  1. theres no coming back, imp side is funner, the class quest are generally more interesting (ive played 2 repub characters to mid 30s), republic has better people though they just need to get organized. I have a guild that went full republic because of this. ~15 people switched and ever since then, republic wins more on our server because teamwork is important
  2. I know its supposed to be a glass cannon of sorts but I have a really hard time leveling or doing class quests even when Im 3-4 levels above them. Qyzen gets rocked even though he has a lot of gear around my level but he still gets lit up. I get smashed by silver mobs taking huge damage despite stuns, mini stun, shield even using medpacks but I still get wrecked. I have an easier time in PVP than I do in PvE. What am I doing wrong, what do you do?
  3. I was never rabidly against nor obviously rabidly in support of a deserter debuff. I just think it's such an issue due to underlying issues. I also think that implementing a quitter debuff without addressing the underlying issues will make games less enjoyable for everyone.

     

    First, enemy teams, whether premade or pug, will have no incentive now to not completely dominate an inferior team for the duration of matches. It will be much more difficult for inferior teams to attain even kill medals.

     

     

    Second, we will have far more afkers and botters and any vote kick mechanic will be heavily abused by people who don't like the look of that level 12 or that fresh 50.

     

    Third, this entire issue has created bad feeling in the community (or at least the percentage that visits the forum). Every thread is a flame fest now. Once a deserter debuff is implemented, a lot of people on the 'losing' side of this argument are going to deliberately lower their quality of play and participation in some warzones even if they don't afk. I know I will consider it sweet victory when I stay an entire match where my team is getting horribly farmed and my carcass fails to provide the enemy a single medal. Petty? Absolutely. But this entire issue is chock full of petty.

     

    However, good changes could be in the works, too. Changes that could bury this issue once and for all, causing the flamers and trolls to move on. Cross server warzones. Rated matches. Perhaps better matchmaking. So all is far from lost. In the meantime, I really wish some people on this forum would take a logic and debate class before posting again.

     

    I might need a refresher course some days myself.

     

    To be perfectly honest, when I run my 4 man premade in the 10-49, I would and I will abuse the kick system. I will kick level 10-14s with my guild mates and anyone else who isn't up to par.

  4. Huttball is hands-down the best warzone in the game.

     

    For the love of God do not remove it.

     

    they won't, its the best WZ by a mile. It requires actual team work to get done and strategy and knowing how to use your class skills to an advantage are also big in there. It just sucks for OPS/Scoundrels who don't have a charge and no knockback so they spam the pvp forum with nonsense like this. Other melee classes like knights/sent/jugs/etc do just fine.

  5. waste of a thread, just delete your post because stuff you mention are not things to ***** about. Get in premades yourself, if you can't then oh well, thats the way multiplayer games work. Healing doesn't grant anything, work the healer who will die fast if you learn to 1. stun 2. use interupts. I see scrubs like you who ***** in games all the time but honestly don't know how to play their class or use their abilities to affect the game.
  6. I thought they were RNG. With that said, you can't "expect" anything. You could have full BM by the end of next weeks weeklies. You never know.

     

    EDIT: Perhaps you need to learn what the laws of percentage really are. It isn't I have a 1 in 4 chance of winning therefor 1 in 4 bags WILL give me a token. Hell, you could get 1,000 bags and even at 50% have all 1,000 give you nothing.

     

    thats a terrible system for people dedicating time for rewards in an mmo, there should be a chance but there should also be a progressive but fair way to do it as well

Im probably much worse than a quitter, I run the game in windowed mode when i pvp so that when a game turns into scrubage, I just find a nice corner or box and afk, minimize and browse the internet, click back after 4 min, move. I hate doing this but the exp and valor is too much to give up to maybe have the same thing happen 5 min later. Better to take that 5 min and wait, taking 1 player out and giving the other team an even greater advantage to clean it up quickly.

     

    Im the guy that heals for at least 200k a game in the 10-49 bracket but then afks the games where keeping people alive is just a fruitless endeavor.

