so.) Anyways - Has somebody actually looked at this place south of the Outlaws Den? http://imageshack.com/i/0wul4yj (sry 4 bad Quality) [-383/-448/497] Should be quite an easy knockback Task, but haven't found someone yet to kick my butt over there. Pics of another trip into the desert: http://imageshack.com/i/m91ukaj http://imageshack.com/i/n9bnv2j http://imageshack.com/i/0wregdj And btw, don't know if thats helpful (or has already been put up), but KoToR-Lore actually mentioned an "Ancient Tome": "In Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic the player is given the choice of killing the Elders as he was told by the One instead of siding with them. Doing this allows the player to recover an ancient tome, which Revan could then present to the One, and Rakata priests disable the shields. " [ http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Temple_of_the_Ancients ] Edit: And has BW actually confirmed that there should be a way to sort this out by now?
  9. I have already spent countless hours on thinking, searching and rambling - now reconsidering that the Tome would actually have a purpose in the current live client - let's recap which mechanics we have seen so far. Activating different Items to trigger sth. Clicking on objects to activate sth. (encounters, events, etc.) Gathering buffs, moving to certain areas, clicking on objects with certain items in inventory These are the ones that come to my mind. So some of the "secret" stuff so far (like e.g. the fleet datacrons) took place on a rather small area, whereas the Magenta-Crystal-secret actually makes you travel across 3 planets and in the end spawns a "Boss" by interacting with sth. And the Magenta-Crystal-secret is probably the best reference considering to "how far we should go" - Shockfrozen water actually spawns a force ghost? Pretty far fetched, imo. So what i haven't read in the posts is actually some more details about the Outlaws Den, which i would like to share. The "Auction House" (Tome) Building has actually 8 round lights on its entrance, probably a hint to the need of an 8man raid group (lvl 50) It kinda looks similar to Jabba the Hutts palace Only one of the three smaller buildings spread across the area (the one north) has a lightbulb or sth. in it This building has also some kind of panel attached to it, but i couldn't find a way to click/activate it So probably my best guess - and i only tell you because i slowly run out of Motivation and ideas - is my lovely, super -suspicious well fed womp rat. It's lvl 50 Only moves when a player gets closer than ~ 73,3m (which could be to indicate the presence of other Players) It's path actually leads you to each vendor The vendor buffs can be applied on the rat too (which could be a bug), and there is enough time to apply all 3 of them and have the rat move back to the center Talking about the "Ultimate PvP Boss", defending/fighting for control of the rat and the vendors would be quite a PvP Task, considering their long respawn timers. But I have watched the rat for hours now, hugged that damn thing, tried to feed it, even tried to get it close to the Tome with all buffs on me and on it - no results. So probably sb. else has more time to take care of that ugly creature. Maybe there's an Rakatan device or sth. idk. of that transforms it, maybe the Tome itself is that device. But that are just my thoughts on it, maybe I'm completely off track And a Dev/BW - response of some kind, whether it is currently ingame or not, would be freakin awesome at this point.
