  1. When you put it like that, it's impossible to say "no." -- I'd rather it be a 20 minute wait rather than an hour and a half of doing nothing. -- Did I ever say "Could you please put a teleporter to the datacrons everywhere please?" No. I didn't. Also, you accuse "no creativity" but do not explain it whatsoever. "Insults" without substance. -- By your hyperbolic interpretation of my post, I should have the power to ban anyone on the forum because I make youtube videos. And that's about it. -- Once again, there are people out there who will chase after these collectibles, hence why I continue to call them collectibles and not the most important items in the game. I am one of those people. Also, as far as me being a "dick about it" -- I'm not sitting here calling BioWare the worst company ever, am I? Am I calling anyone here names? nope.avi -- You and about 2/4ths of the people here seem to love the hyperbolic language of, say, 4chan. Anyways, I did not experience the balloon despawning on me, although if I did, I would probably be punching myself for even trying to nab these collectibles. I guess I am partially sorry that I didn't experience the same thing as you, I only got to experience an hour and a half of doing mostly nothing. My only complaint is that they do something where if you're playing solo, they make you not want to play the game with stuff such as this.
  2. Well alright, you have a point there. But. Is punishing someone who is going after, we'll just use these two specifically as my example, the strength/blue datacrons on Tattooine -- is punishing them for not having someone else with them, by making them wait upwards of ~45 minutes, we'll say... Fair? Not to turn this matter into a "Bioware isn't fair!" type gag, no, I'm just trying to figure out why solo players, again, for these two specific datacrons, would be punished like this.
  3. You didn't even read the first post, did you? These two aren't hard, neither is the one where you do a very similar thing on Nar Shaddaa. Infact, quite the obvious. The dumbest person you can imagine can grab these. As I mentioned, there is no skill involved in waiting, especially in upwards of ~30-45 minutes. Doing nothing. -- Saying "it's only 45 minutes!" is absurd, though. As I mentioned in a previous post, Undivided attention/loyal player. 45 minutes. There's nothing to do, unless you bring someone along, and realistically, not everybody is going to have friends playing this exact same game/server, and the most likely thing, is that nobody else will be going after the datacrons when you want to grab them. I'm on Sith'ari(not by choice) and there was a whopping 20 people on Tattooine, and not a one did I run into during my adventures for the datacrons.
  4. So, in simpler, less vague terms; The developers of the game wanted you to bring a friend to do something which I'm pretty sure they didn't think of to start with? This isn't a stab at you by any means, I'm just trying to understand why they would put in something like this, where you have to essentially do what could be seen as (from another player) abuse of force skills, to obtain something -- otherwise you get to wait an ungodly time period to get it the other way. I was playing my console off and on during the entire trip, My legitimate complaint is that if someone is to give this game their undivided attention, and then stumble across the collectibles, and then discover these specific two on tattooine, and then attempting to get them... They would probably be on the brink of hating the game after the wait period. (of course, I'm basing this off of going at it alone, not with a friend. Because realistically, not everybody is going to collect these with a friend.)
  5. Saying "You don't have to do that" doesn't mean much, considering some people out there will want to collect these things regardless of the fact you don't absolutely need them, or how you personally feel about them. As I mentioned in the video, I'm fine with the jump...puzzles... If you even want to call them that, I'm perfectly fine with those, but this wait period (of course, when you're alone, as someone pointed out) is ridiculous.
  6. Well, now that I am enlightened that I cannot read through that at the moment- It still leaves the whole... "I'm a loner going after the datacrons"-way a legitimate complaint. Not everybody is going to walk through Nar Shaddaa and Tattooine with a friend, especially on the server, whom my friend is now an ex-player of SWTOR all together, picked. Now the whole server choosing thing is a entirely different thing which isn't something that can be patched, so nevermind that, but what if you are going through the planets to grab these things alone?
  7. So I'm a level 34/35 Sith Juggernaut, and I decided to go back to Nar Shaddaa and Tattooine to yank all the Datacrons, before I go on Hoth and get destroyed. After landing on Tattooine, I hit up the first datacron, Aim, and then I made my way to the 2nd and 3rd Datacrons to discover... You get to wait up to 35-40 minutes, not including the wait time for the floating vehicle, or travel time from the Spaceport to the area where you wait, just to get to them. I recorded 10 minutes after I reached the waiting area, and then all the way to the actual datacrons as proof, because I'm pretty sure nobody would believe me if I said: "Did you know you get to sit still for up to an hour just to acquire 2 collectibles which are not worth the time you put into them?" Why is this the way it is? There's no skill involved in waiting, and it only makes me want to play other games that aren't Bioware/EA-made. Once players discover the Datacrons, then eventually wind up on Tattooine, and look up how to get both the Strength and Blue Matrix Shard datacrons there on Tattooine, they might wind up taking a week-long break from the game because you do nothing for up to 40 minutes, excluding all the other things I mentioned above. That "Jawa Balloon" should be sped up, a lot. Not to the point where it's travelling at the speed of sound, of course, but, it should not pixel-by-pixel its way through its' pre-determined path. Along side that, to leave in some actual "jump skill," either make it slow down enough to where it isn't impossible to jump onto once it hits the first spot, or make it come to a complete stop. It is ridiculously slow at this point, and it should be changed. I absolutely cannot wait to do these 2 specific datacrons on my other characters. This has been my only legitimate non-comparison-to-other-games complaint so far. I am fine with the jump-skill-puzzles or whatever you want to call them. Ugh. Edit, to clarify the whole "bring a friend" part-
