  1. Hey folks, Our plan right now is to bring PTS by the end of the week (assuming everything stays on track). Here are the changes you will see to the Alderaan Stronghold based on your feedback: A variety of bug fixes throughout including issues such as expansion doors not opening after purchase. Made a number of changes throughout the Stronghold to hook quantity and placement. Hooks have been added to the Ancient Ruins area outside. Taxis will now be Thrantas!Known issues: The map for the Alderaan Stronghold and the taxis are not functioning properly.   2. Hey folks, In addition to the Alderaan Stronghold and story update in 6.1, there are also a host of class changes coming. Below you will find a list of the Class changes you will find in our next PTS build that are planned for 6.1 later this week. The list includes changes to classes and any of their items as well. Dev notes will be in italics below for each change to give some context. Dev note: The healing changes below are part of ongoing balance changes to bring healers to their intended targets. Expect more healer changes and additional targeted class changes in a future update. Empire Inquisitor Sorcerer Enduring Bastion (after Force Barrier) now absorbs roughly 18% less damage Update to the Gathering Force 6pc set bonus: Using Force Speed now reduces the active cooldown of Polarity Shift by 5 seconds (down from 10 seconds). The duration of Polarity Shift is now increased by 5 seconds (down from 10 seconds) and requires Polarity Shift to be used while Force Speed is active. Corruption Sustaining Darkness now heals for roughly 12% more - Powertech Reduced Meteor Brawler Firefall damage by 25% Dev note: Meteor Brawler’s Firefall affect was doing more burst damage than intended overall and so it is being reduced. [*]Fixed an issue where Veteran Ranger set bonus was not getting a benefit from Power Loaders [*]Update to the Veteran Ranger 6pc set bonus: Each Shoulder Cannon rocket has a 75% chance to trigger an additional rocket. When Shoulder Cannon is put on cooldown, it applies Autocannon to you for 60 seconds, firing a rocket at your current target whenever you deal damage. This additional rocket can fire once every 10 seconds. Dev note: The Veteran Ranger set was intended to be the more sustain-focused set for Advanced Prototype discipline, and we realized it was underperforming in that regard. We have slightly modified its functionality to improve its effectiveness and give more consistent damage. Advanced Prototype Energy and Kinetic damage buff from High Energy Gas Cylinder increased to 5% (up from 3%) Power Bracer damage buff increased to 10% (up from 5%) Blood Tracker damage buff increased to 5% (up from 3%) Dev note: Advanced Prototype was underperforming in DPS output, so we slightly increased their passive damage bonuses in the above three changes. [*]Powerlode tactical now increases Energy Burst’s crit chance by 100% Dev note: We noticed this tactical wasn’t getting a lot of use and was extremely situational, so we’ve added an auto-crit aspect to it to solidify it as the burst tactical choice for Advanced Prototype players. - Operative Concealment Acid Lash tactical now increases Acid Blade damage by 60% (down from 100%) Dev note: Concealment Operatives with the Acid Lash tactical are doing a bit too much damage and so we are reducing the benefit of this tactical. Lethality Synox Shots now increases Toxic Blast’s damage by 75% (down from 100%) Dev note: Lethality Operative’s Toxic Blast was becoming their highest priority ability with this tactical and changing their rotation in a way we did not intend. Because of this, we are reducing the damage buff given by the Synox Shots tactical while ensuring it remains a competitive choice. Republic Consular Sage Enduring Bastion (after Force Barrier) now absorbs roughly 18% less damage Update to the Gathering Force 6pc set bonus: Using Force Speed now reduces the active cooldown of Mental Alacrity by 5 seconds (down from 10 seconds). The duration of Mental Alacrity is now increased by 5 seconds (down from 10 seconds) and requires Mental Alacrity to be used while Force Speed is active. Seer Soothing Protection now heals for roughly 12% more - Vanguard Reduced Meteor Brawler Ionfall damage by 25% Dev note: Meteor Brawler’s Ionfall affect was doing more burst damage than intended overall and so it is being reduced. [*]Fixed an issue where Veteran Ranger set bonus was not getting a benefit from Charged Loaders [*]Update to the Veteran Ranger 6pc set bonus: Each Shoulder Cannon rocket has a 75% chance to trigger an additional rocket. [*]Powerlode tactical now increases Cell Burst’s crit chance by 100% Dev note: We noticed this tactical wasn’t getting a lot of use and was extremely situational, so we’ve added an auto-crit aspect to it to solidify it as the burst tactical choice for Tactics players. - Smuggler Scrapper Acid Lash tactical now increases Flechette Round’s damage by 60% (down from 100%) Dev note: Scrapper Smugglers with the Acid Lash tactical are doing a bit too much damage and so we are reducing the benefit of this tactical. Ruffian Synox Shots now increases Sanguinary Shot’s damage by 75% (down from 100%) Dev note: Ruffian Smuggler’s Sanguinary Shot was becoming their highest priority ability with this tactical and changing their rotation in a way we did not intend. Because of this, we are reducing the damage buff given by the Synox Shots tactical while ensuring it remains a competitive choice. Bug Fixes These fixes are happening because we noticed a discrepancy between Gunslinger and Sniper. Gunslinger Dirty Fighting Fixed an issue where Dirty Blast’s DoT from the Exploited Weakness tactical was dealing more damage than intended Sharpshooter Fixed an issue where the Agitating Energies tactical was refreshing Vital Shot and ticking its damage more often than intended Again, these changes will be on the next PTS build which we are targeting to be online before the end of this week.   4. Hey folks, First off, happy new year! We know that with a new year means questions of "what's next" and so let me try to add some clarity to things. What's next? In case you missed our last livestream in December or didn't get a chance to check it out on PTS, Game Update 6.1 is the next thing on the horizon and it is slated for a February release. That update contains our next story beat (around the size of Hearts and Minds) and the new Alderaan Stronghold! Many of you have already have already shared your thoughts on the Stronghold, we are hoping to have PTS back up later this week with some new changes to check out. One other quick note about 6.1 is the usage of the .1 in the Game Update. In the past we have been pretty inconsistent in our Game Update numbering and so we wanted to clean that up. This started at 6.0 but going forward any 6.X update will only increment if there is some story contained in the update. If there is no story, then it will increment by 6.X.X. Ex: After 6.1 if the next update contained story, it would be 6.2. If it doesn't have story it would be 6.1.1. We talked about this last year as well but just a reminder that we have moved away from the big form roadmaps that we used to post. Instead we try to lean more on updates via PTS, posts, livestreams, and blogs. So you should expect to see more about what is beyond 6.1 as we get closer to / beyond its launch. With that said, that doesn't mean Keith will stop swinging in to give you some longer term updates. I would expect before the end of January to see Keith in the forums to give you a bit of a welcome to 2020 which will likely contain some hints at what we are looking at doing this year. I can tell you that the team is really excited about what is coming in 2020 and we are already planning around things for next year, our 10-year anniversary (and beyond)! Thanks everyone. -eric

