  1. I pre-ordered and played from launch until very shortly after the free to play transition, promptly left and didn't look back. I decided to see what had changed in 5ish years. I rolled a new character after seeing my old ones inventory was full of augments, mailbox bull of companion gear little memory of *** was what... I was 70 in 3 days using xp bonus and only my class quest line. I had 6 at max level before I left and I don't remember it being this easy, and if its this easy whats the point? Dumbing it down for the masses I get, but...
  2. This has probably been asked a dozen times but... Any snipers notice improved dps with added alacrity?
  3. I keep seeing people saying "who cares, it doesn't effect your game play". When in reality it does, if you run RHMFP's or pug ops for comms, it certainly will effect your game play. Even people that have leveled a toon old school may not read every available skill and bring down the group/op because they out leveled their skill with that class. Ad the brand new players that PL their first toon to 50 in a day or two and it's even worse. There shouldn't be any double xp to begin with, it's already way too easy to level. I remember the early days of EQ and meeting someone with a 50 main was cool. SWTOR on the other hand it's very common to hear someone say in an op "well if needed I can log on my Jugg, Op healer, sniper, assassin or PT if needed". Children these days feel entitled to have everything handed to them. That's half the reason SWTOR failed so miserably at launch, within a month everyone was 50. No sense of accomplishment, no feeling of time invested, no feeling of anything lost by walking away. Cut xp in half, not double it...
  4. My wife has complained several times about not receiving credits after selling items on the GTN and I just assumed she had somehow made mistake. Well, last night I put 12 advanced neural augmentors on the GTN, no emails waiting this morning when I logged in so I checked the GTN and the augmentors where not there! Items gone, no cash, in fact I am out the cost of posting them in the first place. Has this happened to anyone else? I now believe my wife, even tho she contacted BW and they say told her there was no record of her posting anything for sale. This is somewhat alarming, being out 80k is one thing, but what if what some higher end items? Something is wrong here...
  5. AT effing up everything you touch, GTN is borked, sometimes I can list 3 items before the create sale button stops working, but usually only 1. Since I know better send a ticket I will ask the general public for a work around, or is constant re-logging to list items on GTN and checking mail a new feature I was unaware of?
  6. I did ad them to my ignore so I wouldn't have that problem with them again. I doubt my ignore list is long enough to ad all the greedy players I run across tho... It would be nice to see BW actually do some needed fixes, if they even have the resources do that anymore. Sadly on another topic, I already bought RotHC for both of my accounts and am scared to death that some intern programmed it and will be another headache for years to come.
  7. Just wanted to whine a little, because this really sucks and should have been addressed long ago. A Columi main hand finally dropped after many runs and I lost out on it to a greedy person that could not equip it and didn't care. I sent a whisper and was ignored. There is no reason at all loot can't be set to give classes that can actually equip the items preference. And while you are at it fix the HK encounter in Foundry, my god BW, it's been over a year.
  8. PWi for a couple of years, ya maybe that was a little harsh lol... I had a mental vision of fleet full of ADHD kids jumping constantly and general chat being even more juvenile than it is already.
  9. I am torn about this game going F2P, the increased population might be nice, but at what cost. I do enjoy this game, in large part because I play a lot with my wife, but there are still so many things that bother me. For one is the state of the game post. 1. Our game is awesome. People love it and want to play it. Should have read (Our game is awesome. People really "wanted" to love it and play it.) But of course the majority that tried it did not love or want to play it. Now someone that has been playing another game for years will have a hard time leaving friends and time spent acquiring gear, they would need something spectacular to make that switch. We are not cattle, funneling us through planets will never work, people like wide open zones. Light armor wearers should never be able to tank. That being said I play a 50 assassin, DPS, because I think making light armor assassins able to tank any HM or OP is easily the dumbest thing I have ever seen. It seems as though in the future cloth and metal have the same damage mitigating quality. Juggs need to some major love in the taunt/agro department. I know the elitists will not want this, obviously they don't want their epeens lopped off but it needs to happen. There is no need to dumb it down too much but ask yourself this, do you really want an influx of awful tanks that can't hold agro? Xp needs a serious rework, in a HUGE way. I started an Op and quested to level 50 like everyone else, checked my /played after hitting 50, 5 days.... 5 days played to reach max level. This alone is a game killer, you have limited end game content but can get there insanely fast. I am assuming a majority of F2P players will be juvenile. This coupled with anyone with no job reaching 50 in less than a week will be disastrous for the community. Last but not least is the glaring crashing and loading problems. I am fortunate and have not experienced a crash yet but many have, I have however, had my loading bar lock at 25% after releasing during an op in which case I needed to log out to character select and wait for a while to log back in. I know all of these things have been touched on before but I felt like ranting a bit. Let the flames begin...
  10. Me and the wife were talking about this subject yesterday over breakfast, yeah we're nerds. We started playing MMO's together about 11 years ago, Eq, EQ2, WoW, PWI and now SWTOR. This game does have a lot of bugs, more so that other games, but the kicker is every other game would implement an emergency patch to repair the worst offenders asap, not wait weeks. The GTN problem, SoE would have re-patched in less than 24 hours to resolve that issue, not wait a week or two. Just to mention one, and there are many. Hell HK-47 got all buggy last night and was stuck inside his core shooting us but we could not fight back, right after spawning two sets of assassination droids back to back. We had to run out of agro range and pull him out to continue the fight. Encounters like this should have been finished and working perfectly many months ago. I go enjoy this game, been playing since beta and have 2 subs running since release. We will continue to play until something better comes along, just like every other game we played. But it is buggy and the company either spends it's resources on new content or just flat out doesn't have the man power to maintain the game properly anymore. As for F2P, it will only ad an influx of haters, some issues need to be addressed first to make the game enjoyable for all. The two most obvious are... Heals for one, Cast times need to be reduced or healing effects need to be increased. Juggs need some major love, taunt threat needs to be increased, especially AE taunts, Heavy Armor needs a major damage mitigation increase. Light armor needs to be just that, lets face it, there is NO difference between light armor and heavy armor, just class restrictions, this is easily the dumbest thing I have ever seen in any game. Healing and tanking are disproportionately harder than dps, and unless they are made easier for the masses F2P wont help the cause at all. We will just have even longer ques...
  11. The LAST thing this game needs is a way to advance through levels quicker. XP needs to be seriously nerfed... That's why you end up playing story lines over again, because you get max level WAY too fast. I remember in other big MMO's having trouble with a run and someone would switch to their 50 (or whatever max level was) and people would be in awe, Dude... you got a 50? SWEET!!! Now in TOR people saying they have a 50 to help isn't rare at all, in fact it usually goes something like, Player 1 "I can log my full Rakata Jugg, Sorc, Op or Assassin if guys want me to", Player two offers up his 50 Marauder, Sniper or Jugg all in full Black Hole gear. The game is fun, I still play obviously but... BW really Effed up with XP. No YOU do not need to advance faster, in fact the game needs to cut XP gain across the board by, at the very least half.
  12. Joe Because people can't spell.
