  1. I think the part that most people have a problem with, is that these addons become mandatory whether you can perform well without them. Someone who isn't that great, but has all the addons and uses a cookie cutter spec, will be recruited over someone who is amazing but has an off beat spec and no addons. I was lucky enough in WoW to get to a point where no guilds cared if I had all the 'mandatory obligations' because I had a great reputation as a very good player. But finding a pug? I could only get into one of those if someone vouched for me. I'm not really for or against addons, I have used them. But I didn't use them all the time. I think the problem lies more with the player base wanting to use gearscore, and mandatory addons. But I guess if everyone played better in pugs, there wouldn't be a need to discriminate.
  2. Listen, it's going to be inconvenient for someone. Welcome to "the world does not revolve around you". The sooner you accept this, the happier you will be. Also, I am currently in the same boat. Seems like every time I have a chance to play due to work schedule, the servers are going down. But unfortunately, the world does not revolve around me. And I do not rely solely on SW as a hobby or relaxation. That reminds me, seems like it's time for me to continue reading my Stephen King horror novel.
  3. My favorite movie ever. So I'm completely biased on this one.
  4. Oh, how I really wanted to play Republic side. And then everyone I knew went Empire. Now I am loving Empire. The Jedi do seem a bit more unrelatable. But there have been some posts on here that might help me get into the RP part of them.
  5. I know Khem is saying it in contempt, but somehow it still works for me. And maybe it has to do with the voice or looks of a character for me. I am a girl who is a sucker for the right voice in a man irl. Edit: And I think it has something to do with Khem speaking in another language. It doesn't matter if he says it in contempt, still sounds romantic. Call me a sucker, but it's a game. Edit 2: And the fact that Khem is still an attractive character to me, with his contempt and weird alienness.... And then there's Vector, who seems to be the best to me so far... maybe I just like the weird ones....
  6. I feel like Vector is sweet in his own weird way. He just seems vulnerable and genuine, but weird. I get how some people can't get past his weird buginess. Khem.... he could have been awesome. I just like how he calls me "little sith" and how protective he is. Just hate how he looks. It's like he doesn't want to care, but does. And I'm pretty sure he isn't romancable. Corso was a complete turn off from the start. I can't get past it. Nothing about him does it for me. I was surprised after all the good reviews. Aric could be okay. Waiting to see how charming he is. Isn't there someone like Alistair from DA? Now that's totally my type.
  7. I'm in the middle of getting my full back tattoo. I have wanted to get it done for 4 years. You need to pick something that has meaning for you. And I chose my back because I wanted it big and I wanted it to not affect my future income. There are a lot of stereotypes people have when it comes to tattoos. My advice is research your tattooist. Seriously, go around looking at portfolios. Visit tattoo shops, even if they are far away. You do not want to have something permanent that was done terribly and does not hold up well. Find out if the artist has won any competition awards and if their style suits what you want done. Please do not settle on something just bc you want a tattoo and that's what sounds good atm.
  8. I thought there were bi relationships in game already. I thought that's where Kaliyo and me were headed. Actually I'm a bit surprised, she seems possessive and a little flirty so I just thought there would be a romance in there. Guess I should be looking at rolling male characters so I can have that be part of the storyline. That kind of sucks. And it's not just for people who are bisexual who want this. I'm just disappointed with the flirt options in game for my female characters. When it comes to a game, I really don't care if a character is female or male, it's a game after all, and I'm not that phobic. And really having an option for it to be turned off like a language filter? In a game that lets you play a very evil character, I find it surprising that people only focus on that one aspect of what they would consider evil. Bit hypocritical much?
  9. Thank you for whoever suggested Silmarillion. After writing up my top 5 picks and all of them being taken, I came here for inspiration. And found something better than my top 5.
