  1. Maybe they can give a freebie to everyone with 300+ troll posts moaning about being undervalued? "You are one of our most prolific and sincere forum posters, so we'd like to give you a new troll vanity pet as a thank you for your idiotic posting." But then if BioWare DO learn their lesson, it might say: "We are sincerely sorry that in a game with over a million subscribers we failed to meet your specific, individual and important needs. Despite this being an MMO BioWare are committed to ensuring every decision they make is accepted and welcomed by all. To this end we've sent you a free pet to give you a reason to feel better. It's a Troll, because... um.... call it a Gamorrean ok?" This thread stopped making sense at page 30, and it now just two groups of people refusing to accept the others point of view. It's only unlocked to prevent the rest of the forum from being spammed. I know official forums are generally poorer quality, but considering so many people value their real life so much they haven't hit 50 yet, it's surprising that they've got time to post.
  2. You don't get it, so maybe a fresh perspective or input will help. The email doesn't mention non50's at all. We're agreed on that yes? Because it makes no reference to people who aren't level 50, it doesn't make a comparison to them. Here's the statement again: We can infer the following ONLY (because it is only sent to 50's): 1. Level 50 toons are highly valued and highly active 2. Bioware appreciate active level 50 players 3. This appreciation will result in 30 days free time We can't assume anything else with just this excerpt. By your own admission the email doesn't refer to another player type, and BioWare do not use any exclusive terms i.e. replacing "one of our most" with "our most". So Freekyjason you keep calling the other guy a troll as he is wrong, but you're making an assumption and not reading the text properly. If you can't see that then we can't help you, sorry.
  3. Where do BioWare say this is for Loyal players? My email says: You are one of our most active and valued high level players and we know you have been waiting patiently for Game Update 1.2: Legacy. To show our appreciation, check out all the great new features this update has to offer-on us. We will be adding an additional 30 days of game time to your account at no charge* Nothing about Loyalty. Active & Valued high level player, sure. No loyalty.
  4. How is server population a valid reason for "loyal" customers not being 50. Wait. "I'm a loyal player but as soon as I log on and see less than 50 people in fleet, I'm re-rolling. This server's dead" That's not loyal. Short-sighted, panicked, stupid even. But not loyal. Loyalty isn't just measured by how long you've subscribed, it's in the effort you've made to become a part of the community. Bailing as soon as you see server population drop isn't loyalty, and frankly the SW:ToR community would be better off without such fickle players.
  5. I've tried to read as much of this as possible, but some of the partisan and emotive responses are simply idiotic. 1. It's not a reward, it's an apology. BioWare are saying sorry for their lack of 50 content. If you're not 50 yet, they've nothing to apologise for. Complaining is akin to EU players complaining that US players got a 3 day credit for a 3 day server downtime that affected the US only. 2. "I play this for the stories" isn't a valid excuse for not being 50. The story extends into level 50 and beyond, so if you're sitting with 8 level 35's then you seem to have a low attention span. I play this MMO for stories too, and I completed my Marauder's story quest before doing any level 50 content, despite hitting 50 halfway through the last planet. I actually find it surprising that anyone can finish their story before 50, especially as alt-aholics are likely to be rested often. 3. "I work/have family/don't play often" IS a valid excuse for not being 50. This is just a game and even if you've subscribed from launch and play when you can and you're still lvl 43, that's okay. Why do you feel entitled to a credit for a game you rarely play and have invested so little time in? I get that people see others getting a freebie and want to moan. You need however to accept that when playing an MMO, these things happen. MMO developers have to try to walk a tightrope of player opinion but player's have a HUGE range of opinions. Don't let this change how/if you enjoy this game.
  6. You can only send to members of your own Legacy, so it's very limited and will only appeal as an economical tool for a very small margin of players. I find it immensely useful, as I have several items that I can't use on Empire side that a Republic alt will find very valuable.
  7. I honestly don't understand how having 48 quickslots aren't enough. I agree with the above poster that I'd rather have less clutter than more, but I need to ask some questions. Do you use all your abilities? Each class I've played so far has a few abilities that either become less useful or are replaced as you skill up. My Marauder for example has 2 abilities that I haven't used since level 40, ever. They're not on my toolbar. I'm Carnage specced so I only have Ataru Form on my quickslots, as I'll never use anything else. Sprint is there so I know its on, but realistically I never use it so it can go too. I've got about 25-30 (2½ bars) of abilities used often so I'm finding the new UI great. Being able to take stims etc. down to 1 button would be good, but otherwise its great.
