  1. I hear ya there - I play all three healer classes, and I certainly do not see how on earth people think the healing is overpowered. I get hit by melee and its like a hot knife through butter on my Seer, and its not much better on the others. I was so excited for the xpac, but honestly WZ's are so painful most days I dont know if my husband and I will continue on with the subs - feels pointless. I have never had my characters feel so powerless at any point since release - and that includes the 1.2 mega-nerf.
  2. Definitely ignore that troll! Best of luck to you both - I too am a healer and met my RL husband (tank) in an MMO a long time ago - EQ in fact. Yes we are geeks - but we are also professionals, he a computer engineer and myself a college professor who teaches in the realm of art/technology/philosophy. We've spent 13 very happy years together so far
  3. My family let our subscriptions lapse last summer and returned once the F2P system was implemented - tried it out, was not crazy about it and happily re-upped our subscriptions - we have been having a great time ever since. If we see something interesting with the new packs - we pick some of them up, or buy the items on the GTN - sure some of the stuff is too rich for my blood but that is okay by me - we shouldn't have everything we want anyway right Besides, it gives me something to save my money for on my giant stable of alts. I dunno - I feel sad for the folks who are angry and upset, about the cartel market, factions, bolstering, etc. After playing MMO's steadily since UO and EQ - Bioware might not always get it right, but it sure does seem like they are trying to, and listening to customers - this is a business after all - it's purpose is to make a profit for the company that created and operates it. Pretty simple. I feel that I get a lot of bang for my entertainment buck.
  4. hahaha! Great editing - another well done sir from me
  5. I have leveled up all three heal classes with Seer as main - as the above posters have stated, equipping your tank well is key. I switch to DPS companions when I get into the mid 30's until max level and being Biochem doesn't hurt. I actually found leveling the consular easier than the other 2.
  6. I healed my ever lovin *ss off all day in WZ's and had many where I got nothing...if Bioware ever wanted to demoralize a person more - nerf your sage then give no medals for fighting and healing your heart out...nice. What has been really fun is now nightmarish - Bioware I was a big advocate for this game but frankly this change is realllllllly bad and a terrible move.
  7. I was going to say something bu
  8. I too have been busting my hump all day long in Warzones - cant seem to counter the metric ton of incoming damage to my teamates or myself so i am constantly dead it seems. I am a good healer - maybe not the best but solid. My husband called to ask how the new patch is and I burst into tears - so demoralized that I finally left my team and logged out utterly defeated. I dunno - I know my class was nerfed but it is so bad I am not sure she is viable for much of anything honestly.

    Thanks!

For gutting my class - After my class quest bugged and broke at level 47 on my first sage and you were not able to fix it - I rerolled another one and leveled her to 50 so I could progress. Now you gut the sage so I can barely get a medal in WZ's when I am healing my bloody **s off - I can no longer even keep myself alive. I feel like I have been ignited with gasoline I am dead so fast - my teamates are all consoling me about it - yesterday I was a superstar for helping keep my team alive - and today I have become a liabilty. Just want to say THANKS!
  10. I guess I will keep hoping for good news for broken class quests in an upcoming patch /sigh. Thanks for your help everyone.
  11. My class quest bugged when I was at level 47 a couple of weeks back (Jedi Consular/Seer) when I was sent to "Shattering" - the quest line basically disappeared after my screen froze. After multiple tickets that have been escalated - now they just close them and tell me to keep my eye on the patch notes...I guess a rollback is not possible as that is not an option. I am still in a bit of shock that the best response is to hope that my broken class quest is fixed in an upcoming patch. My question is this - If I cannot complete my class quest line does that mean that this character will be unable to do Belsavis and Ilum dailies? I assume that other than affection gains it also means that any progression with my companions is also pretty much at a standstill right? This is not my first character at 50 - but she has become my favorite. My husband and I leveled up together and are both Social 5, now that I have realized that I probably cant even do lvl 50 dailies I am pretty bummed. I guess I've got two choices - get over it, try again with another consular and hope that the game wont bug out on me - or cancel my subscription. So - anyone know if the dailies are tied to class quest completion? I wasn't sure.
  12. So deep into Dark 5 on my sage that her face should be completely black with two red coals for eyes lol - I run with Zenith. If there is a dark side choice that I can't bring myself to select due to personal feelings - I just let the timer run out and my husband's light side toon makes the choice. All of my other characters are light side - so my consular rules as the bad girl.
