  1. BW, I've decided to post this issue here in General Discussion, as I believe the most people peruse this forum and I'm hoping to get some concurring accounts. Simply, whenever I receive and accept the message to enter a WZ after waiting int he queue, I am ushered to a loading screen (LS) (which looks like the fleet LS ) and then I am logged out. Note also that my character selection list pops up on the right while I'm still on the LS. This bug has been happening continually since I came into a WZ at the very end (due to early leavers) and I only saw the scoreboard. This is a game-breaker, particularly as Ilum is also not crediting kills today. Please remind me why I am paying per month when the days which I can actually get off and play always seem to have issues.
  2. Sub has been cancelled - delay of 1.1 is the final straw for me. I'll check back with this thread from time to time to see if they ever implement this mystical patch.
  3. Now there's a tenuous jump and an utterly irrelevant series of "points." Keep on fighting keyboard warrior, you're untouchable behind that screen.

I, and many, many others, have been extremely patient waiting for this 1.1 patch to fix some of the most substantial issues in the game (particularly the Kira Carsen Jedi Knight bug which has been ongoing since beta and even engendered a 180+ page thread). Sneakily postponing this patch with only a few hours to spare before its release is an outrage and a very, very poor business decision. This nonsense is truly the straw that has broken the proverbial camel's back, and I will simply copy and paste what I've already done: "Your subscription has been cancelled. You have 1 day of play time remaining. When your play time runs out, you will no longer be able to play. Please sign up for a recurring subscription plan or redeem a Game Time Code."

  8. Not FIFTEEN MINUTES, after I take this issue from the JK forum to the General Discussion forum does StephenReid respond with this in the massive 157 page thread. Coincidence? I assume that a major patch is simply the big down-time every Tuesday evening?
  9. I actually did not read it, until it was quite literally a few hours too late (after I made my decision). I also subconsciously had faith in BioWare to clean up this kind of garbage after 4 years in development, $125 million and a lengthy beta testing period.
  10. Finally a response (and not 15 minutes after I post the same issue on the General Discussion board). What constitutes a "major patch"? Is it simply the big down-time every Tuesday evening? So this Tuesday we should see a fix?
  11. This is precisely my fear also: we will very soon be in the minority, and as more time goes on, the more likely they will be able to easily sweep it under the rug. Open tickets and keep commenting (take a look at the thread I opened on the General Discussion board).

I think you're speaking sarcastically (sometimes tough to read into on a forum), but in case not I'll just clarify: One particular and significant choice in the earlier JK story line precludes you from ever interacting or receiving a quest from the involved companion again. As I said, it effectively eliminates arguably the most rewarding and immersive side quest of the game. EDIT: from the devs (back in September): "For the Jedi Knight mission "The Defector", flirting with Kira Carsen during the Ship Intercom conversations following the events at the Abandoned Mining Base will prevent players from being able to receive further companion conversations from Kira Carsen." http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=5533

I just brought this issue to light on the central General Discussion Forum, with the hope it will reach a wider audience and an official word from the Devs. I have, of course, referenced the magnitude of this thread and have also provided a link back to it. This 157 page thread has currently achieved no official response, so let's hope the same thing in the General Discussion board will yield better results. Dear BioWare, I am aware that you already know about the now infamous JK companion Kira Carsen quest bug (currently on the list of "high priority issues"), but due to the lack of any action or word from the developers on this issue (which has been persisting since the beta), I felt compelled to offer you a "friendly" reminder in the more widely-read General Discussion Forum. There is currently a massive thread in the JK class discussion forum (sitting pretty at 157 pages and 137,000 views), which brilliantly details why this issue has been the cause of such great discontent among every individual who has encountered it - this is not an average 'work around' bug. As it stands, any JK who made a certain choice with their companion Kira Carsen earlier in their main story has now become completely ineligible to ever have a discussion or receive a quest from their companion for the remainder of the story (which effectively axes the romance story line). If anyone reading this would like more context or to simply read some of the heartfelt responses which this issue has engendered, I would direct you to that thread here: http://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?t=22485 As I wrote in that massive thread: "The sheer magnitude of this thread and the emotional responses which it has garnered, coupled with the outrageous ignorance and unwillingness to respond by BioWare, is the equivalent of them spitting in our faces." This issue has been on the "hot list" for as long as I have been viewing it, and no official word has been given since the time it was placed there (September). A simple ETA of the fix would certainly soothe the masses of malcontent Jedi Knights. As I alluded to, the reason I bring this to the General Discussion, is that I believe that the Devs keep a much closer eye on this particular forum than any other. The JK class discussion forum is probably considered a fringe concern, and is very likely rarely considered. My hope is that BioWare will listen to their paying customers in this instance.
  15. I can only recommend that everyone here opens in-game tickets detailing this situation. Yes, they already know about the issue, and yes you will only get an automated response. However, the more complaints coming in directly to the customer service regarding this precise issue, the better.
  16. We can all only hope that this Kira bug is considered by BW as a "high priority issue." Based on the amount of time that this has been lingering, I doubt it. But there is a glimmer of hope with this news...

I have been unable to play the game since I've seen the full extent of this issue, and I have been going back-and-forth in my mind, trying to decide whether or not I should cancel my subscription. I think I've decided to hold on until the patch next week. If no resolution or word is given at that point, much to my chagrin, I will very likely be leaving this game permanently. I implore BioWare to fix this issue, if they care at all what their PAYING customers are saying with great conviction.
  18. They are currently testing a new patch to be implemented tomorrow, but it states that it's primary concern is the party/guild chat bug (another bug which I am experiencing). I have my fingers crossed that this Kira issue will also be addressed in this patch. I simply will not continue my subscription if it is not addressed in a timely fashion.
  19. Something HAS to be done regarding these horrific queues. I will not wait over an hour to play every time I want to login. Even when I do make it through the queue, I most often get "error code 1003/1005" sending me to the start of the queue again. I will NOT pay for anytime in this game if I have to wait in a queue on a consistent basis. NOTE: I am NOT playing during peak hours.
  20. OP, well said and kudos to you. This is a very articulate post and it sums things up in a very organized and thoughtful manner. I'm posting not only to give props to the OP, but I'm also bumping this in the hope that BW reads it very carefully. Your customers are your lifeblood, learn this lesson quickly.
