It's not possible to prevent queues, at least not at launch. Let me explain. Phase 1 - You launch a new server. - People notice the new server, little population. - They start joining the server, It's filled to its max by the end of the day. - Most of them play for a while and go offline. Phase 2 - Since some people logged off, the servers population has declined. - New people start joining the server, unaware of the other people that joined earlier. - Most of them play for a while and go offline. Phase 3 - Almost all the people that logged onto this server earlier try to get in again, since they have a character on this server they want to play with. - Since the server has way more registered characters than its capacity, people get queued. What happend here, happens on pretty much every server. People log on and off, and by doing that the population of a server goes up and down. When the population is at lower level, new people join, filling the server even more at busy times. In the end the queues get longer and longer. Adding more servers will help, but as soon as you have character on a server, you won't go to another one, or will you?

I remember reading that September had the least pre-orders, so with a little luck we all get in since the waves are equal in size. 26 September here and I hope for the 4th wave.