  13. I very much want Zenith as my Sage's romance partner (well other than my RL husband lol) - I like that cranky, tough personality, his dry humor cracks me up - I wasn't happy on my Commando until I had Aric Jorgan in a leopard print thong professing his undying love As much as I want to like Felix - I can't stand his personality. I've taken to calling him Lieutenant Stupid - and consider Zenith my consular's unrequited love interest. Maybe they will throw us a bone and open up that possibility one of these days.
  14. Risha Loves Luxury and Underworld Goods. Here is a link to a great compilation that is accurate - it lives on my desk. http://www.oldrepublic.net/261-swtor-companion-gifts-guide-how-buy-your-love.html
  15. I have healers across all three classes on both sides - have been experimenting with both since beta. I can say that by far the Seer/Sorc are the least headache to play as a healer - in any situation. As anyone who plays a healer can attest - you have enough balls in the air to deal as it is than to have sketchy dynamics at play as well - mechanics which if not perfectly executed will result in repeated failure for your group. I actually love my trooper and commando more - really was invested with their story lines - but my original main, the commando, has pretty much been on the shelf not long after hitting 50. I plan to never bring the scoundrel/Op to the most challenging content in the game - as I know for myself, I do not have the skills to execute the healing mechanics rapidly enough. I have played healer mains in ever MMO since EQ. I really enjoy the game and look forward to continued improvements that make healing better across all classes. When certain game situations/mechanics become more stressful than my job as a college professor - this worries me - put up with enough BS one simply moves on. I apparently am not a good enough healer to tackle the hard stuff - though I was/am in top raiding guilds in EQ, WoW etc. A good chunk of our friends are already pretty much gone from SWTOR. You fail enough times, you quit. It breaks my heart because my husband and I love this game - it would be a tragedy if the disparity between healers is not addressed immediately. It is destroying the game.
  16. I too would like more chances to flirt! My husband gets all sorts of them with his toons - On the companion romance topic, my main at 50 is happily ensconsed with cranky Aric - and my smuggler loves her Corso...but why in the world cannot consulars have a romance with Zenith! I really do not care for Iresso's personality - I love that crabby Zenith though - he is a perfect fit for my sage. It is not fair that females don't get these flirt opportunities - heck in my experience we are the ones who do most of the flirting in the real world - why not in our fantasy games as well
  17. This is a huge pet peeve of mine - that timer needs to be a bit more forgiving. I was awaiting respawn one evening when my daughter came in to ask me a quick question - I obviously missed my opportunity to rejoin the fray becasue the next thing I knew I was back at the fleet...and furious. As it is in its current form it just silly.
  18. If you join PVP as a group/team - when you leave the wz you remain grouped. It's a small gripe but drives my husband and I nuts.
  19. I plan to use some of the 20 and 40 pvp armors for my companions - the heavy armor looks pretty sharp at 20 and 40, as well as the medium armor, they are all modable. Doesn't take too long to get even if you are not a big pvp'er.
  20. You can totally flirt with Jonas - Aric gets a bit flustered and cranky and wonders if he is the only one interested in getting the job done, which I found hilarious. It took a while to thaw Jorgan out but its worth it its been a running joke in our guild that I would have him in a leopard print thong eventually...guild message now reads Crux's companion Aric Jorgan croons the theme from An Officer and a Gentleman - "Love lift us up where we belong"....haha His voice acting is great - really suits his character and while a lot of folks do not like him (as many do not like Corso) I find his qualities most excellent for a dependable companion - and he looks good in leopard print. If I had my way I would have Master Quilb from Tython as a Cathar companion - that big hair, bathrobe and "Ohhh a Fleshraider baby" just kills me.
  21. Whenever I use trauma probe I think to myself 'hamburger droid says you need a heal' - so no name but they remind me of floating metal hamburgers lol.
  22. September 25th here - recovered from rising at the ********* of dawn pst to hit F5 for an hour and a half lol. I have plenty to do with work/teaching until Friday evening - so I am hoping my husband and I will get to play this weekend at least. I went from incredibly excited to angry to now - resigned. I can understand the logic for the staggered release - yet the widespread perception of being cheated out of something by the way pre-launch and launch has been handled is troubling. Doesn't seem to be a good model. I am trying to remember that old Zen adage - If you have no expectations, then you can never be disappointed. “It was one of those times you feel a sense of loss, even though you didn't have something in the first place. I guess that's what disappointment is- a sense of loss for something you never had.” ― Deb Caletti, The Nature of Jade
  23. My name is going to be the joooooosh-joooosh sound a swinging light saber makes. Or if I can figure out how to phonetically work out the sound Snoopy makes when he's crabby...
