  1. Totally agree with OP. I've seen it time and again where random people just vote for their friends rather then the actual MVP. Being a SW it's hard to get MVP and I rarely see any voted as such, but I do always have a look at the objective points etc and vote accordingly. Maybe it's jealousy on the part of those who don't vote, and simply don't want to reward someone for doing well (even if it's their own team!!). Again, I'll add I'm rarely MVP or deserve to be MVP, so no trolling please But an auto vote system would work. Give 'x' amount of points for every medal, every 50k of damage/healing etc. Maybe give people a small xp bonus for voting? I don't know, but I think most people just click off the screen without knowing what to actually do. Similar to the pass button in Hutt Ball...
  2. Btw.. Thanks Just thought I'd try to inject some actual discussion in the 'General Discussion' Forum lol
  3. Yes.. Yes I do! I had an Ewok annual as a kid which was amazing... lol, yeah fair point on a commerical level for them to speak 'English' though again it's only really Wicket the Super-Ewok!
  4. Why? It's a fair and honest question, and I had hoped that because it was neither 'hating or loving on the game' it would incite some decent conversation amoung the forums many and varied users.
  5. To be fair.. Assuming which time line your going with, he'd either not be on the planet yet. have flown away or would have content in his little hut
  6. Hey all, So.. Ewoks! Love or Hate them, they do play an 'important' part in three Star wars films. Most people know of them in 'Return of the Jedi' where we're first introduced to Wicket and co. Just as a recap, when the Republic land on Endor and they encounter the Ewoks neither party can understand the other and the Ewoks are living a very basic existance. We're lead to believe that they haven't really come into contact with other civilisations as they a) haven't been wiped out or b) how any cultral influence in their society. Now comes the issue of the other two films the Ewoks have starred in. Caravan of Courage --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caravan...Ewok_Adventure And Battle for Endor --> http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ewoks:_...for_Endor#Cast If you havent seen these films I'll keep to the basics to avoid spoilers A ship crash lands on Endor and the family get split up. The parents go to (a) and the kids are taken in by the Ewoks. Now.. the family speak 'Galactic Basic' as they are humans (and in the future Star Wars novels) the girl is confirmed as such when she attends a republic Academy (I believe). The Ewoks, Wicket amoung them start to learn Galactic Basic and form a bond with the children and by the second film, several of them are fluent in the language, conversing with Cindel (the girl) in matters of schooling and principles of family. So.. what gives? If Return of the Jedi happened before the other two, then when the family crash lands the Ewoks would have greeted them in Basic and possibly a Republic presence would have been left on Endor. Geographically that would be in the vicinity of the crash due to the Ewoks presence. It's also confirmed these are the same Ewoks by the presence of Wicket and co. Also the Ewoks looted Imperial bodies for weapons and armour and this would have existed in the latter two films. If the caravan of Courage / Battle for Endor happened before Return of the Jedi (makes more sense in my opinion). Then again, Wicket would have understand Leia when she first encounters Wicket. Also, the Ewoks would have had the looted weapons of the previous 'baddies'. Also Teek a major character in the two other films doesn't feature at all in Return of the Jedi, even though his great speed would have been of huge benefit. On a sillier note, can Ewoks use the Force? or are they not Force sensitive? If they are then Luke when he started his Jedi academy would have surely recruited some of them? Anyway, please discuss and let me know some theories

  8. Letting go of the ball I assume you mean? And I don't understand the glory thought as it's doesn't say 'Ball Hog has scored a goal' it just says the team has scored. Sure it's reflected in the objective points at the end, but as I mentioned in a previous thread people with most kills/medals get MVP more then high objective scores.
  9. Having just finished yet another game of Hutt Ball I have made an observation. No-one Passes. It's a team game, that should involve people being on a 'team' and passing to 'team mates' if they think they will lose control of the ball. I've seen it countless times where 2-3 team mates are jumping about signaling for a pass and the ball holder tries struggling on and ultimately dies. Grr...
  10. In total agreement Thus it doesn't offend anyone's eyes and ruin their gaming experience. it's just another portal people can access so they wish and allows for people interested in role playing an extra dimension!
  11. Maybe a cool feature would be to give the team 'objective' areas or targets and the team get bonus exp/social/valor for doing them?
  12. That would be fine but they don't even get blamed! and the MVP always seems to go to most kills.. never to op leaders for good strategy or people who have done well on objectives. I saw one guy get all 3 goals in huttball (we won 3-1) but not get a single vote apart from mine
  13. Hey all, So I'm lvl 29 and have been playing pvp quite actively over the past week. I've enjoyed most of it very well, and i've been part of some great teams and shared some fun moments. Now I've often seen other members of the teams get given the title of 'Op Leader' and their text is all nice and different so it stands out when they type anything. The question I have is... what's the point of them? From the many games i've played people practically 'never' listen or bother to communicate back, so if the op leader asks people to attack point 'a' no one ever ever seems to respond. Why? Now I understand the Op Leader is picked at random, but surely a possibly good function of teamwork is being constantly wasted by this? It's on random so gives everyone a chance to 'play leader' but as i've said a) many op's leaders dont type anything and b) if they do they get ignored.. Discuss.... Cuk
