  1. No info from developers? Everybody on forum are asking for one thing... a developer should ask why and how give fun to the user. No new features, planet char... a MERGE... then think about the rest... only after rhis they could think on new features...

3 hours no wz started on Trayus Academy... we don't need 1.2 or legacy or story quest... we need people to play with...

They did give info on March 1st which has been reposted many times

  2. Of course it is - on light servers.

The majority of people left playing on those servers, including mine "Hedaar Soongh" are all 50. Most that are not are alts - "most".

Where else are the majority then? Hop on Korriban at peak time? Nine people or so. Drummand Kass? 25ish. Hoth? 6.

Where are the rest? Sitting on the fleet waiting for pvp cue, maybe doing a flashpoint or two with their guild or respective friends. It is a very good way to tell the population, on LIGHT servers.

What else is there to do? Goto Ilum? maybe 4-5 people there at most now. The daily's are not worth it and Ilum pvp is dead.

Anybody who does not see this as an issue or has a negative rebuttal re the players who do, clearly are not affected by it. Therefore this thread is not for you, go enjoy your server and play time please thank you.

As for the 30 percent of us Lighty's, may I suggest someone with a twitter account TWEET them? They seem to answer all of those. I want a flipping response.

A response to what? Transfers? They have already stated hopeful end of April for Asia/PAcific with the rest to come later. In these type of games you give a definite date on anything and you will be hung from the rafters for being a week late....

  3. People claimed that population was not dropping on some servers and that going from zone to zone to get a population count was not enough proof. This should quiet them a bit. You may not have asked for it, but other people wanted proof. I read all 73 pages of this post, did you?

Some of the problem is players have been posting information farmed at 5 Amor just based off of fleet believing Fleet is the be all and end all for server pop

  4. I did switch to Krayt Dragon and then the server picked up for a few weeks, so I decided to come back. I just wanted to provide proof to everybody of a total server population of less than 200 that could not be argued against. Maybe more people will start to speak up and I can get my guys off that server.

THey can't go anything yet but are working on it, how many times does this have to be repeated to people? Not trying to single you out but this is something stated over and over again by people despite the fact that they have stated late april for the initial test (Asia-pacific) at the earliest. Just do not understand people

  5. Moderators closed my other thread so I figured I'd share these with you guys.

I did a /who without any information in the box. Normally, this would come up with "Showing first 100 results". Well, guess what? There weren't even 100 people online for either pub or imp side tonight at prime time. I am CST time and play on Axial park. Look at the times on the screen shots if you don't believe me. Axial Park is an eastern time zone server.

Everybody wanted proof that could not be debated? Here you go. Start merging servers, or allow us to transfer.

Your server has been this way for AT least 2 months... why are you a still there?

  6. There are alot of players who have been staying on dead servers now for literally months and i have to ask why? Why roll and REROLL for that matter on a server that has been dead for months and then come here and complain.

It has been stated their working on transfers but its taking longer because they want to make sure there are no mistakes and here we sit demanding information that is out there already

  7. Picture proof.

It was taken at 6:12 PM Central Time.

Stop telling me this game doesn't need mergers right now! I did a blank /who and it usually comes up with "Showing first 100 results". Well, guess what? There wasn't even 100 people online for the entire imperial side.

    http://www.d4kkon.com/images/imp.jpg

I am not remaking my two level 50s on Republic side. Do something about this now, Bioware. I know this isn't the only server.

Guesses on how long it takes for them to close this thread?

    Which server is this?

  8. Except Torstatus just uses the server status, and not actual population numbers.

So what was a 130-150 fleet population and registers as Standard has alot of room to drop below the 40-50 fleet population it can muster while still boasting of being Standard population.

With a pop of around 1 million the average server pop will be between 250-500 with light serves falling below that and higher pop servers moving above that. This is the reason why some have been asking (myself included) people to reroll on higher pop servers.

  9. So when Bioware publicly states that it is working on server transfers, first for the Asian servers, and then for the other regions, they are engaging in deliberate lying?

Talked to a few people who have tried the free trials and decided not to buy the game based on the negative feedback given by players in the game, otherwise they enjoyed it. We are shooting ourselves in the foot here.

  10. I remember these type of threads from the warhammer online forums..

All the fanboys disclaiming that the game was dieing...How wrong those fanboys were!..........

Well initially the only issue was that there were too many servers for the population but between people quitting because they wanted transfers BEFORE bioware's ANNOUNCED Asia/Pacific date, people quitting because of false information passed around by players and people unsatisfied with the graphics we have dropped to a million or less.

And yes i still believe there are a million players but players will continue to quit because some are to lazy to move off a server that has been dead for 2 and a half months but dont mind rolling alts on the same dead server over and over.

This whole issue is Biowares fault because they caved in over the first week of launch and added about 80 more servers then needed. We just made it worse by having no patience and no idea on the work it takes to do these types of things.

"Hello everyone. I can absolutely understand the frustrations expressed here, and I appreciate that for the most part, you're being constructive in your comments. Here's a little more insight into the situation.

The character transfer system is being actively worked on by the development team. It's a large, complex project, made more complicated by the Legacy System - and it has to work perfectly. As always, it is not the only task the team as a whole is undertaking, but it's a priority. It has not been deliberately delayed, nor is it being 'held back' for any reason. As you know, the first stage of the system will be a one-off, optional transfer for those who are based in the regions defined in our FAQ. At some point after that, we'll bring a more fully-featured character transfer system online for all to use.

