  1. I know there have already been topics regarding in-game macros. But the ones i have read is to old to bump, is more about addons then macros, have gone off-topic or have a bit to much non-constructive posts. Hope i'm not step on someones toes bringing this up for discussion again. I have been in contact with in-game customer support earlier today about macro support. Reason i made a ticket about it is that i have read posts in forums where people have state its promised we going to get macros later, but i have never seen it confirmed in by bioware in forums or elsewhere. By the answear i got, i would say in-game macro support in future is not confirmed, but might be added if it is highly supported by the players. The contact i talked with over customer support have forwarded my suggestion to the developers and told me to create a topic about it here so they can read the discussion about it. I am one of those that want macros, as long as it does not support automation. The GCD helps against that. The macros i welcome and an explanation what they do for people thats new to this * Modifier macros. An example for juggernaut tank is to use offensive/threat abilitys on regular key press (1-5 for example). and add shift, ctrl or alt as modifier for rage builders and defensive abilitys (shift + 1-5). Could be used with #show tooltip to changes the icon in spellbar when modifier using modifier key. For healers the modifier key can be used for damaging attacks/spells. A very good solution for people that want less spellbars on screen for a cleaner UI. * Macros to build in high priority/cooldowns/procs with regular no-cd abilitys. A good example is a juggernaut rage builder macro with Assault (no cd) and Sundering Assault (cd) (when Sundering Assault is off-cd, SA is cast, when its on cd regular assault is cast). It would take one additional ability off the spellbar to make a cleaner UI. * Mouse over macros. Would be good for juggernaut's guard ability/buff, class buffs, heals, cleanse abilitys and ressurection. I would welcome it, but can live without it as im used to target other players manually for healing as well. * Operation warning macros. Good for operation leaders to perform ready checks, tell people to get out of AoE during bossfights, sharing tactics and so on. * Chat macros. Good for guild recruitment and looking for groups. If above macros have advantage over players not using macros, its minor advantages. It is not automation macros and they dont play the game for you. People stating that does not know how macros work. Macros can sometimes be a disadvantage for people using it, most high priority/cd/procs is best to be used manually to keep control over them to avoid wasting them. The only advantage i see with macros is the possibility to have less spell bars for a cleaner UI If macros get supported in the future, im going to make my best trying to help people that want to try macros but have problems to get it to work. And probably write some kind of a macro guide. Whats your opinions about macros? Do you like or dislike them? Why do you like or dislike them? Have you tried macros in other games? What kinds of macros do you want or do not want in the game? Sorry for my poor english btw, its not my native language.
