  1. Not overly surprising. WoW has this as well (although I'm not sure the systems are the same, but you can detect the authenticator). As others have said, it is simply a wise move. My WoW guild got cleaned out twice by hacks. As much as you'd like to trust that your officers are doing everything to keep things secure, knowing that extra level of security is there is that much better.

I agree. I have not actually implimented this feature on my guild yet, but over the next few weeks I will be notifying the members that for certain bank tabs this will be a requirement.

  2. I thought we weren't going to have this in 1.2 but we just did Taral V with 1 Consular, 2 Troopers and a Smuggler and got a Jedi Knight columi piece :(.

Sounds par for course for the dev teams patches.

They seem to always forget something in any major patch.

  3. No... I think I GET IT now... the 9999 is related to item count that can be withdrawn. THAT makes more sense. It wasn't clear to me that it was an item count as opposed to a credit amount.

Still unsure how to set allowance to be zero though?

Not following what you mean. If you put zero (0) in both the allowances, and the item removal section... they will not be able to remove anything or withdraw, or use repair funds, or respec with guild funds.

There is no way to set an unlimited amount of withdrawls or item removals, or repair fund usage, or respec costs, other than just filling up the required sections with all 9s. This is still a cap, but it is the highest cap you can get right now.

The credit withdrawl and the repair funds are using the same pool of money. If you use up your repair fund, you cannot withdraw any money. If you withdraw the max amount of money, you cannot repair. Access to repair funds and credit withdrawl are set individually, but they use the same pool of credits you set in the allowances.

You cannot set a seperate amount for repairs, and a seperate amount for credit withdrawl.

EDIT: If you are refering to the Credit Allowance section, you put zero (0) in the field, and uncheck both withdraw, respec, and repair. Once you decide if you want to have people use these functions, choose the appropriate rank from the drop down, then put an amount in the field, then choose how many credits you want them to have access to. This is reset weekly. If someone uses up their weekly alotment of guild credits, then you have to increase the amount of credits that rank has access to. But this works across the ENTIRE rank base, not just an idividual user. Wish they had set it per day, instead of per week.

  4. If you set to zero (0), then they can't pull out anything. Same goes for clearing the entry. It assumes zero is the limit.

I had to fill up the entry with 9999... it essentially gives unlimited but looks tacky when displayed.

I think the way they set up the bank is pretty sad to be honest. Only the guild leader can make any of these changes also.

EDIT: 9999... just means fill up the entire limit amount with 9's.

  5. It is per week. 7 days for whatever you put for allowances. Also... note that withdrawls and repair funds are from the same pool. So if you put it at 100k, and someone pulls out 100k, they cannot use any more funds for repairs.

I wish they had set the amounts per day, instead of every 7 days.

  6. If you haven't heard, to get to the Datacron in Castle Panteer in Alderaan you have to either have a skinny toon (body type 1-2), or be buds w/ one and have them rez you on the other side of a cracked door only they can get through, otherwise you're f'ed. I'm sorry designers, but this is just a bad move on your part, end of story.

    Working as intended.

Alternatively, you can also have your skinny friend, who has a friendly pull ability, go through the doorway, run up top, stand on one of the ledges with the flags hanging, while YOU jump and stand on the highest part of the center dias with the statue on it. They can pull you up from there with no issues.

    GL!

  7. If I knew I was going to have to type it in half the times I log in, I wouldn't have chosen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind as my favorite movie. For real, is there a way to opt out of the security questions?

Strange. I have only been prompted for my security question once. When I set it up. I have never been prompted to verify any of that info since then. And I have used multiple machines.

  8. Hi

In Fleet chat, someone managed to :

"Name1 slaps Name2 on the *ss"

Name1 and Name2 being the names of the two involved.

It is the same identical font and color as normal slash commands.

Of course the player won't tell me how he did that.

    Anyone know?

That would be the emote "/e" function

/e insert random emote text here.

    That lets you do:

Name1 "insert random emote text here."

  9. I suspect that's the new speed boost. I can't find an official description of it at the moment, but I believe it's a legacy unlock that lets you jet-speed for a short duration. It's awesome to have our jetpacks do something, at least visually, but there's a Twi'lek in a robe doing it in the video as well, IIRC, and *that* just looks silly. ;P

    A-ha, from the PTS:

Rocket Boost. Purchase it for 2 million credits (req legacy level 8). This rocket boost provide a brief, intense burst of speed for a short duration.

Improved Rocket Boost I: Purchase it for 1 million credits (req legacy level 10). Decrease cooldown of Rocket Boost by 30 seconds.

Improved Rocket Boost II: Purchase it for 1.5 million credits (req legacy level 12). Decrease cooldown of Rocket Boost by 60 seconds.

I do beleive for THAT speed boost, it is an either/or scenario. Either you spend 2million credits, or you gain legacy level 8. Same for the other ranks. Get to the appropriate legacy level, or spend the credits.

  10. I assume he meant the legacy abilities. We know IA's give orbital strike and Smuggler's give nut kick, so I guess if you want all 8 abilities you need all 8 story classes.

So... I can have a Sith Warrior, and a Smuggler, and be able to force choke nut kick?

These abilities go cross faction for Legacy?

  11. Are the Republic class buffs different than the Imperial class buffs? If not, you really only need 4 slots. Do Warrior Juggs have different buffs than Warrior Mauras? If not, then you really only need 4 slots.

If Imp and Repub have different buffs, are they really different? Ie... do they give different bonuses from Knight to Warrior? Or is it just a name change?

Please correct me if I am wrong.

  12. I gave up home long time ago. I am not waiting for the FPS fix any more, just for my sub to run out (40 more days). I honestly can't play a game that doesn't even run properly on my machine. I can't stand 10 FPS Ops fights.

And before some idiot tells me its my computer - it's not. And I mean when I say it - It's not. I hope I don't have to repeat myself.

    It's your system bro.

I have recently upgraded my Mobo and CPU, run a sub par graphics card, and run everything on max. And I mean Max. I hope I don't have to repeat myself.

  13. This type of reply is very shallow. I could take ANY question or suggestion and naively reply:

"Nobody is forcing you to play the game, suck it up, and deal with your issue."

"I know people that prefer dealing with your issue"

Why exactly is it even remotely fair for some classes to have to buy two just because they have two weapons that take color-crystals. The primary purpose of the white color-crystal is for aesthetics, and I don't think you can strongly argue that having ONE white saber on a duel-wielding character would look good at all.

I'm just asking for fairness, because 2.5 million is a lot, but 5 million is ridiculous.

You are getting twice the stats. The stat bonus on that crysta? x2. Anyone else who weilds only a single weapon, only gets x1. So... yeah. Double the price for double the fun.

  14. I love this ability on my sniper. Keeps me from going accidently into cover, or using anything with a cast time.

Same on my sorc... I can bubble, HoT, and Shock....

    Such a great ability...

That does not answer the question...

  15. Curious if anyone else can clarify what this ability might be.

I see quite a few people 'floating' around the map, mostly in HuttBall near end zones of the opposing teams when the ball is close. Is this an ability?

I see all different classes doing this, for both republic and imperial.
