  1. I meant contempt. For personal reasons so I don't think you care why though. I listed the credentals because I have a voice. I have a voice because I've done it. I've done it because I rushed through it. Sure, rushing through content may not be what works for you - but it works for me. A good argument requires some form of authority. You don't listen to The Sun (UK newspaper) about politics if you're intelligent, some people do but they lack the aforementioned trait. Authority only helps fuel an argument, the problem is people are jealous of authority and 'being worse', this is why competition is now 'removed' (almost entirely) from primary schools in the UK.

Hey if you read back through all your replies to this thread I think you will discover why you are unhappy and why that isn't really to do with the game

  2. What you dont understand that moderators are not paid no where nearly as much as game makers are paid.

I understand everyone anger, I was there, but do you think that's going to change for better?

    I don't think so.

Imagine if there was no moderation by the minute what this General Discussion for the SWTOR forum would turn into. Think about it. Dont be blind like I was. Give them a chance, a new game that came out is no more expensive than other MMOs that use 7 year old engines.

I'm impressed with graphics I can't deny. It does need some polishing, but which MMO did not need polishing @ Release? Name it? Id love to know.

So how much are you getting paid?

  3. As it is, people don't really recognize the advantages of actually winning the match and many clearly are just out to get their medals and to hell with the rest. These are the people who ignore the Huttball in favor of deathmatching in the middle, who run back and forth to where the fighting is instead of defending objectives on Alderaan, who can't be bothered to keep an eye on the doors in the Voidstar.

The objectives give meaning to what would otherwise be an unseemly brawl, but right now people have little individual incentive to pursue them. A slight bonus to exp/commendations does not, for more selfish players, make it worth the risk of ignoring their personal medal acquisition.

Some medals that might help (come up with some better names obviously):

    Huttball:

Team Player - Threw a pass that led to a point.

Interceptor - Intercepted an enemy pass.

Interdictor - Killed the enemy ball carrier five times.

Clutch Player - Killed the enemy ball carrier within 10m of your end zone.

Bodyguard - Prevented 10k damage to your ball carrier.

Supporter - Healed 10k damage to your ball carrier.

Dirty Tricks - Stunned the enemy ball carrier in the fire/acid.

    Alderaan:

Aggressive Defense - Interrupted 10 enemies attempting to capture an objective.

Defensive Line - Stunned an enemy allowing a teammate to capture an objective.

Stonewall - Defend an objective from 10 attackers.

Babysitter - Gain 1k defender points without seeing any action. (this should have several versions to especially reward this kind of gameplay)

Ninja - Capture an objective under the nose of enemy defenders.

Courageous Defense - Prevent the capture of an objective 5 times as the only defender.

    Voidstar:

Aggressive Defense - Interrupted 15 enemies attempting to capture an objective.

    Savior - Defuse a bomb.

(Many of the Alderaan medals will apply to the Voidstar)

This kind of thing would encourage players to pursue objectives. Right now, medals really only reward fighting, even if that fighting happens to be pointless to the match.
