  1. You can manually turn on AA and it does work fine however Bioware should put the AA setting back in so gamers do not have to fish around in their files. It is a 10 to 15 second thing but convience is king now-a-days lol.

i could... but i expect a game in 2012 to have decent textures and AA

  2.

In SWTOR, I hope we will not have a Dungeon Finder, x-realm, and with automatic teleportation. And I vote against it, if I can.

The reason why I'm against the Dungeon Finder is that it transform deeply the mentality of the players, in a very bad way.

Selfish : they just think about their loot, their pleasure, their friends, their quest.

Lazy : why make an effort when you can just click on a button? Players are educated to click button and do what they want. They enter in a CBA attitude that I hate, that will influence their behaviour in the game in general, not only restricted to dungeon finding.

Impatient : players are used to recieve everything in their mouth as fast as possible. They can not wait anymore a group to get prepared, someone to explain tactics. This obviously influence their behaviour in other area of the game such as behaviour in guild or in raid

Anti-social : players don't need to speak to each other to make their dungeon and succeed their quest.

Anti-community : players will not get used to the players of their own server as they will play as much with players from other servers. This doesn't help to create a feeling of community inside a same server.

Rude : players don't care about their reputation. They can behave as bad as they want there is no more consequences for their wrong behaviours.

    .

Then can you explain to me how auto queue pvp can work and not do this? and maybe why you may or may not support it?

  3.

    3) Lastly, I am moderately annoyed by the implication that by playing at your level you are somehow above those that enjoy the game for story and gameplay, rather than future endgame and raiding content. I may not be as good as you, but just because I don't devote so much of my life to a game that in 3 weeks I have max leveled and destroyed most of the content doesn't make me less of a player, just a different one.

and that's perfectly fine, I intend to play my alt that way. however, Bioware needs to accommodate to both crowds .

  4. WoW: A tool which while it works exactly as you want it to, has done exactly what you jump up and down claiming wont happen. it destroyed the community by allowing people to just up and join any group instead of making friends and running it with them. Hell whatever happened to guild dungeon runs? Yeah thats what I thought.

same server didn't destroy the community, X-server did.

  5. the queue to be ported to a dungeons are about 7 years old, in early vanilla, X-server came a while b4 TBC witch is 6 years ago, LFD tool is 2 3 years old.

AND you cant compare pvp BGs to Dungeons, mostly ppl queue solo, there is no restricion on classes, 1 to 4 players can join in any gear (and in TOR, any lvl whit anyone else)

so that you said there, is just flat out wrong.

Thats not the point. What i'm addressing is the attitude that the general function of the LFG will all of a sudden destroy community by making people "lazy" by grouping them and teleporting them. Thats what the current pvp system does. in it's state it doesn't MAKE players construct groups, it does it for us. However, a system like that is accepted here by Anti-LFG people, despite the logic, the "lazyness" logic, being exactly the same.

  6. In comparison, we have a system that is allowed and praised, and a system that is condemned.

both pull from the player population to

    A) place you in a group and

    B) telepoet you to an instance, be it flashpoint or warzone

that is assuming both are same server, which is what I gather most supporters want from a LFG system.

  7. Whilst I think the existing LFG tool could use some improvement for those players that wish to use it, BW have already stated that the WoW style LFD thing is NOT going to be implemented in TOR.

The reason they gave is that they want to foster a sense of community.

This was confirmed by SR and there was a thread with a link on these very boards a couple of days ago.

    Good move BW imo.

    Driz

then what's their reasoning for the PVP queueing system that also apparently destroys community? so pvp'ers can be "lazy" but pve'ers cannot be "lazy". pvp'ers can queue where ever and be teleported to a warzone but i cant in pve.

  8. well then you don't pvp much. no one complains about it since it is the only way to do the "warzone".

people already asking to chosse the warzone they want to play. look it up at the PVP forum.

a entrance to every warzone where oyu have to walk to will be most welcomed by all those who PVP since oyu can choose which one you will run.

then lets start a thread to remove auto-queue pvp and insert instances to further strengthen community. Because from all the warzones ive been in people don't talk or strategize whatsoever, and I doubt pug'ing without a finder will fix that. People wont be social if they don't want to.

  9. Can some one explain me why a LFG tool will destroy the community compared to people spamming in general for a group or randomly picking people from the LFG tool.

Both are for the same realm and both cases are pugs.

or even people auto queueig for pvp and not talking to teammates

  10. Comparing the two is rather silly and you know it.

how so? both pull from the player population to

    A) place you in a group and

    B) telepoet you to an instance, be it flashpoint or warzone

that is assuming both are same server, which is what I gather most supporters want from a LFG system.

  11. If there was no pvp finder i wouldnt come to the forums to QQ how it badly needs it. Also, pvp is not a dungeon, its a much shorter run and doesnt have class (tank and healer) requirements.

    Cause... you say so?!

Then you must not competitively pvp, or just pvp with dps only. There are many uses for tanks (flag carriers) and healers in pvp

  12. What you're talking about is class balance. That has nothing to do with a LFG tool cross-realm.

Seriously, do you guys strive that much on beeing lazy? Is it so hard to talk to other people and get a group going. Seriously... its like talking to children.

better not use the pvp finder, or else ill have to call YOU lazy

  13. I think bioware should remove instanta queue pvp, it destroys community. I want to round up 10 people and walk to the warzonezone to feel "epic", none of this insta queue crutch stuff.

I think we shouldn't have an GTN as it destroys community. I want to talk to the man im buying from!

I think we should remove our teleport because it makes the game too easy and casual. Might as well get rid of flight points too while we're at it, walking builds community and a cinematic atmosphere.

    lol

  14. Actually quite some people I meet in SWTOR just group up and talk as little as possible.

They aren't any different than the WOW LFG system just as *gasp* the forum community isn't any better.

What you forget is that even with this tool I still end up with random people.

Besides just because some one is not a conversationalist doesn't mean I mind the person.

Just give a server only LFG tool like in WOW and it will be great.

You can add nice players and ignore the rest.

If you play during different times or play on a low populated server you got it easier to find a group.

This community needs to stop acting like children, if you played WOW up to the LFG tool you know that before that the community wasn't any better.

You still ended up with morons in your group just like in this game.

If you never played WOW and just heard stories you have no idea what you're talking about.

Bottom line: LFG tool is awesome, xrealm LFG tool not.

agreed. i think people just have nostalgia for those golden days, while blocking out the memories of hour long group finds and failures.

  15. I'm happy with no lfg tool, flagging yourself up = means we can pick what we want and make a balanced team,

Why would I want a team with say 3 melee when i have to heal them though aoe damage, hence why better to be able to start a team myself.

LFG = for lazy people, simple as that.

and thats why there is a kick function
