  1. At the early levels, it really is just a lot of button mashing. You use almost all of your abilities every cool down until the targets are all dead. Reading a guide is a great way to lay some groundwork. You get an idea for your endgame rotation and start doing as much of it as you can with the abilities you have, and change it when you unlock new abilities. By the time you reach 50-60 your rotation should be locked in, but you won't get to execute it entirely, every fight. In essence, your rotation grows with you, and yes, it gets frustrating knowing there is an optimal way to execute your rotation, but don't let it get to you. Do the research, maybe write down the rotation from the guide and a few other notes, and keep them handy. Re read them when you get new abilities, and see how you can change it up. The guides also provide a good insight into how to gear. For leveling, pummeler gear, versatile aromorings/hilt, no letter on your mods, adept enhancements, and eviscerating or war hero crystals.
  2. I don't know about next expansion, but next story installment? I would wager that Theron is indeed a triple/quadruple/septuple agent. He got wind of this Order while they were seeking weak links in the alliance, or sliced his implants one, which would explain why he never tells you, because they're watching/listening. As for the Order, my bet is on something to the tune of... Tenebrae/ Vitiate/ Valkorion saw his defeat as a small possibility, so put a failsafe in place to active in the event of his death. Force sensitives, possibly vitiate's servants and former children (scourge and kira throw in, as infiltrators to the order, maybe tipped theron off to the order?) Guarding the remains/uninhabited body of T/V/V, with orders to begin a series of tasks once his death was felt through the force. If he succeeded in taking control of the outlander, he could stop it all with a command (since that didnt seem to be his plan from the start), or if he failed, they would be his vengeance. Hence his comment at the end of Kotet there. Not saying he is or isnt dead and gone for good, but this order of whatever being activated with a single purpose, to destroy the alliance and the eternal fleet since T/V/V no longer controls them, as his final /rude to the outlander. Edit: spelling.
  3. While I'm aware that a vast majority of the player base either aren't aware of the forums, or avoid them like the plague, I figured I would ask here anyway... partly because I'm at work and can't log into the game... Wondering what the overall interest in a low level (10-69) leveling/pvp guild would be. Aside from the basics of the question, the guild would essentially be a home for alts, a chance for networking, and a good way to earn some valor ranks on the way to 70... and a chance to learn to pvp with a new class or spec in a safe and encouraging environment. Basically try to get enough people on and playing to run lowbie war zones as a team, or split into teams of 4 and run separately in 4v4s or as a full team if pubs join, or possibly on opposite sides of a wargame. What would happen at 70? Well, that would be up to each player. Bail out and join their main guild, branch off on their own, start another toon and keep the ball rolling, or sit at 70 in the guild and do whatever while others catch up...just as a few examples. Just looking for some feedback here, or if there are already guilds out there like this, maybe to make some connections.
  4. I've played on several servers, especially since transfers opened, and BC has A LOT less complaints about watching the cut scenes. My PC lagged at one cut scene when I was running black talon on pot5, and I got cussed out for not spacebarring. Here, most people will ask before hand "spacebarring or watching?" In my experience. Either way, just a heads up to the group for common courtesy will go a long way.
  5. You have revas listed as an imperial guild on the list. While we have an imperial guild (The Fallen of Revas) No one raids in Fallen. The kill listings are showing blue, so the only place we're listed Empire is at the start where the guilds are listed. Our Guild Site.
  6. woah woah. back up, skippy. they're tying to help by making suggestions on how to keep all the records fair across the board, no need for slingin mud.
  7. Should check out the RP forums. Most of the players that post here are PvE/PvP focused. BC.org (link above) is where the RPers congregate. Best of luck.
  8. Isn't it past your bed time, squirt? No dessert tomorrow!
  9. So, I RPd here the other night and you guys are just terrible at it. I mean, seriously bad. You should uninstall the game and see if you can get your money back. It was terribad. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for being bad RPers. This is a mmoRPG after all. For shame.
  10. Much appreciated. I'll talk it over with the other officers/representatives and get back to you.
  11. Well, that means i've got the popular vote! Now to find a campaign manager to keep up with the demographics...
  12. I would like to throw my hat into the running for server overlord. I promise no new taxes. I vow to lower the price of exotic crafting mats on the GTN. I promise to uphold the traditions of zealous monarchs everywhere. Remember the sacking of Coruscant! (If you're imperial, remember it fondly, if you're republic, get angry) Vote Darksong, Server Overlord 2013!
