  1. It can be killed in other ways as has been stated in previous posts. We had our marauder spec for the added 80% speed to boost to help the group run out faster. We had our one sniper stay out as we ran toward his bubble (he also used entrenchment or whatever it's called so he wouldn't get pulled in.) Everyone had to pop med packs and defensive cooldowns if they had them. I had to pre-emptively bubble the squishier people (3-4 guys including myself) and finally had to heal myself on the run and once i was well outside the blue circle (I am a sorc.) It took some planning, but I can tell you it can be done with one sniper, although I can't say for sure if it can be done with zero. It is not impossible by any means, but clearly a bug as it made the purpose of the blue circle totally useless.
  2. "May take some time for the fix to be patched in." So you're telling everyone who raids the operation in 8 man difficulty that yes it's broken, but we are not going to hotfix it anytime soon. Good job Bioware.
  3. BW is this being hotfixed before tonight or is it working as intended? Can we get a response so I can cancel our guild's raid tonight and not waste 3 hours wiping due to what appears to be a bug.
  4. We had this same issue last night on 8 man hard mode. As a sorcerer I sprinted and was well outside of the blue circle yet continued to take massive damage along with the rest of the group. It was our first time doing the fight, so I was not sure if there was a mechanic where if one person lagged behind inside the circle it somehow triggered massive aoe that hit you no matter where you were standing.
  5. Agreed 100%. Another huge issue is the type of response we have been getting to this and any other issue they deem to be a "technical" challenge. I am sick of the word "tech" coming out of Bioware. The customer does not care that you have to develop a new copper alloy to be able to deliver 12000 coconuts worth of neutrinos. Every time you tell your subs that you have not been able to do X because it's really really complicated you continue to insult them, just as badly as if you said "we hired 40 kids straight out of school and left them unsupervised to develop the Pylon fight in EV...they f*ed it up so badly our most senior programmers can't even fix it now so we're putting in a reset button for when it bugs out again, and bug out again it will." In short, get your act together or you will find that Blizzard's pockets will be swelling again soon.
  6. I'm going to assume you're being sarcastic (I cannot tell since obviously English is not your first language.) If you are trying to make an analogy between 1961 China to 1961 USSR or USA (the only 2 countries at the time capable of space travel) and between Bioware and Blizzard....well....I just don't know what to say. Is your point that Bioware is trying their very best but they have internal company problems such as famine or lack of electricity that will take them many years to overcome? You realize Bioware/EA are top companies in gaming with similar resources to Blizzard? This is not a 4 man Indie company working out of a garage in New Jersey.
  7. No one can "see the future" ofc, but they also get paid $30 million a month to anticipate what the average person might not have anticipated. And while we're at it, let's assume it was impossible to predict that "the process would corrupt information originating from the Legacy System".... is it also impossible to TEST the transfer process and fix it in a timely fashion? You castigate people for expressing their frustations over a product they PAY for as if this was a favor. I hate to break it to you, but if you didn't get what you feel is owed to you anywhere in life, you would complain and if nothing was done, you would stop paying for that service. It seems to me a lot of apologists in these forums are buying into the "we are developing the tech for (insert something other mmo's developed 5 years ago here.)"
  8. With the release of 1.2, the UI customization additions were a welcome sight. However, an aspect of the UI that really didn't change at all are the raid frames. Here are a few items I would like to see added (this is from a healer's perspective.): 1. The ability to resize buffs and debuffs independently of the overal scale of the raid frames. 2. The ability to manipulate buffs and debuffs. For example, being able to turn off all buffs, or turn off all debuffs except those which can be dispelled, move the location of the buffs relative to the frame, etc. 3. Health bars that are color coded by advance class or roles (tank/healer/dps.) 4. Health bars that will change to a particular color if the player is afflicted by a debuff that can be cleansed. I think the first item is the one which needs the most attention and could be done in a minor patch. I think my fellow healers will agree that currently it is an absolute pain to distinguish when a cleansable debuff is up. Thanks for reading.
  9. Awesome post. Unfortunately GZ is more interested in being rude to people on the forums than acknowledging any of what you wrote here. Reading thru the developer tracker these days makes me cringe at all the zingers.
  10. From the Developer Tracker: Please be advised that the Public Test Server will be unavailable at 6:30PM CST (4:30PM PST/ 8:30PM CST/ 11:30PM GMT/ 12:30AM CET/11:30AM AEST) while we deploy Game Update 1.2. Once the server is up and running, we will post PTS Patch Notes. We'll work to make the server available again as soon as possible, so please watch this thread for updates as they become available. Thank you for your patience!
  11. I hope you're right and I agree with you about the entry level ops/raids. The content leak does seem impressive and I hope they deliver, I just want to make sure it won't be cleared the first week.
  12. This may or may not apply to 16 mans, I am exclusively talking about 8 mans. I am the guild leader of a guild in The Fatman server. We have some good players and some not so good players, we are by no means a world class guild...we neither have the time nor desire. Having said that, our guild was able to complete KP nightmare in about 3 hours, our first time thru. We did it in normal difficulty the first week it came out, skipped hard difficulty and went straight to nightmare. When I first found out there were 3 difficulty modes in the game I was very excited and looked forward to the challenge. I think a lot of semi-hardcore/hardcore PVE'ers out there shared this view. Why put in the effort of three different difficulty settings, when the challenge for them is non-existent? KP is a fun operation, the fights are interesting and overall they are well done encounters, however, there is zero replay value. The same is true for EV, and if not for the high number of bugs in the Soa fight, it would have also been a one or two day clear. Our guild, like I'm sure many others, now does 10 bosses in the hardest level of difficulty in one night and has no reason to log on for the rest of the week (yes we can pvp but our focus is largely pve.) Keep in mind we are not even the top guild in our server and I am sure many other guilds that leveled up faster have had nothing to progress in for over a month. Bioware, I beg you, make nightmare operations WAY harder! Getting a title like The Infernal or The Unyielding should be something that takes time and effort, otherwise the reward is just trivial. That shiny Rakata weapon or armor should be a difficult item to obtain, otherwise you take the insentive to do operations. Harder shouldn't mean more HP or a harder hitting boss, it should also include a new twist or mechanic to add to the challenge. If it is the same repeated mechanic with more HP then it is just a gear/consumable check. I truly feel that if you do this for future ops you will retain a significant number of subscribers like myself who really only have the time to log on for raids on weekdays.
