As a person who has seen almost every major launch since EQ 1, everyone knows and expects game launches to be fairly ugly with hours spent waiting in queues, servers going down for quick fixes etc. People understand having to wait in a queue for hours to get their turn on the server. People do not understand not getting a chance to even get into the queue when others are already in. Launching this game in waves is a bad, bad, bad PR move. Especially when no one knew or expected it. As someone who payed for 2 accounts for almost 3 years in the last MMO, and had already purchased 2 accounts for this game, I am considering already cancelling the purchase of both because it is 5 times worse to not be let into an early access period that you payed for and were promised, then it is to wait in a queue when people have taken off work to do just that. And even if people don't cancel immediately because of this insane way of launching the game, it doesn't bode well to start a game already pissed off, and the cancel button will be hit that much quicker.
