  1. Totally agree. I don't want to roll on a new server as I have invested in at least 3 characters now. Only thing that sucks is that my server is dead.
  2. While I hate the botters/hackers, I really don't see this as a big deal. At level 50, you have more creds than things to spend them on. With dailies at 50 in less than 2 hours you can make over 120k, which is close to what these botters are making for the same time frame. And no one buys things off of the GTN for the most part. The best gear is bind on pickup, and rewards from quests provide all the gear you need. And before people start complaining how the "GTN will never get fixed","GTN will be inflated", "what's the point of crafting?"....well, I think that crafting will never be great in this game, as I think BW wants the game to be ALT heavy. What I mean is you will be rolling more than one character. This new(or several new) character(s) will have access to crafting as well. Between 4 alts, you will have more crafting options than you will ever need. If the bots are hacking, then they should be banned on that basis. Not banned for opening a chest on a high level planet. That's Bioware's fault for not capping either the planet or the chest. Also, I don't usually call people out, but it is more than possible to have enough creds to buy each speeder training. I have no idea how people are broke at 50. And this is coming from a guy who missed out on slicing profits by one day.
  3. Hello Everyone! I know many are sitting on the fence about this game, and i'd like to give my opinion of SWTOR. Currently, I have a 50 Scoundrel(37 valor, 3 champ pieces, 2 centurion), a level 11 Gaurdian, and a level 8 Consular. Sever name: Krayiss Obelisk. First off, PVE is amazing. I can say so far, the Smuggler story really pulled me in. I really do feel attached to my character, which is great since I hope to be subscribing for a while. Music score is above average, though I feel that music should be played more often as many areas seem too quiet. The Community is 10/10 in my opinion. Most people are mature enough that you aren't annoyed, and everyone is helpful for the most part. PVP.... Well, PVP from 1-49 is really fun. I've never PVP'd in an MMO, and I can say it is very addictive. 50 PVP is where you feel the grind. By the time I reached 50, I've played the same 3 maps over 120 times. I really feel we should have had 5-8 maps at launch to break up the monotony. And trust me, if you want the best PVP gear you will feel the grind. And therein lies my problem with SWTOR. The game for the most part doesn't feel like a grind, but when you reach 50, I feel like the game ends. Disclaimer: The only MMO's I have played are FFXI, LOTRO(not much), GW, and FFXIV. Why should I make excuses for BW/EA? I can understand if MMO's were still a new "idea" so to speak. But how do you release an unfinished game? Levels 1-49 will take a person who plays 25 hours a week about a month to get to 50. In comparison to the MMO's I've played, this is really quick. This wouldn't be a problem, but why do I need to do the same dailies and weeklies over and over again, with no real goal? Once I get Battlemaster gear, what happens? Where is the fun? I visit the forums every once in a while, and it's pretty depressing TBH. Everyone is always complaining. It wasn't until I was 50 opening 24 Champ bags an only getting 3 champ pieces, that I really became frustrated. I don't feel like I'm earning my gear. I feel like I'm unlucky and possibly wasting my time. Queues take hours on my server sometimes after 6 PM. Best days to play are Fridays for Warzones. Illum is dead. Maybe 8 people there on average. I sometimes consider rolling on another server, but I like the friends I've made, and my guild. Keep in mind my server was "Heavy" at launch. Most areas feel dead, and the fleet has an average of 30 people on or less. Gear is very uninteresting. I think each class has maybe 2-3 cool looking sets. Some sets, especially PVP ones, look just plain foolish. Companion system is a great addition. When I last played FFXI, my biggest gripe was waiting for a "perfect team" consisting of a tank, dps, healer, and buffs. Most of the game is solo friendly, so until 50 you won't be waiting around trying to progress. A big problem is exploiters, which come in all different shapes and sizes. On the Voidstar, our OPS would report a repub of our own exploiting a way to get through the gates ahead of time. The said person has been doing it for about 3 weeks. Not cool. GTN isn't hard to use. I think this is a compliant that's been overblown. What I will say is not many items are up for sale, and I think BW should add an auction house to each planet which are all connected to each other. I don't hate the game, I'm just really depressed. I know in 6 months to a year, this game will be what it should have been at launch. But what about my current 6 month sub? Bioware should have waited a bit longer IMO. I'd rather have a great product than a "work in progress". After playing FFXIV and watching that ship sink, I'm hoping this game does not follow suit. I'm really just venting my frustration. I feel like I'm forced to play another character so that I don't get bored. Lastly, I think Bioware needs to figure out a way to make solo story content that gives rewards worth chasing after 50. Say maybe companion gear for now. Story is what is driving this game and playing the same flash points over and over gets dull very quickly, and much of the player base seems to enjoy soloing more than partying. To end my review, I give SWTOR a score of 6/10. My personal recommendation is to wait until September or so before subbing. I think most of the bugs and gameplay problems will be ironed out.
  4. @DarthOvertone I have no problem pressing 10 buttons. The problem is the subpar damage and effects from said abilities.
  5. Honest question: until I am 50 my opinion is invalid? I'm being serious. I'd like to know if there is a massive change in power by 50. Thanks for your reply.
  6. Video says it all. I am a 48 Scoundrel, have been having a great time with this game. PVE wise Scoundrel seems just right. PVP feels just right as well. In PVP, if it's 1 vs 1 and my opponent is geared equally and within 10 levels of me, usually it comes close to a tie on who wins. With those below level 30 I usually win the battle, but here's the thing. After I break stealth, I am pretty vulnerable. So I may take one enemy out, but then I have to resort to "Disappearing Act" to use my best move. DA has a 3 min cool down. If someone does recurring damage it's useless. The rest of my attacks fail in comparison to the damage output of other classes. So my question is this: seeing how after stealth, my moves are subpar, what role does the scoundrel have with the upcoming nerf? While the nerf may seem small percentage wise, people who do not play scoundrel must understand that between the damage nerf and the stun nerf, I can't see scoundrels being viable for anything. We have the worst healing of the healing classes, we only have one good attack which is situational, and our defenses aren't that great either. I am really disappointed in Bioware. I feel like every week they do something that isn't horrible, but annoying with their updates. With the latest one, Sorc/Sage/Van/BH will dominate(in many ways they already do). Give us incentive to play other classes BW, don't make us regret our decisions to play a class.
