Rather WoW from 2004 with a story than WoW in 2011 with no story/plot/decent gameplay

Wasn't it your own "arbitrary judgement" that created this thread in the first place? I would rather have better gfx over pvp, because i dislike pvp, that being my opinion makes it real to me. Covering up a list of what YOU think is wrong by calling it a review is misleading to say the least. And honestly, you laugh at ToR fanboys/girls while just unmasking yourself as a WoW nerd.

My best mate is a WoW fanboy and has been for 6 years. We convinced him to preorder ToR, he started playing at the weekend and hasn't stopped talking about it since, he loves it, to the point where he's cancelled his WoW sub. I loved WoW, I loved the gameplay, the lore, everything. Then I got bored. The things that make an MMO great are not arenas or LFG tools, it's community and the WoW community is dying. I don't want to spam the same 2/3 heroics all day for points/badgers and gear score points with people I don't know, will never see again and honesty never care about. I want to play with friends, have a laugh and create memories as good as my TBC ones. To the OP: WoW was broken as hell on release and is clearly not "working as intended" right now.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned (I only read to page 9 ). Blizzard's system works really well. Location specific downtimes and websites work well. When I was playing WoW, I had no connection to US servers, I didn't need one. Maybe as the game grows it'll be something BW think about. Or maybe CCP's way of doing things. While one server won't work for SWTOR as well as t does for EVE, the idea of having downtime daily and only for 30mins could work. In terms of EGA, I pre-ordered in late September, so I'll be happy if I'm in game at the weekend. Before then I have work and christmas to keep me busy.
