bah, my birthday is christmas day, they can have it for all i care, i learned to dislike it when i was a kid and found out that you can get christmas/birthday presents, and when i got older and found out you could never celebrate your birthday with friends.

well there actually is no queue on the game side but there are a big jumbled crowd of people waiting to be where the queue would be if there was one over here on the forum side

hehe its funny if you use a word the profanity filter can block its fine but if you use one it doesn't catch you get a warning email, because their profanity filter missed it, sounds like they should send the coders a warning email not you.

i couldn't agree more, i love tattoos and have a few but i think he may regret that one, unless its tiny and well hidden then its not too bad.

it also says on the main page that fans who pre ordered can begin playing now, its not until you click on the read more link and read halfway down do they mention the staggered access, they are masters at being ambiguos and using symantecs to their benefit

no i do other things but not many because i can't do much more i really am looking forward to playing and since they have given us no timeline the only way i will know when i can play is by coming back each morning and waiting, its just common sense they should have at least given an estimate, they had the number of pre order and knew roughly how many people per wave would be let in the could have easily made a rough guess and even if they were wrong it would have only been by 1 day and people would niot be as mad as they are now

no they should just let people in quicker or better yet tell them ahead of time an estimate of when they will get in so that they don't have to sit around and wonder.

if its a cable modem unfortunatley its done by grids and the more people in the grid(several blocks radius around you) with a cable modem the slower your connection will be. kind of like with dsl, the farther away from the isp you are the slower it is.

i don't disagree too much with the staggered access either i just don't like the way its being handled with regards to the lack of info, badly worded messages, lack of commnication and habit of changing things last minute on biowares part, all it would have taken to get rid of the majority of posts on the forum was a rough estimate of when people would get in a few days ahead of time.

i never made any comments in that post other than the fact that the bioware founders themselves reffered to the EGA as the launch on day 1

how is that logical if the didn't physicaly have the money to pre order, i don't have any gameshops close by that i could order from so i had to get someon to use their card and buy it online and i had to pay in full, how hard is it to comprehend that some people are somewhat poor and can afford to play games but just barely and sometimes they have to save the money to do so?

i didn't ask for sympathy my whole post was to point out that it sucks that people with vaild reasons of not being able to get the game early having to wait to play, but people started makign snarky comments and assumptions about me

yea sorry, my parents are dead and i live alone, and i am lucky if i can afford a game every few months, if i had to guess your probably the spoiled one with the perfect life.

my parents?, i'm in my 30's and i am on disabilty you ***, i barely get enough money to live on per month and the only reason i get games is because i have so much spare time from not being able to do anything that i have to find something to fill the time, i'm lucky if i have $20 each month to put away, sorry everyone isn't in perfect condition and priviliged like you, so excuse me if i am a little bummed about having to sit around and wait, not all of us can go out and do things to kill time.

um thats not what i said at all, i said people who could not order early because of financial reasons are being punished with having to wait while people with extra cash could buy day 1, that is segregation and favoritism i did not say bioware should give them anything at all, i'm just pointing out it was the wrong way to do things

yea maybe if you have a physical store to goto, but when you need to buy it online you have to pay in full, and don't assume that 5 dollars is not a lot of money to some, you have no idea where people live or their income, the only reason i sacrifice money for games is because i can't really do much else so it helps, but i have bills as well, a couple of vet bills and then i am broke for months, don't assume that everyone is in the same boat as you.
