    questions

Hello, I am returning and have a few probably stupid noob questions. I played Merc up to level 50 at launch and now that I am back I find its like completely useless pretty much. I am now playing a sorc and having fun in the arena. I don't really care about playing the pve aspect so I have just been leveling off the pvp XP. that brings me to wondering about my gear. Since I am only level 37 and get the bolster buff in pvp does gear actually do anything or can I continue to just run around naked till 50 or will having good gear help me fight now? Should I be doing class quests for some kind of rewards that give advantage in pvp that I might need later?
  3. I would like to add this info but no I am not including a movie. I had been playing on an older PC, quad core with GTX8800, XP with 3 gigs of ram. Game ran fine, got up to 28 fps in normal areas, WZ would become a problem when everyone kinda piled into a big fight and it would drop to only a few fps but I was able to play though it most of the time. I finally started fighting on lium and when their would great big fights the fps dropped to pretty much nothing but I would just spam tracer and hope for the best. Since I was playing Imps I would survive the fight most of the time and get points so whatever I thought. However I got bonus from work could of weeks ago, so I bought myself a really nice PC, 6 core 4.3 processors, dual 580 vid cards, 16gigs of ram and thinking ok reps look out I can fight you now. And it is true in a fight when lium is full, when all the aoes are flashing I get about 20fps give or take. Its enough for me to fight very well but still seems pretty lame imo Another thing I noticed is that anytime I join an ops group there, the lag is really bad specially when a base is captured, even when not in an ops group their is a lag spike for a second during the announcement. So I don't join ops groups for that reason. In wz now I do not have any problems but still the fps is about 30 at best. However, everyday at least twice, the game just locks up the pc and I have to hard boot it. I set it to run as XP and that seems to have helped a little but I am not sure. I have played a lot of mmo's and my feelings is this engine is not to good for mass pvp.
  4. Ty ty, I was trying to find it for like 20 mins, removing my CC info was the only thing I could think of doing. After that i looked to see if anyone else had this issue.
  5. "The question of the month: Will you keep your subscription up? and why? " I don't honestly know. I play one char in any game, I never feel the need to play a bunch of alts. I got a gunslinger to 50 a day ago and had a lot of fun along the way. But their are a lot of things and bugs I don't like. I feel ripped off on the crafting and hate the UI and the fact their is no way to look for groups. So I'm going to take a few days off, wait till after the patch and give it some thought. I did join a guild and the people I have met in it are pretty cool. If they get leveled up pretty soon and start actually running some level 50 flash points I will for sure stick around just to have fun with them at the least. Other than that the game is starting to feel kinda boring.
  6. The software is called keyclone and can work with any game or software. I used it in Shadowbane to play up to 10 accts because they were free. I would put 9 on one pc and turn down the grafix and be active on my main pc to farm gold for our guild at night when not many pks were around. In pvp I would reduce to just 3-4 accts depending on the class I was playing. But mostly it was just one acct to pvp with because once you lose one char you become really useless. And no matter what your reaction time is slower regardless. As far as having all the chars do all the same things at once thats up to the person. You can set it up to do a lot more than that. Also combined with a G11 keyboard that can record macros or key combos you can have healers, tanks, dps, what ever running and doing different things at the same time. You could even add other macro programs that have healers just keeping everyone alive if you don't want to use the G11 or any keyboard like that for that matter. Most of you are right though, pvping with this set up is really hard. I don't think you are considering the reaction times because the more accts you're running the more lag you're causing yourself. It really only works in pve. With that said, I think multiboxing in this game would make for some really easy Hardmode flashpoints considering you only need 4 accts. Or even two accts with 2 companions. Personally I don't care if its bannable or not, what people do with their own time does not matter to me even if their selling gold. Whats the point, others want to buy it, who cares really. Like someone pointed out, credits are pretty useless here anyways.
  7. LOL When I make groups I just grab all dps and don't even bother with the heals, so far its working pretty good if you just fight smart and use CC.
  8. I don't think it takes much PC to run this game. I am having no issues playing and mine is pretty old. 2.4G quad with only 3 gigs of ram on windows XP, running a nvidia 8800ultra. The HD is 10k rpm, if that helps I don't know. I am on a data T1 though and wonder if the connection is what makes the difference, its 1.5 megs Symmetric (up/down) fixed IP.
