  1. 8 interior. It's got that military feel inside which I don't necessarily like but appreciate that it matches the theme. 4 exterior. I've yet to get over the thought that the wings look ridiculous. Tbh I'm surprised I've had such a big problem getting used to the design but I just can't bring myself to like it.
  2. The story was pretty boring overall. I enjoyed it, but I'm definitely looking forward to playing just about anything else which so far has been far more engaging and interesting. One way I look at it is now that I've played this class till the end of Chapter 3 the rest is bound to only be better. Of course it's to be expected that it plays out very military like, you're a solider. Sure, a commando of the Republic's best but you're still doing what you're told with some freedoms here and there. The most memorable part was the last quest of Chapter 2, nothing else has given me the same ****** moment before though...maybe towards the end of Chapter 3 I guess? But certainly not so much as I had hoped. To each his own, but I would personally not recommend the Trooper for story. It's a fun class, Vanguard and Commando alike. Perhaps I was a fool to think there would be a good story on this class, but then I picked it because Commandos get a big gun...a reason I likely share with many other players
  3. Hmph. Lucky me I've yet to ever make a single grenade. Heck, I haven't even trained a single one of them. By the title I was afraid that somehow, for some reason, our mods/armorings or whatever would be nerfed and was like "oh gawd no.". But tbh, this could be seen miles away. This game's nades are pretty damn similar to WoW's Engineering nades and were also pretty damn powerful in that game's pvp too, be it CC or damage. But as always, history repeats itself.
  4. I would rather pay 210k credits for dualspec than go 10% faster, or even the 400k+ ontop of that or whatever it is for the 110% license. I know I can solo fine as a healer, letting my companion do the dps but I enjoy my DPS tree too. I'd really love to be able to have Gunnery spec and switch to Combat Medic when my friends want to do a flashpoint. I've gotten us through most things thus far simply changing to support cell but it's not really doable anymore for flashpoints. And yes, then there's the whole PvP side for those folks.
  5. We did that too in wotlk, Adrenaline exact same server on Europe /hi5 =) The only reason I use meters in wow is to see how I'm doing. 2nd priority is to see how I'm doing vs the rest. Pre Dragon Soul I was almost always #1 on my guild's meters and not once have I slammed it in their face or been rude about it, or to anyone outside the guild. It just confirms that I'm doing something right or wrong, and that's how it should be used. I just really hope they make it themselves. I don't want Bioware making Swtor an open playground for addon making.
  6. 2 days is fine. It's worked well for WoW for years no problem; yeah I hate to be that guy bringing that up but it's true. While I do think there will be a constant market for sub 50 level stuff, eventually the pool of people caring a lot about lvl 50 stuff will even everything out. Give it time. I know it's more managing with just a 2 day cap but I think it's something you just have to learn to live with. And to be clear from where I'm coming from, I'm not a market man at all. I'm a super casual auction user in WoW and I haven't even bought something off the galactic trade yet.
  7. Google works well. When you get a list of google search results for swtor forums, just click show more results bla bla bla. And if you don't want to sound angry, don't use caps.
  8. The game makes use of at least 3 cores/threads quite well so getting a quadcore is a good investment. I have an i5 2400 (I don't do overclocking mumbo jumbo) and have GTX460 1GB with 6 gigs of RAM and it gets the job done really well.
  9. I think what he means is, how effective/efficent etc is it knowing that there's a high chance it loses a tick.
  10. Cast stuff faster. Aka Haste in some games. It also reduces activation times, like Mortar Volley which takes a while before it actually fires.
  11. Welcome to 2011. It's been like this for a long time. Truth be told, lore aside, manuals for MMOs are pretty bad from a production point of view. It's an unintuitive way of learning the ropes for a game like this, plus it's outdated in no time. I enjoyed buying a game, grabbing the manual and read it as toilet literature but that's about it. But MMOs I've found are almost always best learned doing it rather than reading. And there's a ton to read in the game's codex so it's still there. But yeah, collecting boxes isn't as nice as it used to be. I miss it, but only a little. And I've grown to prefer digital a lot within the past year or so. I still bought the box though cause I hate origin.
  12. Cunning is for smugglers afaik. You want aim. If you played WoW, it's like Agility for hunters/rogues. It seems to be a powerful stat that increases your damage on multiple fronts. I imagine we value crit as we get some procs and extra scaling off of it.
