I have been playing a smuggler healer for a bit, and enjoying it, although it seems underpowered compared to the trooper healer I have. Then I just had a nasty thought, I have been using a scattergun in my off hand, as that gives some extra special abilities. I just thought, would I get dual wielding healing if I had a blaster pistol in the off hand instead of a scattergun? Anyone know the answer, have I been nerfing myself?

I have to say on the server I am on the Republic almost always get their A's handed to them. I'm pretty sure its the players.

I hate to break this to you, but you may have jumped from one sinking ship to another. SWTOR has had serious issues in the last month, lots of people left in disgust cos they couldn't even get a patch. Hopefully that is ironed out and all is good. Its is a fun game to play, when you can play.

They kick serious butt in games though. I would be dubious of the shared graphics card. A good site to compare graphics cards is notebookcheck.net. So Europe gets patched in the middle fo the day Tuesday. Probably not peak use time, many people at work. US i soptimisze for central, midnight shut down is too early for many west coast players, but the east coast is pretty OK. Asia and Australia are the ones getting nailed. 6:30pm shut down for 4 to 8 hours? Hard to see how that could be called off-peak. Really its democracy though, best time for the most. Hopefully once Asian severs get going this will be somewhat remedied.

So I tried buying a few tokens and playing a song on the cantina jukebox. Not sure this did much for me. I was thinking though, wouldn't it be cool if when you went to a jukebox it gave you a list of indi artist's songs that you could play? If artists could submit songs, and they were rotated through the juke boxes, that would give us a real reason to go and try them out. You never know, a new artist might get discovered this way as well. Then you could have live in game concerts in the cantina and... Well, seems cool t me anyway.

Imperial Agents and SMugglers are equivalent. So you could find the match for a scoundrel under agent somewhere. I would pick a class to complement your friends republic toon, and enjoy playing with them. Then when want to play and your buddy is not online, explore the Imperial classes. Each class is a different experience and they all have good story lines.
