Two Whole days ago I agreed with the OP. Not anymore. Modable gear is the "appearance tab". It took me a few days and 25 or so lvls to realise how nice the mod system is. My Jedi Knight is currently wearing heavy Trooper style boots because I stripped all the aim mods out of it and replaced them with guardian mods and they are still better than all the blues I can find on the Auction house or on the com vendors for my lvl. The one thing I'm worried about and haven't seen is CRAFTED modable gear. If it cant be made and isnt different from what drops, armor crafting will be a bit pointless.

This is the best launch I've been a part of. Most of the issues I see ppl having both in and out of the game is the lack of reading directions and or using any common sense
