Real competitive gamers want Skill > Gear in PVP. The only people who want Time spent > then skill are the individuals who care only about winning, not competition.

Its math. If the boss has 10 items to drop and you only need one of those, and they have equal chances to drop you would need to run the instances 10 times to have an even chance at seeing that item drop. Strings of the same number appear all the time in random rolls, ie its highly possible that in 20 runs you will still not see it. As you are leveling its hardly an issue, you will get gear from quests that is just as good at your next planet. In wow I ran ZA 30 times and never saw my shoulders. I ended up getting a better pair from a harder raid. Months later running someone else through it . . . they drop. Its the name of the game friend.

There is social activity going on in my realm. Lothar US. Its more then decent, its excellent. Lets think about it this way . . . . if in order to be social you need to have a group something is wrong. Is the only incentive to be social that you need 3-4 other people to complete a dungeon? How is that possible? If all you really want is a dungeon and that is the only thing making you take the time to be social .. . . then something is missing WITH YOU, not with the game. I created a community on lothar becuase it had a large population for the faction I choose, I wanted lots of people on the server for many reasons, some of them to get groups, some to get raids, some to just be able to make friends becuase you know its rare you click with someone, and grouping is such a small part of that. Also with the tool in place I still get people together to run dungeons, we prefill the whole group, then q. It removed none of the fun. It just makes it easier, and if someone has to go, it makes it 1000000% easier to get a replacement. No waiting for 1 person then another has to go becuase of the time it took to get the replacement, and then you end up in a failing group for no other reason than time constraints meets a lack of ease of use . .. and for what so that players are forced to explore a world they may have already explored? Or becuase some players will not socialize without the incentive of a group? You really are going to have to unpack these issues, becuase you are not really making a strong case.

It would be interesting to know how many are left and how many have been provided access so far.

Definitely a problem, and probably not server related. Id update vid card drives, check processes, make sure nothing is using up all the resources. What video card do you have?

Well each to there own, and of course individual mileage may vary. I just dont see the greater population of wow players as a community. A community share space, they share resources ect. So for me a community is server level and never beyond. I created a gaming community, it lives strong, and I enjoy that group of people a great deal. I will not be getting Kung foo panda expac, but I will continue to play WoW until then, in fact becuase of the community I have engaged with on Lothar. Great group of gamers and good folks, some of which have pre-ordered SW and we will be building a great community here as well. Looks like it may be on Tarro blood, we shall see.

I agree, however I would say its not a community issue, its a vocal minority of very angry people with emotional control issues.