We made a number of fixes to bolster issues following Onslaught so I am confident the Turret Mission should be fixed.   14. Hey folks, Circling back I want to confirm that what hof_th stated above is what our investigation is seeing as well. From what we can tell so far everyone did in fact receive their credits as intended. What happened is that an issue with our mail server was causing the first mail you receive (no credits, just a note of the sale) was not expiring out of your mailbox as it should have. That issue should now be resolved as well. We are still triple checking everything to ensure that is the case and that no one is missing anything. I will report back as I hear more. -eric

  21. Hey all, PTS is now live! A few quick notes and then we will dive into the questions. Our plan for this PTS is to look for initial feedback on the Stronghold, the rooms, and hook placement. We will be bringing PTS back down this Friday, so it will be pretty quick. Then, we will be back in January with the next and more robust testing phase for Alderaan (coming in 6.1). Below you will find some guiding questions you should try to answer, you don't specifically need to answer them but try to keep them in mind as you leave your feedback. What is your general feeling on the Stronghold? Are there any specific rooms you like, or don't like, and why? Please be specific. Does the Stronghold feel too big? Too small? Why? If you could change one thing about the Stronghold, what would it be? Does the increased hook density feel too cluttered? Does the number and placement of hooks feel to restrictive given the Stronghold's decoration cap? Anything else you want to add? Reminder that pricing is typically not implemented on PTS. Once we know final pricing I can post it. Also, please report any and all bugs on the PTS Bug Report Forum. Thanks all! -eric

  23. Hey folks, I just want to confirm that this was not intended. When the list was being generated to ensure we had all prior year rewards on the vendor we grabbed this one as well by mistake. Unfortunately, since the vendor and the reward are now out in the wild it isn't something we can easily or quickly take away so we are just going to leave that as is. With that said, we know there was something special to this reward, especially at the time it was earned. We are going to look into making good on that in a future game update. I don't have any details today but I will report back when I do. Apologies for any inconvenience this caused! -eric
