  1. Some folks have told me in game that the empire side doesn't just look cooler, but is more deadly. Don't the classes pretty much mirror one another?
  2. Operatives still rock. You should try playing some of the other classes before you say this stuff. Melee classes suck retty hard compared to operatives... especially in pvp.
  3. seems to be in the warzones, especially noticable in huttball. If republics an't get the ball, go the wrong way, can't pass. Its not really a gear issue I also notice they do not communicate, or even read when the ops leader says something. They call everyoen to the middle or left, and people just do nothing.... or go do their own thing. again doesn't seem like a gear thing.
  4. On my server it seems the empire has more players, but not only that the players are way better. The republic seems to be filled with people who no clue how to work together and normally when they get in a pvp match they don't work together or even attempt to do the objectives. they just run around and try to kill stuff.. normally getting ganked.
  5. I read on this forum, that when your bar is all the way up into the white, you should not be able to stunned? I continually get stunned by the same people multiple times even with my bar up all the way. So is it broken or was i mis-informed? it is that white bar that builds as people stun you and slow you and stuff right?
  6. There is a chance maybe they will fix some of this when they implent the artifact stuff? All I know is I WANT to play wtih a light saber. That is why i picked up this game. I currently have a near leveled 37 level sentinel and a 28 or so sage on the good republic side (so I already took a hit in the fun/cool department for balance sake) I think the melee classes all have issues. I know I WISH i had went guardian and pure tank just because that should be fairly simple to play and surviable. Everyone I have interacted with in the game is unhappy with their guardians and sentinels. I know for my sentinel I'm really hoping that at the end game i can do better, but for now i have a very very hard time doing my solo quests. PVP is a real pain too. I spend hours and hours on the game trying to keep my gear current and I get rocked in pvp by operatives in a few hits. I can sort of accept some of this stuff because sentinels are designed to be squishy, but it seems to me they made the jedi classes a little too squishy. I've heard the guardians make crappy tanks, even when spec'd tanks. That is not a good thing. I know sentinels are not good dps at least at my level. My sage rocks everything. No issue soloing anything in the story. No issues in flashpoints or heriocs. I can even solo a few things. I can pretty much do any of the proper level quests. Meaning - I can go into a flashpoint that is level 25 when i'm 25 an not feel gimped. Last night I ran a flashpoint that was level 33. I went in with a rank 41 guardian, 37 sentinel (me), a commando and I think we had someone using DOC to heal (until we got a high level healer). we all had good gear, and we all got wiped over and over again. It could be as some mentioned here eq. But that just means taht GEAR leveling up is obviously an issue and more jedi melee gear needs to be awarded or something. I really really hope this isn't how it is at the end game. I want to play my sentinel not my sage. I am half wondering if many of the attacks should have LESS focus requirement. I wonder if that would would help. It seems to me that getting enough focus where as the other types of classes all can just spam their hard hitters.
  7. I'm just wondering. I had mine up high, but of course i had to switch for pvp. I would have liked to go back if they up the usefulness of the skill so that you can craft some exclusive items for only teh crafter that are great..
  8. far as i can tell operatives are a kill everything class. in solo they can stealth kill u. and they can easily out dps anyone if they ahve tank.. they just sit behind u and 2k 3k 4k you to death over and voer .. must be great leveing them too with a group.
  9. this happens to me constantly. So it's not bs. It's happened to me 3 times just tonight, and it looks like it's even the same bloody stun.. skill.

  11. Everytime i get in a warzone and there is an operative (aside from teh usual power classes) that one seems to be at the top. I seem to get stunned by teh same mover within seconds (after i use my breaker) then they just run around me and back stab me once or twice for 3k minimum per hit. Do sentinels get anything that takes that kinda damage off? His level was the same as mine or a few less. 35 or so. But this is about consistant with waht i see with this class from 20 all teh way to 49
  12. I would love to have a chance to be immune to some of that crap. we are super squishy, dont' erally dps well. Plus we are a melee so we have all the issues melee have in this game. getting thrown around constantly is annoying. I agree.
  13. I'm fairly certain i saw on these very forums people request rewards for world pvp. So bioware can't really win...
  14. I had no issues with warzones last night or any other night. Today and tonight suddenly i'm skipping all over the place. Turning is hard to control. It's acting like it did before shadows were turned off.. Anyone else experiencing this? Sometimes I'll do my jump attack and it will show me the animation for it, then suddenly i'll appear 30 or 50 meters away from my target as if it didn't hit.
  15. I think they should balance it out by actually giving republic more choices for races and clothing and so on, and while fixing the skill trees they can obviously make some stuff look cooler. I rolled 2 republic and 1 empire. The empire perspective is completely new to any of us on top of everything else. The story is much more interesting because of that. We didn't really follow the bad guys in the movies or books. To compensate for that, they have to give republic players something empire doesn't have. How about making those freak'n awesome red and white race charactes playable? Yoda's playable? Extra saber colours. Give us some black clothing too for options!?
  16. people were not complaining about healing too much. This was all about pvp. People were complaining about people buffing themselves up and 1 shotting people in pvp. there were suggested fixes - frankly ripping most of the stims and so on out of pvp warzones would fix it it from that perspective. We won't know exactly how well this works until they put it in. I am one of the players who loves pvp and respected my characters with the pvp required crew skills because of the huge advantage they had. I'm still think more changes are required though. Example - Perhaps make some stims un-usable in warzones (they already have a mech for that the other way around). Making the other skills better would be nice. I saw no reason to stay with Artiface or Synthweaving. One would think these crafting skills should be great for jedi types but they simply were not worth the money, time and effort.
  17. You don't even know what they changed exactly yet. It seems to me they will have toned it down too. I am thinking they should be useable by anyone though (thus tradable)
  18. can't beat em, join em. every match i play now has empire filled with POWER Techs, and Sith Inq's. The matches are not much fun.
  19. How can they not see how silly the operative class is. anyone I know who has rolled on said they would describe as cheezy. They wreck people (not sure but it seems they can stun me over and over and over again. That make sense? then take rediculas amounts of damage even when 5 to 10 ranks below me.

  21. speaking of sentinel in particular or perhaps they are just nurfing other classes. Very difficult to tell what is going on with logs but seems the melee folks are at a huge disadvantage in this game.

  23. I've been playing a few different classes. My sentinel is almost finished compared to the others. The first thing I notice with the others is how easy it is to do way more dps. A my sage and soldier have no issues destroying people. My sentinel just isn't great for dps. I even went so far as going artiface and have epic mods plus crystals and so on, and I still get creamed. I just gave up and decided to go bio so ic an make all my own stims and see if that makes a difference. I shouldn't have to up my crit and power to out damage folks though. if a sentinel gets in close, it should rock people. The problem with most melee classes in this game seems to be the focus. First you hve to get close, then you have to build up your focus, then use an ability. By the time that happens at least in pvp you are already very hurt. The other classes don't have to do that. they have all the nice damage right from the get go and almost never run out of power. I have yet to run out of force with my sage in pvp or pve flashpoints.
  24. I'm having a very hard time with my sentinel. The nature of an MMO means very long game times to really level another class up to 50 to compare properly, but sentinels as far as i can tell are piss poor at best compared to the other classes. I am not 100% sure what it is at this point. But great dps they are not.
  25. thanks i switched from watchman to combat just to see. Not sure I have the skill rotation down ... what do you suggest? leap attack, focus generator, then what? I'm level 33, so i have most of hte skills unlocked.
