I'd like to create a character or two on a server with more people who love Star Wars above MMOs and who know terms like Nautolan, Mandalorian and the proper term for Mandalorian iron is Bes'kar. Any ideas?

Magicarp girl is magical.

Me at Celebration V (Star Wars convetion) with Dave Filoni (Supervising director of The Clone Wars):
Me in my Bloody Baron costume: http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd185/gokumetru/377130_2564844208797_1484894564_2808521_267105455_n.jpg
My Mandalorian armor isn't done or I'd use that.

The Sage is already powerful enough, you can't give us AoE on TT. It is a concenetrated stream of projectiles, not a shotgun blast so I don't see how it would work as a Shadow thing.
A shadow isn't a directly offensive force user anyway, they use it for stealth and to augment their skills with a saber.

You can get all of them unless your characters too fat to get the Willpower one on Alderaan.
-
If you roll Imperial and get ganked, thats just us Reps having the only open world PvP we have a chance at. If you joins the faction that even on more balanced servers is 2 to 1, you shouldn't complain.

TK throw has a what, 35 max? 30 meters as a sage and slows the target, and crits at around 5k over 3 seconds (1.5 if you have psychic projection). You are still a consular if your complaining about range.
-
In addition, rolling 50 flashpoints never hurt. If I'm grouping with a fresh 50 sage, I throw them a free or discounted Endowment belt, and I am sure a guild mate with the schematics for Powertech tank stuff would craft it for you.
-
Problem is, you wouldn't be much of a Mandalorian in light armor, would you? I would love a Mando faction though.

No planet to planet travel would be possible, short of between Coruscant and Carrick statio, Dromund Kaas and their fleet and Nar Shaada and Nal Hutta. What your saying just adds another step to travel and thus another loading screen. There is no point in exploring in space. It's blackness with a bunch of Stars or insane amounts of dev time to make unique stuff to explore that will feel like clutter.
"Traveling through hyperspace ain't like dusting crops, boy! Without precise calculations we could fly right through a star or bounce too close to a supernova, and that'd end your trip real quick, wouldn't it?"
You can't pilot manually in hyperspace (short of those who chart hyperspace routes in the first place), so the only time you could do it is in real space. Not much reason for that except PvP space combat.

I hear Jake had played a bit too much Star Fox lately and heard Peppy in his head.

I love it, and several arcs I have enjoyed more than any of the movies.

Although I like day and night cycles, you also have to remember that they would have to change all that in the cutscenes as well to match the day/night cycle. That might not be an easy thing to do. I don't know because I don't work for them.
That said, if they're really going to put some effort into something aesthetic that can also be extremely useful, I'd like to see them go ahead and complete their UI revision so I can have more bars on the bottom, and be able to resize/move UI elements.
I'll take that first, then there's a large list to complete, then we can start worrying about the in-game weather and other aesthetic elements.
Not only would it not be easy, the cut scenes were designed with the current sky in mind, some cut scenes would lose impact they otherwise had from a planet's perpetual day/night

The best part of this is people complaining about painted back grounds are probably also the people who think George Lucas ruined Star Wars by -gasp- fixing things the that matte paintings, no matter how wonderfully painting, can not do.

Problem is, some planets were designed to look better at different times. Having Coruscant having nightime would be cool, but why have day on a planet designed to to look cool at night (Nar Shaddaa). Dromund Kaas is stated to be perpetually dark for canon reasons. Quesh looks great with an orange sky, why take that away?
Not to mention planets differing day/night cycles and atmospheric makeup. Coruscant has a 24, which works out dandy. But then you have Tatooine with two suns and a 23 hour rotational period (Same for Hoth). Nar Shaddaa and Hutta's is 87 hours. Tython is 31.5 hours. Logistically, doing a properly immersive day and night system would be a nightmare.
Who cares about realism is stylized realism looks cooler? Why not remove sound from space combat to add to the immersion of space?

So the two seconds reduced timer on Mind Snap is more useful then?
-
I do this on my DPS sage if I am guarding a node. I am more useful in the future if I get 5 medals watching a node than getting 2 medals guarding a node. Why shouldn't I get 3 medals for doing the most boring job in warzones?
I don't see many healers doing this when they have people to heal though.

Pretty standard hybrid. I would take the points from blockout and put it in forcewake though, I love that root (especially around fire/acid). Also I'm surprised with the points in inner strength instead of mental longevity. I don't know about the exact math, but I seem to have less force regen issues with a larger pool rather than 9% force cost.
So Force Wake does root targets in PvP? If so I'll switch the point over to that. The reason I went with Inner strength is a reduced cost + the force regen from Disturbance + the 1% force point restoration from TT means I almost never go below 50% of force points short of when I need to self heal.

Around 9500 affection you get a little line on the affection bar that indicates you can no longer lose affection, no divorce dialouge to my knowledge.

When I was leveling a trooper on Ord Mantel in beta, it sounded like they were singing the background part of the Digimon Adventures theme.

Wasn't Life-Day originally invented for the Christmas Special?
Correct on the origin of Life-day, but it was a holiday special that aired closer to Thanksgiving.

If only the story was engaging and made you feel like your decisions mattered..
.. Guess all the good writers at BW are busy on Mass Effect (I hope)..
Are you saying story was a bad idea, or that the story is bad?
-
Don't get me wrong though, I would be all for in-game holidays, just not celebrating things like Easter, Halloween and Christmas with Egg hunts, grim reapers and pumpkins and Christmas trees.
-
It's almost if Star Wars and BioWare is all about storytelling... I wouldn't be playing this game if it wasn't voice acted and didn't have a story. Besides, if you don't like story, spacebar through.
-
The Star Wars universe is separate from our own, take the initiative and celebrate Life day, the defeat of Malak and so on. Sure, Christmas is very ambiguously canon, with a few reference to a Santa Claus, but it still kills the feeling of being in TGFFA.
