Been into MMOs for a while, hardcore PvE in WoW for 4 years, some time spent on Lotro and lots of MUDs before all that jazz.

If you follow that then you will be not making use of the multiple procs based off lightning strike and all the damage boosting talents for it in the lightning tree. The rotation you listed, you would be better off going full madness then hybrid to get the 31 pointer(Internal damage is not mitigated by armor). Edit- For that matter, losing the 31 point talent in either madness or lightning is a bad choice. Both hit for a decent amount, both are internal damage so it's not mitigated by armor, and one is guaranteed to crit if you have affliction up(which you should all the time). The only thing Hybrid specs will be good for is holding your OPs team back.

It's a horrible idea. You wont have a DPS rotation to speak of and will not be getting the most out of sticking to one tree. Lets say you go Affliction, Crushing Darkness, Deathfield, then what? The lightning tree focuses on spamming lightning strike till you get procs for either chain lightning or force lightning. On the other end you have madness who's main nuke is force lightning and using lightning strike when you get a proc. Both trees follow different paths for main nukes. Spamming anything other then those spells the tree is designed for is a DPS loss.

You must of missed the part about that despite the technical issues it's doing great and players are enjoying the game.

As a healer I let the DPS know right out the bat, this is not WoW, CC matters. If you break CC you get 1 free pass, after that you will die. If you want to off-tank, great, go for it! I hope you can off-heal too. Attack the tanks target, don't break CC, don't use AoE when CCed mobs are close together, peel adds off the healer if I get heal aggro(Last boss in Hammer Station for instance) and we will get through this run nice and smooth like and you'll have your shiny new oranges.

What you present there would be more akin to say a mage in wow rolling on gear with spirit. Sure, they can reforge the spirit to hit to make it work, but is it right to take it over a healer? Some would argue sure it is, they are making use of it as an upgrade. I would argue the opposite, upgrade or not, swapping mods or not, taking gear designed for another spec/class just to make it work for yours is not right. It's not wrong, but it's a dick move. Like a End/Will+Def chest drops. Sure I could take the mod out that has Def on it and swap in a Crit one to make it work, but to take that from a sin tank would be a real dick move on my part.

Lets say an orange, light armor chest drops that has willpower on it and a War or BH takes it for looks over me being able to use it on my sorc. That would be ninjaing imo and the player would find themselves quickly blacklisted by the largest guild on the server.

My sorc healer is only 26 at the moment, so I don't have innervate+force surge yet. I have found that using barrier on CD on the tank along with resurgence+ a force bending aided dark heal is very force efficient and can keep him up through most normal damage. The occasional dark infusion is needed. What I like to do is pre-barrier the tank and about a second or two into the pull I'll toss a resurgence, even if he doesn't need it to get the armor buff and force bending. Wait until resurgence is almost off CD then cast dark heal and spam my resurgence so it hits right as the cast ends. This gives about the same healing as a dark infusion+ a HoT+ another force bending buff so I can repeat this.

As a healing sorc I am loving it. One I got resurgence+2/2 force bending my healing changed from spamming dark infusion to resurgence->dark heal+shield on CD unless the damage incoming is larger then normal. With khem in average gear I can solo all H2s and some H4s with proper use of CC and CDs. Haven't tried to DPS as a sorc in a DPS spec, Although I did DPS athiss in heal spec and the damage seems to be competitive with other DPS specs. Only thing I'm not liking is the lack of decent instant casts.

For healing sorcs, there is no dif. It would only matter for classes like BH and Agents who don't use the force, so force power has no effect.

That's the same spec I planned on using. The only other viable option for that spare point would be sith defiance for the base line 1% damage reduction, which would likely be additive with Life Surge. Would be a bit too strong if they worked multiplicative.

I also had a few questions about Corr Sorcs and felt it better to not start a new thread. -Stats- Obv Willpower is out prime stat. As for secondaries I'm to infer that power/Force power will also affect healing done. If so, which I am pretty sure is true, then that would make it the best secondary stat with alacrity, crit and surge(assuming it works with crit heals[heals don't crit /endbadWoWjoke]) following in that order, true? That site also showed that we get lightning drain at level 1 but I don't recall seeing it in any day 1 vids. If it's gone do we have any in combat force regen mechanic besides speccing into lightning, which I don't really want to do, before we get consumption? Finally, how are the low level heals? Like pre-20 healing as it looks like we start getting other goodies around then.

You aren't in a top end guild so your QQing is nothing more then pointless, angry banter. Would you rather they let everyone in at once and we have to deal with server crashes and 10min+ queues?

Hardmode content is boring and nerfed within a month of release. The fights are almost all just recycled content with stupid easy mechanics. There is no fun in it anymore, just gear grinding. I was 7/7Heroic and bored as hell.
