  1. I just transfered over from The Harbinger with a RL friend of mine about a week ago, in search of more competitive pvp. We are both thrilled to be here, so just wanted to drop by and say hi. See you all around in rateds/regs/world pvp! White-wolf
  2. I feel pvp is fun, has come a long way, and is headed in the right direction. Problem?
  3. What issue? All I hear is crying from people who want to win without competing, succeed without putting in the work, and getting better without learning. I see no issue here. Only foolishness.
  4. People still trying to make excuses for a lack of skill, competitive spirit, and communication skills? I shouldn't be surprised.
  5. Obviously this game isn't for you, and I don't need to see you in game to know that. You constantly complain about trivial, childish things, and you claim success is only gear based, not skill. If that's the case we can meet somewhere and take the time to mod exactly the same for our respective classes, and we will duel 10 times and you should win 5 of them. I have no problem being confident I win at least 8 of them, and that's based solely on your flawed logic and ignorance. Premades don't guarantee wins, and pugs aren't always awful and unorganized. And it's hard to respect any adult who complains about bullies, anywhere, let alone a freaking video game. Quit playing, or get better. People act like it's such cruel advice, the same can be applied anywhere in life. "But it's a game", so freaking what? No one competitive says "its just a game" , and interestingly enough, us who aim to be competitive in all areas of life, (yes, we can be competitive and have fun at the same time, crazy isn't it?) want nothing to do with you all who's version of fun is, not following directions, and doing what they want because they can. The bottom line is that what you claim simply isn't true. There is alot of skill involved, and to say otherwise is both ignorant and irresponsible. Otherwise my "gimped class" wouldn't be able to beat "op classes" (I don't use that phrase for the record, but I mock those who do use the op card) consistently, and here's a hint: It's not a gear disparity, and it's not me being all that either.
  6. Basically this. Please BioWare make it so threads have to be approved before they appear.
  7. Just stop. He's been owning you for pages.
  8. I translated this as, " i can't compete with people who adapted faster than I, I wish BW would simplify this for me and others like me because the best players and most dedicated players should have the least edges possible, since the fact that they are better, and more dedicated to becoming better is already too much for me to handle."
  9. I love how you made a point to add " an elite warlord's opinion." as if that means something. I have that rank as well and it makes my opinion no better than anyone elses.
  10. By and large this is only your opinion, while I agree there are some problems with the game, I have a marvelous time @ 55, I did undergeared, semi geared, and maxed out. So to each their own, but don't act like you speak for everyone. In the end, the rest of us don't care whether you play or not, at least us who aren't sheep don't.
  11. Good post. Well said, except for the first sentence. I am one of the only people who is competitive, yet has no problem admiting when someone better comes along, and am always open to new things. I wish more people were like me.
  12. I can't? I most certainly can. That notion is ridiculous. PvP for gear? That's what raiding is about, not PvP. I grind for gear in PvP because it's a necessary evil, not because I can't live without it. I PvP to compete against other live players from around the world. Period. And you don't "need" to measure skill "in game" as you suggested. That's what we play the matches for. You would never find a flawless method for raking skill, in fact skill is subjective anyway. Just get to know people and their playstyles through experience, like I don't know, life. Exactly. Not that gear grinding can't be fun, but if they did away with all gear in pvp I wouldn't bat an eye, in fact I would probably enjoy it more. There is nothing rewarding about stomping someone in recruit gear or any equivalent, even if I did "work" for my gear and the other person didn't. They may not have had the time. That doesn't equate to skill. And real competitive natured people like myself are concerned with true displays of skill, not disadvantaged players statwise.
  13. I agree. Well said. I get sick and tired of reading pro-make-things-easier-for-people-who-simply-fail ideologies. Just because you can't do it right or better than someone else doesn't mean you aren't the problem yourself. It doesn't help that BW caters to the inept for the sake of a profit ("subs"). Pathetic.
  14. It's been a while since I have been in a PVP guild but my interest is revitalized in competitive PVP, and my guild only PVE's for the most part. My main is a Commando DPS but I can heal decently as well, in my humble opinion. I have Skype, Vent, and TS. I am a team player first. Main: White-wolf (Commando) Alt: Shark-bite ( GS lvl 36) Alt II: Meatshield (Guardian lvl 50 -poorly geared, work in progress, was a pve only character until recently)
