So I have more likely hood blasting my way through heroic zones than sitting in a lvl 3 beast spawn is what I am getting out of that? Thanks!

Hey everyone, Is there a way to get commendations other than specific quest rewards? Someone in-game mentioned that they were from random drops but I was just hoping to get some confirmation on that so I am not sitting around blasting Aak dogs. Thanks!