  8. as each patch goes live and things they say they fixed are still happening (Im looking at you non credited wins in WZs), it makes me realize that bioware is sabotaging their game and its only the second month. What theyre destroying now is hybridization and yea most classes can't even do this but they should have the choice. I can see they're not taking things seriously by not putting limits of how versatile a sorcerer can be. Everyones rolling one now and I don't blame them. I had one since day 1 but when they do hit it one day, all those people will leave since you guys are just swinging wildly with the nerf hammer it seems.
  9. Patch notes made me giggle. They took an already not too popular class nobody complained about, and nerfed the heck out of its hybrid specs. Woo. Good thinking. Meanwhile, Sorcerers and Mercs, classes everyone plays and there's tons of complaints about continue to do what they do.

     

    You know, I have a sinking suspicion devs are all playing Sorcerers and Mercs. It's just too obvious now. Operatives wrecked both - nerf Operatives.

     

    I said this to my guildmates. Theres no reason this stuff is coming in unless the higher devs who control what gets changed actually play the OP classes and don't want them changed. No other explanation to this kind of nerf.

  10. Its not just Assassins, its Shadows as well. These changes are idiotic to say the least. Don't nerf sorcs but nerf assassins/shadows who already get lit up like christmas trees. Don't bother addressing real problems in the game, just spin the wheel randomly and nerf a class is what they seem to be doing because the classes that are wrecking **** are being left alone.
  11. so sick of this PVP system. wins dont count all day, the bag system is horrible etc, etc... level 70 valor and not one Battlemaster piece. this game is supposed to be enjoyable, this isnt fun. if the nect patch doesnt fix this crap I am unsubing this week. being the guildmaster of my guys I hope they do the same.

     

    already unsubbed after seeing the wins still not counting, Im not on a server where we blow the other side out all day. Bioware is not getting my $ to beta test anymore.

  12. Wheres the balance. Op's and scoundrels were killing too fast doing half HP in 5-6s. well Tracer missle spam can take 3/4 of my HP is 3 hits. 3.2k 3.4k 2.9 . That is killing much faster then intended per bioware.

     

    Balance this crap out.

As much as I hate to say it, because I hate WoW and all the WoW kids that are out there crying about how they think every game should just imitate WoW and if it doesn't have those features it's bad... but as much as I hate that, I think the only thing they can do in the immediate future to save PvP is to add Arenas. It makes me grit my teeth just to say that. But people are not even queued up for PvP nearly as much anymore, at least on my server. It's becoming evident that a large portion of the community is shifting their focus more towards PvE, or just trolling the PvP forums about the temptation to unsubscribe to the game... lol.

     

    its not about copying wow, its about having common sense and unfortunately a lot of the things blizzard added made the game fairer for everyone. Hardcores get their stuff, casuals get their stuff and everyone is happy. This game took a big hit the first month (just look at server pops), 2nd month it seems like their alienating even more people that finally hit 50 and now theyre going to leave too. For a game with a sub model, they need to be on top of stuff and fix things quickly. What theyre doing now is what I expect from a game like Diablo 3 or GW2 where waiting does nothing if you can jump back into it a month later.

  14. guild mate hit 50: 6 bags, 6 different piece of champion gear including weapon.

    Friend has been 50 for 2 weeks: Opened 35 bags, weapon and offhand.

    GJ Bioware, I think a lot of people were giving this game a chance for the 2nd month but something like this not being addressed makes the game just look bad, especially an MMO with a subscription. You expect time put in to yield rewards, not seeing some fresh 50 get more gear than you in seconds while you've been trying for weeks.

  15. Can we please have changes implemented into voidstar spawning for defensive team? The door adds a completely random factor to the game that is just nonsense. Ive been in games where simply because of the timing of killing enemies, they get to run out of the spawn instantly whereas there are games where Ill just miss the door and now half the team is stuck waiting the 20 or so seconds to get out.

     

    Put a flat debuff on everyone not allowing them to leave the area for 15 or so seconds to eliminate this randomness. Also if youre not willing to do that, change the door design so that people know when its gone. I cant tell you the amount of times ive seen entire team standing behind those door not knowing they can not run forward simply because the shields graphic is still being displayed.
