  1. Hi all, I am starting out and would like to know if I should play each class and complete the story quest, and then get to 70 on the one I like the most, or just choose one and go all the way to 70? I really enjoy tanking and so I am starting out with the Juggernaut. I noticed in the Legacy screen that you get bonuses depending on if you have completed your other class quests so I thought that most likely these bonuses are required for any sort of late-game play and I should really complete them before striving for max level? Also, I have started doing crafting but it seems all of the guides are quite old. Is there any point whatsoever in doing crafting or is crafting not a viable aspect of the game now? Last question, there is Galactic Starfighter, and then also the version where you are on rails with your own ship. Should I even be playing that or is it dead as well? Thank you!
  2. I have this problem as well. I have not played SWTOR in a while and so I was struggling to remember if the behavior was the same or not. Basically I can charge into combat, try to press 1 for my normal attack and the game will say something like "You cannot use this skill while invisible" or something like that. Then after a second I can attack normally and everything behaves as expected. p.s. I am playing out of Germany, near Frankfurt
  3. Greetings, I created a new Juggernaut and when I use Force Charge, I have noticed that even though the ability has (via the graphical icon) come off of cooldown, it still stays dark for a couple more seconds. I should have a 15 second cooldown but really it is acting like 17-18 seconds.
  4. What is the order of the Star Wars novels/do some absolutely suck/not worth reading? Thanks!
  5. lagged so bad, there were only 3 viewers and it was play for 2 seconds stop play stop play stop :/
  6. I've lost faith in Bioware tbh. They never gave us an adequate answer on the subject and refuse to provide more information. What else can you do?
  7. Happy Happy Happy Happy Tennessee Happy Happy Happy Happy you and me! Let's fix this ability! Thanks!
  8. bumpity bump bump bump how long do we have to do this before it gets a response
  9. Make this a passive please Thanks
  10. Quote for truth Bioware reading this yet?
  11. BTW, your "opinion" is wrong The balance between tanks is off. This is a bad mechanic. You're in the minority, sorry buddy ^^
  12. You know what, I set up my nostromo so it pushes dark ward every 12050 milliseconds. And it sucks. Look at it this way. If I am doing world pvp and I get jumped and stunned, I have to WAIT until I can even throw up my tanking ability that should be a passive. Forget for a moment that most tanking stats don't work in pvp anyways, but the whole concept just sucks how this ability is implemented. Listening to dark ward cast every 12 seconds is super annoying, it needs to be passive.
  13. Any update on this yet Bioware? Thanks
  14. Please make this passive Bioware. Thanks
  15. Just curious why the cost was increased. Unless I pvp full time, it is unlikely that I will ever have enough commendations to get more than one item for each tier at the vendor. I'm talking from an early level perspective.
  16. Yes I think it was not quite thought out, which also leads me to suspect that the assassin was the last class finished for SWTOR, and the tanking tree was the last tree finished before it went live. Maybe someone who was in beta knows for sure? It seems a bit odd, that if you are stunned/incapacitated and your Dark Ward falls off, you actually take a huge penalty to your defense vs a different tanking class whose mitigation is for the most part static.
  17. I realize that effectiveness in AoE is vastly reduced versus other tank's mitigation in the same scenario, but I wanted to try to stay positive and not bring out the "we suck vs other tanks" types of posts, in the hopes that a friendly community moderator will forward this issue to development ^^ baby steps
  18. And while I agree with you, I think we have the opportunity to not have to repeat that same mistake for another six years over on this game
  19. OK. I really enjoy this ability, at least the utility of it. Having to press this every 12-15 seconds, however, is not enjoyable. It adds 0 to my enjoyment of the game and makes tanking sometimes feel cumbersome. I feel that as it is already, we have plenty of other things to watch for as a tank. I am seriously thinking about just making a macro for this ability on my nostromo, and having it push the dark ward button every 12 seconds. In that other game, you may notice that paladins have a similar ability, but it does damage back to the attacker upon a successful block. I feel that having to press a button so often to simply increase passive defense, is a waste of our time and needs to be revisited. For the paladin, the ability also causes damage, and so mentally, it feels different to me because I am at least causing damage vs just a passive effect. I don't know why this could not be made passive, instead, with 1 charge being replenished every 2.5 seconds, capped at 8 stored. I realize this game makes us press the attack key manually. While I don't agree with that design philosophy either, I still think pressing dark ward all the time is a bad idea. I would appreciate it if perhaps we as a community discussed this and if you like/dislike the dark ward mechanic, I'd like to hear about it. Thanks everyone
  20. Hi Bioware, I was just in my ship and I clicked on the holoterminal and saw my character with hi res textures. I am extremely sad that I can't play like that all the time. My computer is > $2000 It can run it. Let me figure out how to tweak the graphics settings. Fix it please Thanks
  21. I saw the nice video from the guy explaining what is to come in the future. Very nice I must say. Only thing that would be nicer would be them saying "Yes we will get hi-resolution turned on for you guys, and you can manage your PCs performance while we work on performance tuning"
  22. Yeah I've never seen such a timid article before. It was almost spin too but at least he posted it.
  23. Hey Bioware, looks like your bad decision is making its way to the media now - http://www.mmorpg.com/gamelist.cfm/game/367/feature/6010/Tightening-Up-the-Graphics.html And Mr Reid's explanation looks like it came straight out of Animal Farm. I've never seen so much doubletalk/treating people like they are stupid farm animals.