I can understand the frustration of those of you who have been playing on the US servers and waiting for transfers. We know your enthusiasm and excitement for the game - you wouldn't have taken the steps you did to get the game earlier than the official launch if you weren't enthusiastic. We're working as hard as we can to get the system in place. If we could have brought it online earlier, we would have. However, priorities post-launch had to be directed towards the game itself. The team's been working flat-out to improve the game, including bug fixes and additional content.

When we announced our launch territories last year we knew many more fans were excited to play The Old Republic. That's why we moved quickly to launch in Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong and Singapore, with more territories being lined up for future launches. Our primary focus when launching in any new territory has to be to reach more players. Ultimately, that's best for the continuing success of the game. We want everyone who wishes to play on the new servers to be able to do so, hence character transfer being offered. With that said, in this case we felt it was important to get the game into the hands of new players as soon as possible. That, combined with our post-launch development priorities, meant that character transfer did not make our launch date for these territories.

The development team remains committed to delivering a robust character transfer system for all, with our first priority being for Asia-Pacific players. If we can bring the system to you earlier than expected, we will, but for now we’re aiming towards late April.

  11. So heres a thought....why don't the people who want sever transfers, make a brand new character/class altogether on a more populated sever and play that one until transfers? This way...your

    1. Not bored

and 2. You get to go through a whole new class/story

As for my vote, im indifferent now.

Because they shifted from the game is to easy i maxed everything out in a week and i am bored to i dont want to lose all that hard work I put into my character and shouldnt have to reroll.

So now to voice their displeasure they are unsubbing which will most likely make mergers take even longer to implement because theu will have to make cuts to make up for lack of subs, and where do the cuts come from? The people whop actually do the work.

1 and 2 (tie) because they will blow through the content in a week and we will be back at square one...

  12. I just canceled my subscription. I cant find people even for Heroic 4 quests in the Lord Calypho server which is supposed to be the 3-4th largest english european server. I cannot imagine how bad is the situation on the rest servers...

Canceling your subscription is the only thing they understand. Not rerolling on another server...

Right now there are 100+ 50's logged in right now Republic and Empire side on your server perhaps the issue lies with you?

On 3/1 they came out and said they were having issues and that transfers for Asian/pacific players wouldn't be until the end of April with the rest to follow sometime later. So seeing that they are having issues with transfers what makes you or anyone here think that mergers are going to be easier to implement?

Unsubbing is making it worse because it TAKES AWAY RESOURCES. When subs go down budgets are cut which usually means the cuts are from the bottom, you know the people that actually DO STUFF. Every unsub due to impatience is another nail in the game.

  13. They were already well past that already, and many servers went up since then...

I think we lost alot since then and the servers really dont show more then maybe 150-200k on during peak... so around 1M subs

  14. It gives people an idea that it isn't going to be right now, which is something that everyone is demanding. It is also telling people that they are having issues with it and that they are most likely using the Asia/Pacific transfers as a test run.

I would guess that once they go through the data from the Asia-Pacific run they will open up the system for others. I have been guessing June or July myself at best, hence the reason ihave been suggesting making alt on a HIGHER pop server if you are living on the bottom 10-15. First week all we heard about was how easy it was to get to 50 and how everyone is done and now all i hear is that they don't want to reroll cause its too hard.too boring.

tdlr version: Its going to be a bit so suck it up and roll an alt on a higher pop server or take your toys and go home because it isn't going to happen tomorrow or next week or May2

  15. the real question is will there ever be an official response to the issue? threads are still being posted in/started over by moderators that began in january and there's no response on the issue. At this point im inclined to take my 1 in 167 million odds to win the lottery over a response on this issue.

Look through the Devs posts there has been a response, one I have reposted several times but always seems to be missed but i will repost it again

  16. this is ridiculous, i think it'd be neat at first but its really a bad idea, it doesnt follow a story line at all, swtor, please dont release this new character.

Its an april fools joke just like the Sarlac enforcers

  17. If I have to rename any of my characters, I'm done. Game over.

If they do a server merge, they need to take that into account.

I did not pre-order, on the first day possible, to lose out on my reserved names.

I will not be moving off my existing server (I'm happy with its population at the moment), but if newcomers are transferred on, then the existing characters should take name priority.

Well just keep in mind that some mmos will decide rename based on /played but I would guess your name would be safe on a straight transfer to your server

  18. People keep saying if you are on a low pop server you should reroll on a populated server but, that doesn't fix anything in the end. Instead you get tons of people who have wasted money on months of playing and building a character they probably really like just to reroll the exact same thing on a server that is bursting with people. which just makes the low pop servers even lower pop and then eventually the servers that were standard or heavy are going to be full and people will complain about lag or about too many people for this or that....

They need to first off merge the low pop servers and then allow transfers so the people that rerolled can move their characters back to their home server if they desire to do so, in effect getting to keep everythign they have worked on on one server.

Some of usare saying that if you like the game and are hurting to roll an alt for the time being because its going to be a bit before a merge is possible! They are stating End of April for Asia/ Pacific and later on for the rest<----- This has been stated multiple times but its simply amazing how no one bothers to see this or understand

  19. Still seems a little high for the server states.

Think we are down to about 150k Concurrent users or a little over 1.3 million subs.

One major issue/battle since day one on these forums is players believing that 1.7 million subs should equal 1.7 million concurrent users which is of course absurd. And the players who still love this game a losing the battle to this type of thinking.