  13. The WZ wait times here depend on the time of day and your level bracket. Legacy Names are no longer unique. I played on EH for a while, but havent in ages. So i cant compare the two. In short, the que times for FPs depend on your class/role/lvl and for wzs it depends on the time/bracket. Time of day is also a factor for FPs as the server typically dies around 1-2 am cst during the week. Some nights pvp and fps/ops are still hopping up til 3ish cst. Cant speak much to the RP community, i dont RP all that often, but i believe they have their own forums at Begerencolony.org if i got the site wrong, i'm sure someone will correct it.
  14. Note: we had some lockout issues ourselves. People that were there the whole time werent showing as locked. I personally missed one boss fight on 16 man due to PEBKAC issues and was showing as locked to that boss. Not sure whats up... We did all but the last boss as a 16 man, some issues caused us to break into 2 8-mans. Not sure how CM fared on their fight, i'm sure they killed the boss no trouble. Our Kill. Not sure what you'd count this as since it was mostly a 16 man up til the end.
  15. Revas and Colonial Marines are working on 16 man SM content. We're working through S&V last night and tonight. one of the bosses popped an 8 man achievement and caused us all to scratch our heads for a minute. Will post Screenshots of the kill later after we finish. Or someone will.
  16. I can see the appeal of having more frequent Ranked ques, and having a bigger pool of talent for ranked... but again, with the cross server in plain ol' pvp, you run into the botting and the general "i dont care, i just want my marks, lets lose and get this over with" attitude. If theres little chance of seeing these people again, whats to keep everyone from going full blown ****** mode? I see it enough as it is when you're very likely to be friends with someone in this twerp's guild. My example of said twerp is not aimed at anyone specific, just the general tool that rants and tells everyone to go kill themselves for "letting" the other team score/cap/etc framing it as "you guys let them do this" like they're the only one who wasnt in the wrong. Even worse, theres already little to no communication among the average pug pvp team, and these are people you see on a regular basis... imagine how that would work with people you'll likely never see again. Again, pros and cons for me. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesnt. Rift seems to have done it well, WoW did it well for arenas, but piss poorly for standard battlegrounds (bots and whatnot). GW2 had an interesting take with WvWvW, but there are PvE objectives in those, and people get pissy when you put PvE objectives in their PvP areas. Didnt PvP much in the other MMOs i played, or any at all rather. Aside from the occasional ganking i received in Eve. Que times are murder, more or less. at least at the hours ive been playing. I can really see the appeal of shorter que times, but again it comes back to quality vs quantity. Ive had some good matches the last couple of nights on Atarith. We lost our fair share, but we put up a fight. More so thursday night than friday night, but fun was still had.
  17. I do find it amazing how someone always manages to derail a thread that has nothing to do with myrm or Neo or their guild by taking pot shots. Keep it on topic please. If your posts aren't edited to something on topic by the time I get off work, I'm flagging the lot of them. Kudos and thanks to those if you who have kept it on topic and have tried to have a productive discussion.
  18. So, I've seen a few threads with this mentioned but haven't seen anything from bioware about it. Thought I'd throw up a thread and get some discussion going on the topic. Personally, I could take it or leave it. In WoW, I feel like it killed PvP tbh. With its introduction, came the pvp bots and it became a crapshoot on who was going to win the BG (team with the least bots). In Rift, I feel like they made it work well enough until they did away with the faction barrier, but that's neither here nor there. In old school WoW I was in a little RP guild or unguilded at the time, can't recall exactly, but I had a constant spot with the big PvP guild. They knew they had a solid healer when they saw my name. The comradarie was great. Then it was all gone, you never faced the same people twice it felt like. Same in rift, never fought the same people twice. Then comes SWTOR and the comradarie returned! I've been overjoyed to pvp with and against most of you time and time again. Even if you're repeatedly roflstomping me. It just pushes me to get better, or ask questions, or ask for advice. With cross server, yes, the ques will be shorter, but it will be a lesser experience. Bots will run to a node to guard and get their 1 medal to earn valor/comms and then sit idle for the match. There will be no comradarie outside of pugging for premades on the fleet. Guess it boils down to a quality over quantity issue. I prefer quality.
  19. I like this idea. /darksongsealofapproval not that i'll ever break a record, but still.
  20. Makes me wonder what these f2p and other new players would think if they'd played against you and the other watchman sents/maras before the self healing nerf. >.> It was never pleasant to see a sent/mara coming for your node to begin with, but when it was someone you needed almost a full team to drop, the word hack was thrown around alot.
  21. That you wanted to be Darth Maul like about every other fan that squealed with joy when they saw zabraks were playable?
